I couldn't find a Saturday thread so... Here's the latest House news: Our agent called this evening with the news. They didn't accept the first offer but that's no surprise. Their counter offer was really close to our offer so that was very encouraging. In fact their counter offer was lower than my husband's idea of the highest price he would pay for the house. So it's awesome actually. We're already ahead of the game. We are going to counter with an offer that is halfway between our original offer and their counter offer. We'll sign the new papers on Monday. Then I guess we'll know by Wednesday if they accept our counter offer. I have been truly happy for several days. I have begun to feel like the Jen of old days. I have spent too many years in this dark old house. The new place has a lot of natural light. I'm so ready to get out of here. I so hope this works out. |

Wow.... This place is a ghost town Is there anybody there???? I was having 'puter troubles... But its OK now Rid... Are you there??? I hope everythings OK??? Luke and Squeeky how are things going???? Hi all. Today's party day. The house looks great, and all the food that needs to be made at this point is made. I just have to make some dip a little bit before the party and pick up the cake. I think it will be a good day. I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. I will come back and post tonight if I can. |

Hope the party goes great Rid. I had a quiet Saturday, still not feeling 100% but a little better than yesterday. Hubby even cooked me dinner. I seen on the news about all the rain you are getting down dere Ariel, looks like there's alot more coming your way from Ike. Well I got a call Saturday from the Saturday driver at work.......The gentleman that works on Tuesday and Friday's is done.....(I believe he quit).....crap that means I have to work at least 3 to 4 days a week......I really liked it when I first got hired and I only worked 2 days a week......Well at least we will pay down our debt a little faster and may buy ME a brand new FORD!! or GM!!! cuz I don't like Chrysler...hehehehehehehe |

Hey!!! Watch that Chryslers stuff eh!!!!! Why did he quit??? Well Ike blew through between 4:00 this afternoon till about 9:00 when they wind gusts were gone... I didn't expect so much wind!!! We've gotten remnants of hurricanes before but they are usually just alot of rain... But this time their was alot of wind and gusting wind!!! I'd hate to be in an actual hurricane!!!! |

He told the boss that it was because he was getting tired of the driving....which I can see since we drive about 8 hours a day.....but I figure, it because there have been a lot of changes in the way we deliver the RX's....First it was, sign a receipt, that wasn't good enough - now you have to sign a log.....Now, when we have to change shifts with someone, we don't just call one of the other persons you work with to ask, you have to use their computer and change it on the computer.....It all has to do with payroll, that way they don't have to have a payroll clerk anymore......All our hours go to head office....(I can see a lot more people quitting over this)......They make you feel like your stealing from them....crazy |

Well, its that time of year again - holidays, shopping, family gatherings...and colds. and boy do I have a doozey!
Coughing, running nose, watery eyes, sore throat and yes, as if all that wasn't enough, fever too.
At least I still have my sense of humor...though I'm not sure what medicinal value that actually has.
Hope you are all enjoying your weekend more than I am!

 I spent most of today shopping and organizing all my baking supplies for Christmas dinner. Sorry to hear you have a cold Bro. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you in hopes you will feel alot better by Christmas. |

Well i hope you feel better soon Bro... Its the worst time of the year to be sick.... Miss Dis... I was just thinking about my baked good stuff... And i still have to purchase it all lol And Make it!!!! Good thing I'm off work now!!!! My sister and I have to go out tomorrow to pick up a last minute gift... I'll go shop for the stuff then It is really really cold out there tonight... I went to the store today and it was so cold i had to have my hood on to load my groceries in the car Its -17C but the wind chill is making it worse and i'm not sure what the temp is with the wind chill??? Brisk!!!! thats what it is!!! lol |

I went for a walk down to the mall today. It was -23C ,I'm not sure what the wind chill was but I dressed in layers and I did fine. By the time I was done shopping the temperature dropped quite a bit so it was darn cold on the way back. My foot still isn't 100% but it is better today. Hope everyone is having a safe, warm, happy, cheerful, healthy holiday week to come! |

Bro sorry to hear that you are sick Dis and Ariel... I hope your baking goes well. Dis I hope your foot is better soon. I'm staying busy and trying to get it all together before Christmas. I have a lot of baking to do. Thank God all the presents and decorating is done. |
