Trish and Deacon’s night out was going just as perfect as when it started. The couple had headed to a romantic restaurant for a bite to eat and a rare chance at a conversation. Deacon had started it off by bringing up how amazing life was then asked Trish what she first thought of him when she met him. The subject caught Trish off guard. She loved Deacon so much that she had trouble thinking of when they first met. What she told him was that contrary to the rumors that had been circulating around the wrestling industry when he first came into her office she saw a completely different side of him. She saw the sweet and caring side that looked out for her and was there when she needed him. Really that was what attracted her to him. After telling him what she thought, she posed the same question to him. He told her that he thought she was the most beautiful woman in the federation. The comment made Trish melt. It was true she had been a bitch to him at first but time had definitely changed that. As the conversation continued, Deacon mentioned a similar couple. Trish’s best friend Kaylee Adams and Adam Michaels. Opposites just like Trish and Deacon were. He asked her if she thought they’d be a good couple. Trish mulled the question over for a few moments then started to speak. %Trish Stratus Copes% To be honest babe, I hope so. The divorce from Chris has been hard enough on Kaylee without all the shit he’s been pulling on her lately. She needs to have someone there to care for her other than the two of us. %Deacon Havok% You got that right. She’s had her fair share of losers chasing after her it’s time that she finds someone worthwhile. I’m just not sure what I think of the guy. %Trish Stratus Copes% What do you mean? %Deacon Havok% For starters he’s a Michaels and we all know how well they can be trusted. I know Kaylee cares for him and all but I’m just not sure what to think of him. %Trish Stratus Copes% That’s understandable. I’ve had the exact same doubts before but with the way he’s made Kaylee happy I’m being optimistic and hope that he’s changed from how he used to be. So far he seems like he has, which for Kaylee’s sake is great. She deserves to be as happy as we are. %Deacon Havok% That she does babe. Besides her kids need a better father than what they’ve had. %Trish Stratus Copes% Knowing Kaylee like I do, she’ll make sure that Adam is good for the kids. %Deacon Havok% I have no doubts about that. Of course anything’s better than McKenzie. %Trish Stratus Copes% Isn’t that the truth! So what about you, what do you think about the possibility of Kaylee and Adam being as happy as we are? She grabs her diet Dr. Pepper taking a smile sip, gazing across the table at Deacon waiting to see what his opinion was on the current subject.

The Copes�?alone time couldn’t get any better. They had started out going for a bite to eat which they had also used to sit down and talk to one another for more than a few seconds. God did it ever feel good! First they had talked about their first impressions of the other when they met before talking about a couple very much like themselves, Kaylee Adams and Adam Michaels. Next they talked about the rumors floating around the WGEF that Adam’s sister in law, Courtney Helmsley Michaels was making her return. Trish wasn’t the one to pay much attention to the rumors floating around the company but even that one had managed to make it to her ears. Sitting her glass down in front of her, Trish looked over at Deacon starting to speak. %Trish Stratus Copes% I heard she was supposed to be gracing us with her presence again. (She rolls her eyes) You have no idea how excited I am over it. Deacon chuckles. %Deacon Havok% I take it she’s far from your favorite person. %Trish Stratus Copes% That’s a nice way of putting it. Let’s just say that Courtney is a lot like her husband…if you catch my drift. %Deacon Havok% And to think that at one time you were on the same team with her. Her husband too for that matter. %Trish Stratus Copes% It was a surprise wasn’t it? If it wouldn’t have been for us having the same enemy it wouldn’t have happened then either. Courtney and I have never seen eye to eye. %Deacon Havok% With Chris retired and her being all on her own, who knows she might not be as bad as she was before. After all she’s going to need some good allies and who better than one of the two most dominate women in the company? %Trish Stratus Copes% It’d be a cold day in hell before I’d consider aligning with her. %Deacon Havok% That was rash. You haven’t seen her in ages, it’s very a strong possibility that she’s not the same person anymore. Remember how you were when you and I first met, you were far from the nicest person in the world but you eventually softened. %Trish Stratus Copes% Yea well, I don’t see Courtney being the type to suddenly change her mind about people. Especially when she’s been wrong. I’d be like Mc Kenzie suddenly realizing you’re far better than him. %Deacon Havok% Somehow I highly doubt that’s ever going to happen. He’s way to full of himself. %Trish Stratus Copes% You see my point. %Deacon Havok% Okay how about this, what if she’s at least civil. What would you say to that? %Trish Stratus Copes% Courtney and civil don’t belong in the same sentence. The day she acts civil to me or anyone else in this company is the day fish ride bicycles. %Deacon Havok% You really don’t think much about Courtney coming back do you? %Trish Stratus Copes% Considering the history she and I have had over the years would you be? I just have a feeling that she’s going to be a huge pain in my ass. Trish lets out an heavy sigh as she gazes across the table at Deacon, wondering what he would say next.

The Copes�?night out just kept getting better and better. Their stop was to a regular type restaurant for a great dinner and of course some WGEF related conversation. No often than they got the chance to sit down and talk there was always something WGEF related for them to talk about and hey, it helped when either needed to vent frustrations. As they were on their way to the theatre Deacon had asked Trish what she thought of the WGEF switching networks in the very near future. Trish, of course, liked the idea but was also somewhat nervous about it at the same time. The WGEF had been on the MSN network since its creation back in 2003 so her being slightly nervous about its moving was understandable. After sharing her thoughts she asked Deacon for his. He told her it didn’t matter to him where the company was moving to cause he was going to be there no matter what. He then brought up the possibility of Chris McKenzie not sticking with the WGEF when it moved. Trish couldn’t deny the fact that she wouldn’t be upset if he chose not to come. Deacon looked at it as a sign of getting a long overdue title shot. It was no secret to Trish that he badly wanted one. Even without him saying it, she could tell. As Deacon stared out the window Trish reached up lightly touching his face with her hand pulling his face towards her. %Trish Stratus Copes% Trust me babe after you and I steal the show at Civil War there isn’t going to be any denying you what you deserve. How can there be? After we demolish Phoenix and Mari either McKenzie or Dylan isn’t going to have any choice but to see lies in store for them. McKenzie has had his share of easy challenges so it’s more than time that he finally has a real challenge, if Dylan doesn’t do the job. If Dylan actually gets the title, let’s just say that it’s only fitting that his first defense be against someone who will give him a proper challenge. %Deacon Havok% Yea well, I just hope he isn’t another Chris McKenzie and only accept challenges he knows he can win. %Trish Stratus Copes% Even if he is, there’s going to come a day where he won’t have a choice. With the way you’ve been going through the competition that day will be coming very quickly and when that day comes you will finally have the chance to have the title reign that you should have. %Deacon Havok% With McKenzie still riding high on his winning streak I still can’t help but wonder when my time is finally going to come when I can prove to him that he’s not as great as he thinks is. %Trish Stratus Copes% You worry too much, that’s your problem. I know you’ve been wanting to get another chance at the World Title since you were cleared to come back after your neck injury. It’s only the main thing that kept you going during rehab. When it finally is your time to get what it rightfully yours Crystal and I will be there behind you cheering you on just like we always have. I promise. When have I ever let you down? Trish looked up at him giving him a smile hoping that it will reassure him. She didn’t know exactly when he’d finally get his chance at the World Title but after Civil War was said and done it was only a matter of time before it would finally happen. As she continued to gaze into his eyes she stretched up giving him a soft kiss on the lips waiting to see what he would say next.

The Copes night was going perfectly. They had already had a fantastic dinner and were well on their way to the theatre to see a movie which was something they haven’t had the chance to do in ages. Finally having the chance to spend more than a few moments together was something both of them looked forward to. As they headed to the theatre, they talked about the main event for Civil War and how neither of them liked it. Then Deacon asked Trish when he was going to get his shot at McKenzie for the title. Trish, of course agreed that he had more than deserved a shot and in the very near future would be getting what was rightfully his. Happy to see that his wife not only shared the same views as he did but was also behind him, Deacon asked Trish what she planned on doing with the Intercontinental Title. Something Trish had been thinking about for quite some time. She was bored facing loser after loser every month, what she wanted was some real competition. %Trish Stratus Copes% Actually I’ve been thinking about that. Lately I’ve been getting nothing but loser after loser which has gotten boring. And with everyone with talent going after McKenzie for the World Title it hasn’t left me many options.    %Deacon Havok% I take it that you’ve come up with something. %Trish Stratus Copes% Naturally. You remember when Randy came back and was down at the ring bitching about getting a rematch for the TV Title? (Deacon nods) Spear decided to stick his nose in wanting a Pick Your Destiny Match with my Intercontinental Title, the TV Title and the World Title which would have required Kaylee and me to completely redo the card. Since he got told no, he decided he wanted a shot at the Intercontinental Title. Before I could reply SVD came down and ran his mouth about God knows what, so I decided to give them a match against each other. I know SVD is far from the best competition there is but Spear does look to be promising. Who knows I may actually get a decent match out of it. %Deacon Havok% I hope so babe, it’s been awhile since you’ve had anyone that’s given you a real challenge.   %Trish Stratus Copes% I agree with you babe but it’s like you said they’re all afraid to get into the ring with me because they know they don’t have what it takes to beat me. Look at all the ones who have tried and failed. Jeanette Salazaar, Mark Stone, and countless others and every single one of them have lost. Now all the jobbers come up wanting their shot to be the one to take the Intercontinental Title off my shoulder. If Spear and SVD want to be the next one to try, then let them. Depending on which one wins I might get some real competition for once. %Deacon Havok% Between the two of them do you have a preference which one you’d like to face? %Trish Stratus Copes% Well Spear looks to be more competition than SVD will be. Not like that’s going to be hard to do, SVD couldn’t fight his way out of a wet paper bag with a hole in it and an arrow pointing to the hole. %Deacon Havok% That was harsh. %Trish Straus Copes% It may be harsh but the truth isn’t always nice. Not to drastically change topics here but I’ve been thinking, McKenzie did challenge Drew to a match for the World Title at the next pay per view and since Drew’s neck isn’t the best I was wondering it you’ve given any thoughts about getting in on that match? She looks up at Deacon waiting to see what his answer is.

The Copes night out was going along perfectly. Not only did they get a rare chance to enjoy one another’s company but they got the chance to talk about several things that involved both the federation. They talked about everything from the company’s upcoming move to Aimoo to when Deacon would be getting his long overdue title shot. Next they talked about Trish’s upcoming title defense against either Spear or SVD. As Trish gave her opinion on both Spear and SVD, her cell phone started to ring. Pulling the phone out of her purse she saw that she had a text message from Kaylee. She knew that Kaylee had been under a lot of stress lately and figured she was texting her to find out when she would be back…but that wasn’t the case. Kaylee had sent her a text informing her of Chris McKenzie’s departure. It was no secret that Trish did not care for McKenzie one bit, not only for his actions towards certain superstars and the company itself but for how he treated Kaylee. Still hearing the news that he left caught her off guard. So much so that her mouth dropped. %Trish Straus Copes% As much as I would like to say that it is, it’s not. %Deacon Havok% So what’s going to happen now that he’s gone? %Trish Straus Copes% I haven’t the slightest clue. All I know is Kaylee said she had an idea in mind when it came to the title. Of course knowing Kay it could be anything. %Deacon Havok% That’s for sure. I take it Kaylee didn’t give you a hint as to what she had in mind. Trish shook her head. %Trish Straus Copes% Nope, she just said it was something big that would shake the title picture up and weed out the ones that weren’t pulling their weight. %Deacon Havok% As sad as it is that’s pretty much half of roster. %Trish Straus Copes% You’re telling me but she’s right we need to weed out the ones that aren’t pulling their weight and only get off their ass and do anything when they see a title opportunity come up. There is one little trick to it, not only do they have to step up and do something but they have to impress her. %Deacon Havok% Impress her huh? That could be a tough thing to do. Kaylee doesn’t impress very easily like a certain someone else that I know. %Trish Straus Copes% Is that supposed to be some kind of hint that I’m difficult? (He nods) You’re a real shit you know that? Trish lets out a small laugh as she playfully smacks him on the shoulder. %Trish Straus Copes% I happen to enjoy being difficult thank you very much. %Deacon Havok% You don’t have to tell me that. I happen to be fully aware of how difficult you can be when you want to be. I’m far from the only one aware of that fact either.   %Trish Straus Copes% I’m sure not, at least half the fed is well aware of it. You know this could be a very good thing for you. Everyone knows you more than pull your weight around here. You’re pretty much a shoe in for whatever idea Kaylee’s planning. %Deacon Havok% You think so? %Trish Straus Copes% Of course! You’re one of the best talents we have on the roster and I’m not saying that just because I happen to be married to you, it’s true. Even McKenzie knew it. Why do you think he did all he could do to avoid facing you for the title? He knew that you would not only give him the challenge he so desperately needed but you would beat him in the process. This could be the beginning of a long overdue title reign. Trish gazes into his eyes waiting to see what he’s going to say next.
