Serenity Chambers: Tell me something Todd, do I really have a choice in the matter? (Todd starts to speak but Serenity cuts him off) That was rhetorical idiot. Seriously though it’s not like I can actually say no to this interview you want so badly and it just be left at that. You’ll be following me around all day whining about not getting your interview so just save me a day long headache and ask your stupid questions so I get back to what I was doing before you came along.
Todd gives Serenity his usual blank expression, not quite sure how to respond. Finally he shifts his gaze from Serenity over to the cameraman who is getting into position. Once he’s ready he gives Todd the all clear signal. Todd turns back to Serenity raising his mic up to his mouth starting to speak.
Todd Grisham: (Clearing his throat) Ladies and Gentlemen, I am joined by Serenity Chambers who this Friday night will be taking on the current number one contender for the Women’s Title, Kat Sanders. Can you tell me your thoughts going into this match?
Serenity Chambers: How should I feel about it? Scared because she’s got contender’s spot? Big deal. You see Todd I don’t care whether she has a shot at the Women’s Title or whether she’s just some rookie fresh out of wrestling school. She could be the Women’s Champion and it still wouldn’t make a difference to me.
Todd Grisham: While all that may be true Serenity, you’ve got to admit that Kat is going to be a tough opponent. Have you given any thought as to how you’re going to prepare for this match?
Serenity Chambers: Of course I’ve given some thought into it.
Todd Grisham: Exactly what do you have planned against Kat?
Serenity Chambers: Now there’s a brilliant idea. Why don’t I just save you the trouble and go run and tell Kat every single thing I’m going to do before I get the chance to do it?
Todd Grisham: I wouldn’t?
Serenity Chambers: You wouldn’t have to idiot. I’m sure she’s sitting in her locker room watching this very interview waiting to hear what I’ve got in store for her, yet again maybe I’m safe since she already is under the impression that once her and I step into the ring together she’s going to take me out so fast that I won’t know what hit me. I’ve got news for little Miss Sanders; while I haven’t had the most illustrious career here I’m far from inexperienced. I’m more than capable of taking every thing she can dish out and give her more in return.
Todd Grisham: You sound awfully confident that you’ll be able to beat Kat Friday night. Have you given any thought as to the possibility that you won’t be able to get past Kat?
Serenity Chambers: Are you serious with that question? Like I’m going to say that she’s going to win. This is wrestling Todd not Grimm’s Fairytales. If it were I’d tell she was going to win but since it’s not I’m just going to stick to the truth. Why shouldn’t I be confident about myself anyway? Kat has already written me off as a weakling who can’t defend myself.
Todd Grisham: Not to contradict you Serenity, but isn’t that what you’re doing?
Serenity Chambers: Of course not Todd. I’m simply saying that I’m not the blonde bimbo that she thinks I am. You see she’d love more than anything for me to be one so that she can walk into the Continental Airlines Arena, pull off a few clever moves and walk out the victors still fooling those people into thinking she’s something special. Soon she’s going to have to realize that she’s got a real opponent for a change and is going to have actually try some wrestling for a change. Now this little interview of ours is over so if you don’t mind kindly get out of my way.
Without waiting for Todd to give a response Serenity turned around and walked away leaving Todd to stand there watching her walk away. Finally she made it around the corner and out of Todd’s sight. Serenity shook her head trying to get Todd’s ridiculous questions out of her head and put herself in a much better mood. A malicious smile creeps onto her face as she starts back up again heading down the hall. Finally she comes to a stop in front of a large wooden door, just like every other in the arena. She places her hand on the knob twisting it to the right before giving the door a gentle shove, stepping inside the room as the scene ends.
