OCC: This is just to bump up the thread
Next Match: on SummerSlam with Lita vs. Courtney and Kat

The scene opened in the living room of the Jericho’s mansion. It was mid afternoon and Trish was seated on the couch going over some contract Kaylee sent to her while her daughter Crystal played with her toys on the floor in front of her. Trish picked up a small stack of papers flipping through to very last page as she carefully read every word. Once she was satisfied she picked up her pen from the coffee table and signed her name underneath Kaylee’s. She laid them on the opposite end of the couch then reached over beside her knee grabbing another bunch when her cell phone rang. Dropping the papers back down, she grabbed her RAZR off the arm of the couch pulling it from its case. She looked at the caller id screen she saw her assistant Karen’s number. She flipped the phone open, holding up to her ear as she started to speak.

Trish Stratus Jericho: This better be good Karen, I have a half a ton of contracts to go over.

Karen: I just wanted to make sure you knew you had a match on Smackdown.

Trish raised an eyebrow in curiosity. She hadn’t heard she had match as of yet but now that she had her interest was certainly peaked.

Trish Stratus Jericho: A match huh? Dare I venture to ask just who I have?

Karen: Blair Brooks.

Trish couldn’t help but snicker as Blair’s name came out of Karen’s mouth.

Trish Stratus Jericho: Are you putting me on?

Karen: Sorry but no. You want me to look up anything on her?

Trish Stratus Jericho: Don’t bother; it’ll be nothing more than a waste of your time. Blair’s more of a, how shall I put this, a reject. She couldn’t fight her way out of a wet paper bag if it had a hole in it.

Karen: I don’t know Trish. I wouldn’t write her off so quickly, for all you know she could actually be good.

Trish laughed.

Trish Stratus Jericho: Blair Brooks? Be good? You really should be a comedian Karen.

Karen: Hey I said good not great.

Trish Stratus Jericho: Blair couldn’t be good if her life depended on it. She’d had one match since she decided to come back and it was against Jess Batista. I guess Dave got al the talent in that family.

Karen: That was cold.

Trish Stratus Jericho: Hey I call em like I see em. Jess wasn’t exactly the beast we have to offer so it stands to reason why Blair beat her so easily. When you face someone who has absolutely no talent it’s easy for someone of little talent to get a victory.

Karen: I know you know what you’re talking about here but are you sure that Brooke’s not even the slightest bit better than you’re giving her credit for. After all you said it yourself that she’s only had one opponent who wasn’t that good, it stands to reason that she’s not going to give it her all.

Trish Stratus Jericho: I don’t know Karen. I watched Blair’s match and it was far from the best. Crystal could beat her if she tried, that’s how bad it was. Besides she’s to preoccupied with this crap about JBT taking over the company again.

Karen: And you talk about me being a comedian.

Trish Stratus Jericho: Hey I wasn’t the one that assumed that Blair had talent; all I said is the crap she’s been spewing around the company since she came back. You know what’s sad about it?

Karen: What?

Trish Stratus Jericho: She actually believes it. Her supposed boyfriend and his friend have yet to show their faces around here, in what, forever?

Karen: Sounds about right?

Trish Stratus Jericho: Just my point. She plans on taking the company by storm as she puts it and yet she’s all alone. Kind of sad actually.

Trish winks letting out a small giggle at the same time.

Karen: Is this Trish I’m talking to or some goody two shoes impersonating her?

Trish Stratus Jericho: Relax Karen, it’s me. I’m just saying it’s sad that not even her own teammates believe this idea is going to fly. Come to think of it I doubt she believes it herself.

Karen: Now what brought that on?

Trish Stratus Jericho: Think about it Karen, if she believed it herself then she would actually be doing something with her career instead of sitting around waiting for it to fall in her lap.

Karen: True but you can’t go into this match with this I’ve already gotten her beaten attitude.

Trish Stratus Jericho: If it was someone like Kat or Sharmaine, I would say you have a point there but this is Brooke. She’s nowhere in the league that I’m in.

Karen: I know, believe me. I’m just saying that you have to go in there expecting anything. You have to have some sort of plan regardless how bad she is.

Trish Stratus Jericho: Oh don’t worry, I do. When have you ever known me not to have a plan in mind when it comes to a match?

Karen: You got me…never.

Trish Stratus Jericho: That’s more like it. Should the chance arise that Blair actually knows more about wrestling than how to put on a pair of boots and walk her skanky ass down to the ring I’ll be ready for her. Not that I’m expecting it but hey it never hurts to dream and if I want any shot at competition in this match I’m going to have to do a lot of that it seems.

Karen: What’s that supposed to mean?

Trish Stratus Jericho: Oh come on Karen, face it she’s not exactly the most frequent around the arena. The last time she hauled her ass down to that ring is when she entered the fatal fourway at Summer Slam. Looking at how often she chooses to show her face. I just hope she decides to show her face Friday night or I’m going to be in for one boring night.

Karen: At least you won’t have to mess with her.

Trish Stratus Jericho: While not having to deal with trash is always a highlight I don’t have much choice in the matter considering the business I’m in. I just hope little Miss Brooks doesn’t have her heart to set on wining cause I would certainly hate to damage her hopes already.

Karen: Who are you trying to fool?

Trish Stratus Jericho: Hey I gave a stab at pretending to give a shit.

Trish looked over at Crystal who had fallen asleep on the floor next to her toys.

Trish Stratus Jericho: Listen Karen I’m going to have to go. Crystal has fallen asleep so I’m going to lay her down for her nap and get to work on these contracts, catch you later?

Karen: Fax them to me when you’re done and I’ll see that Kaylee gets them.

Trish Stratus Jericho: I don’t know what I’d do without you.

Trish says her goodbyes then flips her phone closed, tossing it beside her on the couch. She scoots to the front of the couch then pulling herself to a standing position. She walks over to where Crystal was laying. She scoops her daughter into her arms, draping her over her shoulder as she steps out of the room. She starts up the stairs as the scene fades to black.
