OCC: Good Luck

The scene opened in the office/locker room belonging to WGEF Co-Owner, Trish Stratus Jericho. Trish is sitting in the plush leather seat behind her desk with a piping hot cup of coffee sitting in front of her. Her body was firmly against the back of the chair with her eyes locked dead ahead as if she was trance. Actually she was numb. Numb because her best friend Kaylee might leave the company she helped build over an argument with a friend regarding her World Title and No Mercy. She was in such shock over it all that she was unaware that the door to her office had opened and her assistant Karen had made her way inside. Karen walked across the room coming to a stop in front of the desk. She leaned against the edge of the desk looking across at Trish for a few seconds before snapping her fingers in Trish’s face. Trish bats her eyes and shakes her head as she comes out of her trance.

Karen: Finally decided to come back to earth did you?

Trish Stratus Jericho: Funny Karen. If you had just heard what I did, you’d be in the same position.

Karen: Yes, but you’ve got a match this Tuesday that you need to be thinking about.

Trish Stratus Jericho: I know you’re right but I can’t help it. Kaylee is my best friend and for her to leave over something that can be settled I can’t help but keep thinking about it. I tell ya Karen I don’t know what I’d do around here without Kaylee.

Karen: You’ll be fine. You went through all the WWE without her and did fine, now won’t be any different.

Trish Stratus Jericho: I know that. I’m talking about having someone to keep me sane.

Karen: Let’s worry about that later and focus on your match against Kasey Winterborn.

Trish Stratus Jericho: Very well, by that comment I take it you’ve done some digging on her?

Karen: Unfortunately she hasn’t done much to really dig anything up.

Trish Stratus Jericho: Doesn’t make much difference really. She’s still new yet and you and I both know how they are. It’s the same story with every one. Either they’re the best thing to ever step foot in this company or they’re going to be the next champ.

Karen: I don’t know Trish, I think she has more to prove than that. After all she lost to Summer Fox last week on Smackdown.

Trish Stratus Jericho: I heard about that. (Trish laughs) I heard that she was walking around here the other day all depressed about losing to Summer and yet she thinks that she of all people is going to give me a run for my money. She can’t manage to beat Summer and she thinks she’s capable of giving me a run for anything.

Karen: Quite an over active imagination doesn’t she?

Trish snickers.

Trish Stratus Jericho: That she has. I tell ya Karen I really think we need to start doing psyche evaluations on all new hires. As nutty as this girl is I’m not sure I want to step in the ring with her. Don’t get me wrong it’s not that I actually think she’ll beat me it’s that I’m a little leery of stepping into the ring with someone who’s not playing with a full deck. I know injuries are a natural part of the business but just thinking about what could happen stepping into the ring with someone that loony would un-nerve anyone.

Karen: I’m sure there are a lot of people who would agree with you there.

Trish Stratus Jericho: I’m sure there are, unfortunately the only other one that would know is Summer Fox.

Karen: Given her current mood it shouldn’t be too bad.

Trish Stratus Jericho: Judging by the promos she gave for Smackdown beating her is going to be rather easy. Call me crazy, on one hand I feel sorry for the girl. Here she’s only had one match that she actually one and her opponent didn’t even show up.

Karen: And on the other?

Trish Stratus Jericho: And on the other I’m looking forward to tossing the rest of her week right down the drain.

Karen: You really are looking forward to this aren’t you?

Trish Stratus Jericho: Of course. Yes I like a challenge but occasionally the easy matches are always welcomed.

Karen: I wish I could give you something to work with but unfortunately there’s not much I could get. The only thing I got from her match against Summer is that she’s obsessed with age.

Trish rolls her eyes.

Trish Stratus Jericho: Not another one of those. Let me guess, because she’s younger that means she means she’s so much better than me?

Karen: I’m not entirely sure but that was the impression that I got.

Trish Stratus Jericho: It figures. I’m sure I’ll be hearing that left and right once she decides to do another promo against me. I can hear it now? She’ll say how I’m getting older and that I need to retire. Like I haven’t heard that before. I’ll give her credit, it’s a change of pace from the usual slut comment.

As Trish finishes her sentence her eyes glance down at her watch. Seeing that she was scheduled for an interview with Jonathan Coachman in a few moments she couldn’t help but let out an irritated groan.

Karen: Something wrong?

Trish Stratus Jericho: I’ve got an interview with Coach in a few minutes so I guess I better be heading over there before he comes looking for me and I never get a moments peace. Do me a favor and if Chris comes with Crystal tell him that I’m stuck in an interview and I’ll be back in a few minutes.

Karen: Not a problem.

Trish flashes her a friendly smile, reserved for those she cared for. She makes her way across the room over to the door. Grabbing the door knob she twists it slightly to the left and pulls the door towards her. She steps out in the hallway heading in the direction where her interview was supposed to take place  as the scene fades.
