Your Mil doesn't sound like much of a picnic to be around.I'm thinking most guys are obliviuos to there mother's dark side.I know my hubby is. Sounds like you had a looooong day with mil. Glad to hear the teacher is in tune with what is going on with your son. Some kids are very good at manipulating and being mean to there peers. Makes one wonder what that kid's home life is like. Hubby and bil with son came over Saturday to help with the garage. Hubby is gone to Edmonton again for a few days this week. It snowed over night and it stayed, it's chilly but we are suppose to get a chinook coming in. Have a nice Monday everyone.

Hey Happy Monday all! It's a cloudy one today but we have a Chinook arch yonder and that means it's going to be warm and breezy for a day.Nothing much going on here today. I've been online shopping. Ever notice when you call a company concerning an order you've placed the person that you have to talk to cannot speak english very well? This seems to be happening with just about every place I've been ordering from. What the heck is with that anyway?Well I guess this can be the 'Monday pondering' for this week, lol! How's your Monday going?

It sounds like those companies are outsourcing Dis.  That's my guess anyway.

This week is dragging by.  I am having computer withdrawal.  With the kids and hubby out of school this week I haven't been able to get online until now.

Well my weekend was hectic but good.  My daughter had a blast.  She loved being in the parade.  And my neighor offered to take my daughter and her best friend to a Victorian Christmas.  She even had costumes for the girls to wear.  She's a retired art teacher who's children have all grown and moved away.  I think she misses having kids around.

Anyway they entered a contest with their costumes and they won third place.  My daughter was very excited.  Then Sunday she had her first concert.  I was so proud of her.  The kids sounded fantastic for having just been playing for 8 weeks. I didn't hear any mistakes.

I hope you all had a great weekend.  I gotta go shopping.  Have a great day!!!!

That sounds like your daughter had a fun weekend. My daughter is home today. We had a big snow storm last night so she has a snow day today. I read her your post about your nice neighbor and she said."Mom I wish we had neighbors like that instead of the cat poisoning, dog biting neighbors in this neighborhood, hahahaha!!! (daughter's sarcastic sense of humour) I don't have any idea where she gets it! Anywho...I have an appointment for the thyroid specialist this morning. Hope you all have a great day!

Ridley, you reminded me of my son in his school band. He played the trumpet. I hope your daughter stays with it better than my son did, lol.

Dis, I hope your visit with the doctor goes well.

Enjoy your Monday everyone!

Bro

Hey Dis... what happened with the thyroid specialist?

Hey Bro... as for my daughter keeping with it.. I hope so too!  LOL

Okay not much going on today... just some shopping.  And after I get the kids from school I have to take them to buy their Christmas presents for everyone.  My father takes them every year to recycle cans.  He keeps all his cans for them. If we have any cans we keep them.  And my brothers and mother  keep theirs too.  Then the kids buy Christmas presents for everyone with the money.  My Dad always gives them $20.00 a piece added to whatever they get.  This time they made 37 dollars and when Dad kicked in 40 they had 77 dollars!  My daughter is pretty excited.

My daughter said... Mom... I can shop at Walmart this year instead of the dollar tree... LOL  My son could care less it seems but I think he will have fun once we start picking stuff out.  Anyway I'd better get going.  I hope you have a good one!

Well we're getting freezing rain and sleet here in North Texas. The high today is supposed to be 32, but I think we hit that early this morning. More rain and freezing precipitation through the day and night - tomorrow is going to be nasty. *groan*

Stay warm and safe this week, all of you!

bro

Well...both lumps are benign. The bigger one is soft and hasn't gotten any larger. The Dr asked me about hormone treatment, I said no. I don't really want to take hormones at this point in my life. The thyroid gland controls your metabalism & effects your hormones. My mother was on hormone treatments for years, I don't want to go down that road if I can help it. So it looks like the larger one is a goiter. Doesn't that sound attractive?(hopefully it doesn't get as big as the lady on Seinfeld)Anyway, I've decided to wait and see if it does get larger. If it does, I'll have to have surgery to get it removed. It is still very annoying especially when I lay on my back, but the Dr told me that even if they drained it, more than likely it would fill up again. (sorry for being graffic). So it's a wait & see kind of thing.

We had a funeral to go to on Saturday so our weekend was pretty quiet. I honestly cannot complain about our weather it is like spring again today. Not much more new around these parts. I get to go see yet another specialist on Friday, this one is suppose to be really good. So it's a wait & see kind of thing. Hey!.....how was your weekend eh?
