Haha, ignore the thread title, I'm weird....
For Tuesday, 7/25/06
1) Lukas Rossi - Bittersweet Symphony
I like this song, not sure why it's on their list though. Doesn't seem like the kind of stuff those guys are going to do. That said, pretty decent arrangement, not too bad although I think he's going to ruin his voice if he keeps that up. Whatever, he's still a major poseur. Which is why he's probably perfect for this band.
2) Zayra Alvarez - Call Me
3) Dana Andrews - About a Girl
Much improved over previous performances, it was a great acoustic set. Great song choice.
4) Patric Pike - Remedy
Not a great song choice, not hard enough performance, but she has a good voice.
5) Toby Rand - White Wedding
Had a rough start, not his range, but it turned out great in the end. Good song choice.
6) Magni - Heroes
Sounded quite good, but is that right for this group? Just not rock n' roll enough. It's a great song, though, great song.
7) Ryan Star - I Alone
Wow, that was a marked improvement, he was excellent - not just vocals, but performance as well. Doesn't hurt that I love this song, lol.
8) Jill Gioia - Brown Sugar
Well, I thought her vocals were sucky, but I thought her antics were appropriate. Not sure why Gilby didn't appreciate the grinding, what the hell does he expect for a group with himself, Tommy Lee and Jason Newsted in it? I mean, bring on the cheese, people.
9) Phil Ritchie - One Headlight
Another poor song choice, don't know why this one was on the selection list either. Come to think of it, not sure why he's on this show either.
10) Dilana - Time After Time
Was worried when they introduced the song, this is one of those that I don't want to hear remade at all, cuz nobody is Cyndi. But man, she gave me chills (as usual) and it was a phenomenal rendition. I approve. I love her voice SOOOO much! And her style. Everything about her. I truly hope she doesn't win this thing, cuz being with those 3 would just stall her career, imo.
11) Josh Logan - No Rain
WTH? Bad karaoke, at best. He's getting worse. And this was truly boring. I even kinda like that song, but....ick.
12) Storm Large - Anything Anything
Ok, this is a favorite favorite favorite song of mine and I was a little concerned, but she did ok. Not "great", but ok.
Prediction for bottom 3:
Zayra Alvarez
Phil Ritchie
Josh Logan

I think the boys are keeping Zayra around to see how nekkid she'll get to keep their attention.
She is the worst singer I've ever seen on a TV talent search of any kind. (Except the AI "auditions," of course.)
