The scene opens up in the parking lot of the Kansas Expo Center which will be hosting this week's WGEF Smackdown. As the sun starts to set alongside the arena a cool breeze fills the sky offering a token of relief to the thousands of fans waiting outside. The camera pans the parking lot and a bar comes across the bottom of the screen announcing they are indeed in Topeka, Kansas. Seeing the camera filming them the crowd lets out a massive cheer showing that they are ready to go inside. As the camera continues to pan the crowd a long white stretch limo pulls alongside the front doors. The limo comes to a stop and the driver gets out, dressed in his usual black formal suit with white dress shirt, and then walks around to the back doors. He opens the rear door and one of the people slides out, stepping straight into the camera's view. It's Chris Jericho the husband of Raw General Manager Trish Stratus- Jericho, who joins him seconds later. The crowd gives out its friendly welcome for the Queen of Stratusfaction. That being the usual slut chant accompanied by a round of boos. Trish can hear their reaction and scowl as she looks around at all of them. The crowd goes nuts at seeing two of the biggest stars in the company before having been seated. Security manages to hold every single fan back giving both Trish and Chris ample room to step away from the limo. As they do the driver closes the door behind them. He then walks around to the rear of the limo to retrieve both Trish and Chris's bags. When he reaches the rear of the limo he opens the trunk and gets out both of the couples bags. Moments later he closes the trunk then walks back around to the back door. He comes up behind Trish; Chris stretches around her for the bags and flings them on his shoulders. After Chris takes the bags the driver walks back around the limo heading towards the driver's door. Trish and Chris stand there for a few seconds before making their way to the arena. Chris pauses to adjust the bags on his shoulders then slips his hand around Trish's left hand. Trish leans her head against his shoulder with a warm smile on her face. As they continue towards the arena one of the make fans pushes his way past security racing towards Trish and Chris. Once he reaches them he holds out an autograph book and pen. Trish shoots him an evil glare then shoves him away. The young man stumbles back before falling on his ass. Both Trish and Chris burst out in laughter at the young man's expense before continuing to the arena. As they reach the double doors the security guards hold the doors open allowing them to walk inside. They walk into the hall still hand in hand through a second batch of security guards. After getting past them they continue down the hall in search of a place where they can get a few moments of peace. They walk around the bend in the hall noticing the peaceful silence and walk over towards the wall. Chris sits the bags down on the floor then looks up at Trish who has a concerned expression on her face.

Trish Stratus Jericho: If those bags are too heavy to carry I am capable of carrying my own bag ya know?

Chris Jericho: Relax babe these bags aren't as heavy as they seem to be. I just needed to stop for a few seconds and get them readjusted.

Trish Stratus Jericho: If you ask me they look a little heavy but it’s your shoulder that has to carry it.

Chris Jericho: Don’t you have more to be concerned about other than a couple of bags being too heavy to carry? After all you’re got your tag team match with Angle against Chris and Courtney Friday night to worry about.

Trish Stratus Jericho: Ugh don’t remind me. Dealing with Chris’s mouth on every so often is bad enough but having to hear it every day for the next three is something I ‘d rather not think about for awhile.

Chris Jericho: You’re going to have to at some point. Lord knows Chris Michaels isn’t going to waste any time finding something sarcastic to say about you.

Trish rolls her eyes knowing what sorts of things could come out of his mouth which was something she has had plenty of experience with in the many dealings she’s had with the most arrogant superstar in the company.

Trish Stratus Jericho: Oh yes I can hardly wait to hear about how I’m old and my hair is bleached.

Chris Jericho: So sure he’s going to say those are ya?

Trish Stratus Jericho: If you had dealt with him as much as I have and had to hear the same things over and over again you’d know what he was going to say before it came out of his mouth too.

Chris Jericho: Don’t forget about Courtney.

Trish Stratus Jericho: I haven’t forgotten about her. I’m as certain as I am standing here that she’s going to be saying something about me. Granted it won’t be anything like what Chris will say but it will be something. Anyway before I can even worry about that I have a mound of paperwork to do before I even think of doing anything relating to the match.

Chris bends down and picks both of the bags up from the floor. He flings them back on his shoulders then follows Trish down the hall as she heads in the direction of her office. They pass a lengthy hall that contains the majority of the locker rooms belonging to the wrestlers. A small group of them is gathered beside a coffee table getting a cup of coffee and stopping to catch up with close friends. Just past the crowd she sees Courtney all by herself leaning against the wall sipping on what appeared to be a cup of coffee. Trish let out an irritated groan as she started down the hall. She knew that Courtney would say something the second she came into view and as much as she was dreading it she knew there was no way around it. She kept her eyes looking forward and walked right passed them. As she stepped in front of Courtney she reached out and grabbed Trish by the arm, preventing her from walking the rest of the way past her. The two stand face to face shooting each other the same cold glare. Trish tries to pull her arm out of Courtney’s grasp but she tightens the hold.

Courtney Helmsley Michaels: I hope you and Kurt aren’t to dead set on winning Friday night.

Trish scrunches up her nose as she narrows her eyes giving Courtney a look that simply says drop dead. Courtney tries to fight back the laughter but it soon escaped through her lips.

Courtney Helmsley Michaels: Oh my god you really did! That’s just to funny. I’m sorry to cut your dreams short here Trishy, but?

Trish Stratus Jericho: Cut the crap Courtney. I have much better things to do than stand here and hear once again how much better you and your husband are than everyone else. Save your breath cause I’ve heard it all before.

Courtney Helmsley Michaels: I’m proud of you Trish; you’ve finally been paying attention to things around here.

Trish Stratus Jericho: Like it’s some big secret. You think you’re going to win…kudos to you on that. Now as far as you cutting my dreams short, honey don’t flatter yourself. As much as I’d enjoy knocking you on your ass and crushing your dream of getting the Intercontinental Championship back I’m far away from dreaming about it. While it would most likely be the best dream I’ve ever had I’m sorry to burst your bubble there but it’s not mine. Judging by the fact that you felt the need to grab a hold of me and force me to stand here and once again listen to how great you think you are, I take it you’ve spent hours thinking that it’s going to do some good. I applaud you on the effort Court, I really do. I’m glad to see that you’ve finally found something that makes you feel like you’re doing something. Now if you don’t mind I have better things to do than stand here and have a battle of wits with you.

Without giving Courtney the chance to reply Trish rips her arm out of Courtney’s grip and storms down the hall after Chris is already halfway down the hall. Trish quickens her pace turning it into a slow run eventually catching up with him as he reaches her office door. She pulls her key ring from the pocket of her faded jeans searching for the right key. After flipping through every key on her key ring she finally comes across it and sticks it into the lock. There's a loud snap sound as the lock flips over. Trish pulls the key out of the lock and shoves it back in her pocket. Once the key is snuggly back in place she reaches forward and opens the door for Chris who looks like he could drop the bags at any minute. Once inside Chris drops the bags over by the couch and plops down on the soft suede cushions letting out a sigh of relief. Trish looked over at him and giggled before continuing onto her desk. She pulled out her leather chair and took a seat still laughing at Chris's outburst.

Chris: What's so funny?

Trish: You and your sigh. I told you if those were to heavy I could carry my own bag.

Chris: I didn't say they were to heavy I was just glad I could sit them down. Why don't you get started on all that paperwork that you were whining about and leave me be?

Trish: Wah wah wah, alright ya big baby I'll leave you be and do some grown up work.

Trish turns her attention away from Chris focusing on the paperwork piled on the corner of her desk. In the meantime Chris reaches into the trash can for something to toss at her. He fumbles through for a few minutes pulling up a crumpled up piece of paper that Trish threw in there the other day. He positions the ball towards the side of her head then tosses it over at her. The ball flies across the room and hits Trish square in the side of the head, startling her. Trish gasps and leaps out of her seat trying to figure out what it was that hit her in the head. She looks down and sees the crumpled up piece of paper that Chris tossed over at her. She can hear Chris laughing at her from his seat on the couch. Trish reaches down and picks the piece of paper up from the floor and tosses it back at Chris watching as it hits him in the forehead. Chris grabs the piece of paper from the floor in front of him and makes a move like he's going to toss it back at her. Trish grabs a scrap piece of paper from her desk crumples it up and goes to throw it at him when a loud knock comes from her office door. A disgusted look comes over Trish's face as she lays the piece of paper on the top of her desk and turns her attention towards the door. With a disgusted tone in her voice she calls for whoever is out there to come in. The door slowly opens and a pair of legs are seen coming into the room. As the camera in the room gets into position it slowly moves up the person's legs revealing the person to be none other than Trish’s partner for Smackdown Kurt Angle. Kurt steps inside the room giving the door a soft shove as he steps further inside the room. Kurt makes his way across the room stopping directly in front of Chris, shooting him a look that tells him to leave the room. Taking his cue Chris pulls himself off the couch. He walks over to Trish’s desk giving her a quick kiss on the cheek before heading back across the room.  Satisfied that he and Trish are alone Kurt walks the rest of the way across the room over to Trish’s desk. He grabs the chair directly in front of her, pulling it out a few inches then taking a seat. Trish shoots him a cold glare signaling that she never told him it was okay for him to sit there. Kurt leans back in the chair giving her his usual cocky grin.

Kurt Angle: So, partner are you ready for our tag match Friday night?

Trish Stratus Jericho: Hold up a second there Kurt. What’s with this partner business all of a sudden? You act like we’re the best of buddies when you and I both know that’s far from the case. Up until you came out during my challenge and gave one of your own we had never so much as said a word to the other.

Kurt Angle: Come on Trish, look at it this way?you despise Chris and Courtney and so do I. Don’t you think it’s only natural that we team up?

Trish Stratus Jericho: If you just go by that then yes but face it Kurt you’re not exactly the most trustworthy person around here. I’m not about to lay every once of faith I have in someone I don’t trust especially when Chris and Courtney are on the opposite side of the ring.

Kurt Angle: I’m fully aware of my reputation Trish but you’ve got to admit you really have no choice in the matter.

Trish Stratus Jericho: For once you’ve actually made a good point. I don’t have a choice in the matter. I have to go into a match with someone I’m not sure what their motive is against two people that I despise more than anything in the world. So for the sake of my sanity I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt.

Kurt Angle: Understood.

Trish Stratus Jericho: It damn well better be.

Kurt looks across the desk at Trish, noticing the obvious hostile look in her eyes. He leaned forward in his chair resting his elbows on the corner of the desk.

Kurt Angle: Something wrong?

Trish pushes her elbows off the edge of the desk leaning her small frame against the back of the chair. The angered expression on her face softens as she starts to speak.

Trish Stratus Jericho: Nothing more than my usual pain in the ass’s usual comments. The more that man opens his mouth the more the same shit comes from it. Every single time he comes anywhere near me it’s the same thing, how I’ve slept with every man that comes around and have all these STD’s.

Kurt Angle: You better watch saying that or you’re going to be hear more of it than you already have.

Trish rolls her eyes.

Trish Stratus Jericho: The only way he could do that is to follow me around all day. Trust me I know he gets his kicks irritating the hell out of me but I can’t see him ever being so bored that he’d want to follow me around for a single day and insult me. That’d take a great deal of effort on his part and Chris is far from being that energetic.

Kurt Angle: Or so you hope. Call me crazy Trish, if he actually catches on to that would drive you completely crazy he’d do it.

Trish Stratus Jericho: Nothing would surprise me out of him. Nothing at all. Chris passing up the chance to tell me how great he is and throw his victory over me in my face yet again would be like a fish out of water. The man lives for the soul purpose of getting under my skin.

Kurt Angle: So I’ve noticed. Of course you more than return the favor.

Trish Stratus Jericho: Of course. I’m about to just sit there and let him piss with me and not give him anything back in return. Besides I’ve gotten have my fun too and I’ll definitely be having that tomorrow night.

Kurt smirks.

Kurt Angle: I take it you’re more after Chris over Courtney. That’s surprising really, I figured since Courtney brought up the idea about going for my Intercontinental Title that you’d be more after her than anything.

Trish Stratus Jericho: Yes but Courtney isn’t the most involved in this match at the moment and Chris is. He becomes the biggest pain in my ass and he’s going to be the center of my attention. Simple as that. Judging by Courtney’s lack of involvement I take that as she doesn’t really want “her?title back as much as she says she does. And if that’s the case then I have no problem taking the shot for myself.

Kurt’s eyes widen as if he thought he had Trish in his corner. She narrowed her eyes as she gazed across the desk at him.

Trish Stratus Jericho: Before you go getting your panties all in a wad, don’t worry until we beat Mr. and Mrs. Michaels then I’ll be sweet and usual self.

Before Trish could say anymore there came a somewhat loud knock on her door. She rolled her eyes as she shifted her gaze over towards the door. In an irritated tone she called for whoever was out there to come in. No sooner had she finished speaking the door slowly pushes inward. As it does WGEF interviewer Todd Grisham steps inside the room complete with a microphone in hand and a camera man behind him. With him not even saying a word Trish knew exactly what he was after. She shot Kurt a pleading look that said ‘don’t leave me alone with this idiot?but it was too late. Kurt was already up and halfway to the door. Trish let out a heavy sigh as she motioned for Todd to have a seat in the chair Kurt was sitting in. As he took a seat the cameraman positioned himself off to the side of the desk, making sure to get both Todd and Trish into view.

Todd Grisham: Excuse me Trish; I was hoping that I could ask you a few questions about your tag team match tomorrow night.

Trish rolls her eyes showing Todd she was extremely annoyed, she held her hand out giving him the signal to go ahead. Todd turns towards the cameraman giving him the signal to start filming. He turns back around towards Trish and starts to speak.

Todd Grisham: First of all Trish, tomorrow night you team up with the Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle. A man you have never teamed with in the past not to mention you haven’t had any contact with him before he answered your challenge last week. Do you think you’ll be able to co-exist?

Trish Stratus Jericho: Well that all depends Todd on Kurt’s actions. I wouldn’t classify Kurt on my list of friends around mainly because up until now I’ve never dealt with him, but as long as he’s got my back and not out to screw me over then I have no problem co-existing with him in any way.

Todd Grisham: Just the other day you and Kurt had what some would call a rather unusual encounter with Chris Michaels which was somewhat related to the old Batman TV series. In that encounter he made the remarks about your past relationships and your looks also citing that you and Kurt would indeed lose tomorrow because if you and your husband couldn’t beat him and Courtney how did you expect to beat them with Kurt as a partner. How do you respond to that?

Trish Stratus Jericho: Well Todd, my first response would be to say that Chris is full of shit but I’m sure you already know that. As you already stated before that Kurt and I have never worked together much less had any interaction at all. Of course Chris is going to say we’re going to lose because we don’t know each other like that the back of our hand like he and Courtney do. The thing Chris fails to realize here is that while Kurt and I don’t know each other all that well, we have seen each other matches in the past and know what the other can do. Just look at us Todd, I’m a five time Women’s Champion here in the WGEF, a 1 time Tag Team Champion, not to mention help keep this company, as for Kurt he’s got quite a list of achievements himself. (Todd looks at Trish confused) Now Todd I thought you had a little bit more brain power than Maria but since you obviously don’t (Todd gets offended)  I’ll elaborate, I mean explain. Kurt and I are quite accomplished wrestlers and even though we don’t normally team together we’re more than capable of working together for one evening and defeat the so called “Golden Couple?

Todd Grisham: The other day I was able to speak with Chris Michaels about a variety of topics, one of them being your match on Smackdown. The one question I asked referred to why he was in the match and he stated that Kurt had asked for the match because he thought you and he would make a great team to take on Chris and Courtney. Is that true?

Trish Stratus Jericho: You’d have to ask Kurt why he wanted the match because I haven’t the faintest idea. All I know is that last week I issued an open challenge to anyone in the back to give me something to do. Kurt came down to the ring and instead of accepting my challenge he issued another one, that being me in a steel cage match against whoever accepted my challenge with the winner facing him at Survivor Series for an Intercontinental Title shot. Coincidentally Courtney decided that she wanted another shot at holding the title and made a challenge to Kurt of her own and the next thing I know he’s got me and him teaming together to take on Chris and Courtney. Now if he came up with the match as a way of going after the two of them I can’t answer that for you.

Todd Grisham: Let’s talk about the Intercontinental Title shot for a bit if we may. You said that if you and Kurt win you get the shot but if Courtney and Chris win, Courtney gets the shot. (Trish nods) Will you be more focused on getting the shot or finally getting a win over the self proclaimed King and Queen of the WGEF?

Trish Stratus Jericho: God Todd, you act more and more like Maria every day.  Of course I’m going to be focusing my attention on getting the title shot. Getting the victory over Chris and Courtney will just be a huge bonus. You see Todd Courtney wants nothing more than to once again become the champion and regain the career she once had. Why do you think she made this match in the first place? It’s been her dream since the day she lost it and I would love for nothing more than to crush that dream and take the one thing that makes her feel important. In fact what I want is for her to be the one that I pin when I win the match. That would make my victory that much sweeter, to snatch her hopes of becoming the next Intercontinental Champion right from her very hands.

Todd Grisham:  Well in Chris’s explanation of why he was in the match he said that you were over the hill and in fact you used to dye your hair blonde to get rid of the brunette but now you dye it to cover up the grey. He even went as far as to say that if you took your age and combined it with Kurt’s that it would be a total of 70 and his and Courtney’s would be 53. What do you have to say to that?

Trish Stratus Jericho: First Todd I would love to congratulate you on not only using big words but one being able to do math. As for what Chris had to say, if you pay attention to what he says it’s always the same thing especially when it comes to me. Not that very many people around here do but if you were to be bored enough to, you’d pick it up rather quickly. You see Todd Chris knows I’m a force to be reckoned with in this company. Sure he doesn’t like it and covers it up with how I can’t touch him because he’s so indispensable to the company and how Courtney’s now running Smackdown, but he still knows it. He says that I’m old because he thinks that to be anything in this business you have to be under a certain age.

Todd Grisham: He did say that you would say the age difference is because of experience but in reality you’re slowing down and he and Courtney are at the top of their game. Is that true, are you slowing down?

Trish Stratus Jericho: Me, slowing down? Are you crazy? The only way I’m slowing is by lack of competition not because of my age. If you take a look at the women in this company you would see why. Most of them spend way too much time flat on their back with their legs spread like the whores they are getting knocked up left and right. Which doesn’t leave much for those of us who are to wrestle much to do. But you won’t see the great Chris Michaels admit that for a single second. And why is that? Because it wouldn’t make him look like the best thing to lace up a pair of boots.

Todd Grisham: Ever since this match was announced it’s been between you and Chris Michaels with neither Courtney nor Kurt even being seen around the arena. With this match being Kurt’s idea do you have any doubts as to whether he’ll show up?

Trish Stratus Jericho: No Todd I don’t. (Todd looks bewildered) I don’t care because I’ve been in this situation before, one on one with the great Chris Michaels and managed to get a draw. Of course Chris will be the first to tell you that it wasn’t a win and he’d be right it wasn’t. In fact I’ve been against him twice and have yet to be able to pin him. So you see I am fully capable of handling myself against him. If Kurt happens to show up, fantastic. Course if Courtney makes an appearance it would be appreciated.

Todd Grisham: Given the fact that so far this match has just been between you and the World Champion, that leaves millions of people in doubt as to what will happen at the end. Can you tell us what is going to happen?

Trish Stratus Jericho: That’s a very interesting point Todd. If I win, I will naturally still get my shot at Kurt Angle in a steel cage match at Survivor Series. Now if by some chance Chris manages to get a victory well that’s the end of the story since he wasn’t going for an Intercontinental Title shot. It’s going to be a shame for me not to take that shot out of Courtney’s hands but hey if that’s what happens then I’ll just have to live with it.

Todd Grisham: I know that you and he have given your share of insults towards each other over the last couple years but all the insults aside you've got to admit Chris Michaels is one hell of an athlete. He's held the undisputed title for the better part of a year, defeating some of the most accomplished superstars the WGEF has ever seen. While you've got an incredible career of your own this will be the toughest challenge of your career. Exactly how are you preparing for a match of this magnitude?

Trish Stratus Jericho: That a very good question Todd. How does one prepare for someone like Chris Michaels? The answer is simple whatever Chris gives me I will be ready for it plain and simple.

Todd Grisham: That’s all well and good Trish but going into a match like this takes a great deal of preparation, since you could be going at it alone or in a handicap match. Do you have anything special planned on how to get through it?

Trish Stratus Jericho: Like I am going to seriously stand here and tell you everything I have planned. If I was even close to being that stupid I might as well run right down to his locker room and tell him myself so he knows exactly what to expect because the first chance you get you’ll be right back down there telling him.

Todd Grisham: No, I…?/FONT>

Trish Stratus Jericho: It’s such a shame we won’t find out will we? Because I’m never going to tell you. Sorry to say there Todd but you, Chris, Courtney and everyone else are just going to have to find out tomorrow night.

Todd called for the camerman to cut, ending the scene.
