The scene reopens an hour later just outside of a large slate gray building and as it does a black stretch limo pulling into the parking lot coming to a stop in front of the main entrance doors. As the engine goes quiet the left front door opens and a middle aged man dressed in a plain black suit with a white dress shirt steps out. He walks around to the back pulling the door open. As Trish slides out we can see that she is dressed quite casually in a pair of faded blue jeans and her Legion of Havok T-Shirt. Her long blonde hair hung loosely down her neck coming to a stop just below her shoulders. She turned towards the driver giving him a polite smile thanking him for his help. As she steps up on the sidewalk the security guard at the door pulls the door open. Trish gives him a small wave and continues inside. She scans the lobby looking for the reception desk finally finding it on the far side of the room. She makes her way across the near vacant lobby to the desk. When she reaches the desk she sees the receptionist is on the phone, she leans across the desk trying her best to be patient for her to finish the call. A few moments pass and the receptionist finishes her call. She places the receiver back on the hook before looking at Trish with a half smile on her face.
%Receptionist%
Is there something I can help you with?
%Trish Stratus Copes%
I’m here to see a Mr. Winters about a family tree that I had worked up.
%Receptionist%
Those are all done over our website ma’am.
%Trish Stratus Copes%
I’m aware but I’m a busy woman and don’t have the time to spend in front of a computer. I contacted who I’m guessing is your boss and he said he could help me.
%Receptionist%
Okay, let me buzz him and check.
She grabs the phone from the right hand side of the desk pressing a single button as she raised the receiver towards her ear. Trish turned her attention to the pictures hanging on the desk pretending to be interested while the receptionist confirmed her appointment. A few moments pass and the receptionist finally finishes her call and turns back towards Trish.
%Receptionist%
He said to come on up. Just go to the elevator, hit the button for the second floor then go to third door on the left.
%Trish Stratus Copes%
See that wasn’t so hard was it? I guess finding good help isn’t just a problem in the wrestling business.
Before the receptionist could respond Trish walks past the reception desk made her way through the spacious lobby over to the far left hand corner where the elevators were. She pressed the lobby button and waited for the doors to open. Seconds later a slight ding fills the air as the doors slowly started to open. Trish steps inside pressing the button for the second floor. A few moments pass and the slight ding she heard earlier fills the tiny room. The doors slowly start to open and Trish steps out into the hallway. She turns to her left and heads the short distance to the third door, raising her hand and knocking. A few moments pass and a middle ages bald man answers the door. He invites Trish inside leading her over to a couple of chairs in front of a large oak desk.
%Mr. Winters%
Now Mrs. Copes, I have here the results to the trace we did of your family tree. We found quite a bit here once we got in pretty far but?.
%Trish Stratus Copes%
I don’t mean to cut you off but I’m only interested in one person. A Hannah Stratigias to be exact. You see the woman is employed in the wrestling company I help own and is claiming to be my cousin and I want to know if it’s true.
%Mr. Winters%
Hannah Stratigias? Let me look.
He scans over the paper looking for the name Trish gave him. Not finding it he looks over the page a second time before finally looking back up at Trish.
%Mr. Winters%
I’m sorry Mrs. Copes but I’m not seeing anyone by that name.
%Trish Stratus Copes%
Try Ivy Stratigias just to make sure.
He turns his attention back to the page in his hand looking for the second name she had given him, once again turning up empty.
%Mr. Winters%
I’m sorry Mrs. Copes but I don’t see that name either.
%Trish Stratus Copes%
There’s no need to be sorry Mr. Winters, that actually was just the results I was looking for.
She rises from her seat soon followed by Mr. Winters. She reaches forward shaking his hand and thanking him once again. Trish turned around and made her way towards the door. She grabs a hold of the silver handle pulling the door towards her, stepping out into the hallway in the direction of the elevators. Stepping inside she pressed the lobby button and waited for the doors to open. Seconds later a slight ding fills the air as the doors slowly started to open. Trish steps inside pressing the button for the lobby. Moments later the doors open and steps out into the hallway, with a wide smile spread across her face. She made her way through the lobby giving the receptionist a smirk as she passed her continuing through the lobby and out to the parking lot where her limo was waiting. She climbed inside sliding over to the far end so Karen could get in, sitting Crystal between them. Just as the limo started to pull out of the parking lot her phone started to ring. She reached into the pocket of her coat pulling out her baby pink RAZR. She pulled up her address book searching through her contacts for Kaylee’s number. When she finally finds it, she presses the upper right hand button and going down to call. She presses the middle button and waits for the call to go through. After a few moments the ringing stops and Kaylee’s voice comes on the line.
%Kaylee Adams%
I take it you found out the results.
%Trish Stratus Copes%
I certainly did?the bitch isn’t in my family anywhere! She’s freaking trying to make a name for herself off my name!
%Kaylee Adams%
Somehow I figured as much.
%Trish Stratus Copes%
Oh believe me so did I but with the things that bitch has been saying about me lately I just had to find out.
%Kaylee Adams%
I would too. So when are you going to share the news with little Miss Ivy?
%Trish Stratus Copes%
Oh I don’t know, I might save that little surprise for after I beat the living hell out of her tomorrow night. In fact I think that would be the perfect time.
%Kaylee Adams%
You’ve thought that through already, that’s sad. (She laughs) I really didn’t think you would have decided so soon.
%Trish Stratus Copes%
I didn’t have to think it through, it just came to me the second I found out she isn’t a part of my family. Just think about it Kay, after I knock her flat on her ass for the second time in a row I get the mic and I kneel down close to her face and tell her that she’s not my cousin. Of course she’ll insist that she is and that the test is wrong but it won’t do her a bit of good.
%Kaylee Adams%
This has to be the happiest I’ve heard you be since you got married.
%Trish Stratus Copes%
What can I say? Humiliating the hell out of that tramp is going to be one of the biggest highlights of my year.
%Kaylee Adams%
If you could be this happy about humiliating someone that’s passing off as one of your family members I’d hate to see to what you’d do to anyone else.
%Trish Stratus Copes%
That depends on what ammunition they give me and as far as Ivy is concerned let’s just say that she gives me more than enough. You know just picturing the look on her face when she finds out that I’ve discovered her little charade is going to be priceless.
%Kaylee Adams%
If I didn’t know better I’d swear you were looking forward to humiliating her at the end than you are the match itself.
%Trish Stratus Copes%
I’m looking forward to each one just as much as the other. After the things she’s been running her mouth about me lately I’m looking quite forward to shutting her mouth for her. Trust me when I’m done with her she’s going to be more than well aware that she’s nothing more than another wannabe that’s in way over her head.
%Kaylee Adams%
I doubt she’s ever going to learn that.
%Trish Stratus Copes%
So do I but it never hurts to hope. You would think losing to me once before would that into that pea sized brain of hers but apparently not. Oh well, you know me I don’t have a problem giving her another lesson.
Seeing that her limo was pulling into the hotel parking lot Trish turned her attention back to her conversation with Kaylee, telling her that they were pulling into the hotel and she would see her the following day when she arrived at the arena. After the two women said their goodbyes Trish flipped her phone closed and tossed it back into her purse as the scene faded to black once again.
