Frustration. That was the thought running through Trish’s head as she stepped through the thick black curtain at the end of the stage. She let out a loud scream as she made her way down the hall from the Gorilla Position stepping out into the hallway. She thought she had the match against Kat and Lita won but once again it slipped through her fingers. This time, however, it wasn’t because of a poor excuse of a referee. No, this time Kat had the better night and Trish was going to have to accept it. No one said it was going to be easy but it was something she was going to have to do if she wanted to move on and do something with her career. Otherwise she was going to become the washed up has been that Kat accused of her of being three times now. Course she couldn’t stop herself from wondering if she wasn’t screwed out of the win. Really what did she know about Brooke? Not much to be honest. She had met her during a recent promo tour for the WGEF, she seemed nice so Trish gave her a break and offered her a contract. Brooke had never given her reason not to trust her but after recent dealing with former friends Trish wasn’t the most trustworthy now was she?

The scene opens up just after Raw. Trish was making her way through the vacant hallway heading to where one could only guess was her office. She spotted a cart with freshly laundered towels draped over the sides a short distance down the hall. Trish headed in the direction of the cart grabbing one of the towels off the side. She takes a quick swipe across her face before draping it across the back of her neck. She starts back down the hall when she hears a familiar voice calling her name. Knowing just who’s voice it was Trish stopped and rolled her eyes. As she turned around she saw Todd Grisham running up behind her with a microphone in his hand.

Todd Grisham: Excuse me Trish, I was hoping to get ask you a few questions regarding your match on Smackdown! Sunday night.

Trish Stratus Jericho: (letting out an irritated sigh) Very well Todd. Ask your stupid questions so I can get to my office and get out of these sweaty clothes.

Not wasting a beat Todd raised his microphone up to his lips and started to speak.

Todd Grisham: My guest at this time is none other than Raw General Manager and WGEF Co-Owner Trish Stratus Jericho. (Todd turns to Trish) Now Trish you’ve just come off another devastating loss to Kat Sanders, where the referee was the very woman that you’ll be facing on Smackdown!. Can you tell us your thoughts on that?

Trish Stratus Jericho: What’s there to say that you don’t already know Todd? Brooke was the special guest referee in the triple threat match on Raw and now my opponent for Smackdown.

Todd Grisham: Well rumors running around the arena is that she’s your friend. Is stepping into the ring with her going to be awkward for you in any way?

Trish Stratus Jericho: Do you have a book filled with stupid questions for every situation known to this business?

Todd goes to answer the question but Trish cuts him off.

Trish Stratus Jericho: That was rhetorical dumbass. Now to answer your pathetic question, Brooke and I aren’t exactly friends…yet. I
haven’t known her long enough to consider her a friend just yet, an ally yes but for me that’s as far as it goes. Now as far as it being awkward to step into the ring with her, whether I’m friends with her or whether I’m not this is business pure and simple.

Todd Grisham: As I mentioned earlier, you suffered a great loss at the hand of Kat Sanders where Brooke was the referee. Do you blame her in any way for your losing?

Trish Stratus Jericho: Of course not. We may not be the best of buddies but I do trust her enough to believe that she called the match straight down the line.

Todd Grisham: As of late your record has been fairly steady, what do you think your chances of coming out of this match with a victory are?

Trish Stratus Jericho: Are you kidding? I’m one of the premiere divas this company has to offer where as Brooke is still a rookie. Take a look at her last match Todd. She faced Kaylee last week on Smackdown! and look what happened…she lost. Not to put her down or anything but I think that speaks for itself. Brooke’s still got a lot to learn and she’ll d plenty of that Sunday night against yours truly.

Todd Grisham: One more question Trish. Say you do beat Brooke Sunday night, how do you think that will change your relationship with Brooke?

Trish Stratus Jericho: On my end it won’t change anything. No matter what happens in that ring I’ll still hold the same amount of respect for her that I have right now. That is unless she gives me a reason not to and to be honest Todd I can’t see her being that stupid. Brooke strikes me more of the kind that’s straight forward yet time will tell now won’t it. Now if you don’t mind I have much more pressing to do.
