So the wild flowers just....grow wild? LOL, that sounds stupid. You know what I mean - you don't have to tend them or anything, they're just 'there' every year? (forgive me - I'm from the city) |

Isn't that third one Gladiolus? I had no idea they could grow wild and didn't require a great deal of care! (If that's what that is, lol) |

Nope, I can't remember the name, I would have to look in my wild flowers field guide. |

What is that gigantic red flower, the size of a sunflower? Rather ominous, lol. |

That's a poppy, I grow them every year. They produce a gazillion seeds. It looks a lot bigger than it actually is, I was laying down on the ground looking up to get that photo. |

Ok, I see it now, yes that is a poppy. (Ought to recognize those, they're all over the place out here) A little camera trickery! |

Not yet. The only thing blooming right now are some crocuses, but I didn't take any pictures. But my daffodils and tulips are growing pretty well, hopefully soon. |

Our spring-flowering trees have come and gone. Now the phlox is in full bloom under our roses, which are also full of blooms. Not many wildflowers this year, our winter was too dry. We're 18" short on rain for the past 12 months. |

Yeah, I'm starting to see blooms now, too. And my Spring bulbs are about ready to pop open. And the orange blossoms. |
