|: Queen of Havok...

Where has Miss Salazar gone? Seriously, where is she?  This match has been made a week now and she’s yet to say anything. Why if I cared I would be hurt by her lack of attention. Of course, I’d have to care. Jeanette’s not the type to be so quiet. I can’t help but wonder why. Certainly she hasn’t decided to wait on Summer to get the lead out of her ass and get back here where it belongs. Somehow I highly doubt that’s what’s going on. After all the woman had the shot handed to her all because Chris wants to make himself look good on the start of his new show. Oh no, Jeanette will show. It’s just a question of when she’s going to do it. Going by what I’ve seen so far I’m guessing that it’s going to be somewhere close to the last possible minute. That’s what I’d do if it were me. Make them sweat it out, waiting to see what I’m going to say so they pop out with clever retort in order to make me look like an idiot. Problem with that being, I could frankly care less what she has to say about me. It’s just going to be some load of bullshit anyway in order to make her look better than she is. Whatever floats her boat. I, for one, could care less to hear what she has to say. She’ll just pick some little thing out that she’s heard or seen and some big deal out of it like it actually means anything in order to provoke some response out of me to gain some satisfaction. To bad she won’t be getting any. Unlike most of the other people around here, I’m not sitting on pins and needles waiting so I can give her the response that she so desperately wants. She wants a response she’ll just have to find someone else. I’m sure it won’t be that hard to do. Who knows maybe even Lucas would give her one. He seems to enjoy being her little ally all of a sudden. If he has nothing better to do than listen to her ramble on about whatever tiny thing pops into his head, that’s his choice . I on the other hand do. My Intercontinental Title is on the line and that I think is much more important than listening to her. If she doesn’t, that’s not my problem. My one and only focus is on keeping what’s mind with me and not giving her any opportunity whatsoever to sneak in and take it. From what I’ve heard she’s gotten quite used to having things handed to her on a silver platter. She may have gotten this handed to her but I can guarantee her just as sure as I am sitting here in this limo she isn’t going to get the title as easy. She’s going to have to work harder than she’s had to in quite a while if she wants to take my title away. I can promise her that.

The scene opens inside a hotel suite somewhere in New York City, A long the far wall is a king sized bed is one single body lying in the middle of the bed under a thin white blanket. The camera moves to the far side of the room coming to a stop on an alarm clock sitting on the nightstand beside the bed. The camera focuses on the big red numbers seeing that it’s 6:59. As the time changes to 7:00 a slight buzzing sound fills the room causing the occupant to stir underneath the covers. Finally a hand sticks out from underneath the covers slowly moving over to the alarm clock. The hand pauses over the alarm for a few seconds before lowering down onto the alarm clock pressing the power button. After a few seconds the buzzing sound disappears filling the room with silence again. The hand slowly creeps back towards the bed disappearing under the covers. A few minutes pass and the buzzing sound fills the room once again. The occupant lets out an irritated groan as they once again stick their hand out from underneath the covers and over to the alarm clock, this time pressing the alarm off button. As the alarm goes quiet for a second time the blanket flings back. A few moments pass and the occupant starts to stir eventually pulling themselves up to a sitting position, dangling their legs over the side of the bed. As the occupant slides off the bed the camera slowly pans upward revealing the occupant to be WGEF Co-Owner Trish Stratus. Trish wiped the sleep out of her eyes before making her way around the bed to her suitcase. She knelt down in front of the large bag unzipping the large middle section. She reaches inside pulling out a pair of faded blue jeans and her Legion of Havok T-shirt. She reaches back inside pulling out a black lacey bra and matching tong. She zips the bag back closed and stands back up. She carries the clothes into the bathroom with her. Laying the clothes on the edge of the sink she makes her way over to the shower. She pulls the shower curtain back and sticks her hand inside twisting the knobs. After making sure the water was just right she pulled the curtain back closed and got undressed. She pulled the shower curtain back closed stepping under the steaming hot water. She closed her head back closing her eyes as the water coursed over her body. About a half an hour later the sound of running water faded eventually coming to a stop. Moments later Trish sticks her hand out towards the towel rack grabbing a towel and pulling it back inside. The shower curtain pulls back and Trish steps out covered in the towel. She headed over to the sink wiping off her body once more before dropping the towel on the floor and putting on the clothes she brought in with her. After getting dressed she stepped out into the main room, making her way across the room to her suitcase. She unzipped the front pouch pulling out her brush. She rises back to her feet taking a seat on the end of the bed as she quickly takes the brush through her golden blonde hair. Just as she takes the first swipe her cell phone starts to ring. She tosses the brush onto the bed and crawls the bed to the nightstand. She picks up her phone glancing at the caller id screen. Seeing her assistant Karen’s name on the screen she flips the phone open.

Trish Stratus: Hey Karen, I was just about to call you. Is everything all set for my appearance on TRL later on?

Karen: Yea, I called MTV yesterday afternoon and got everything all set up. They’re expecting you at the studio around 10 then they’ll show you to the locker room, which they assure me, is supplied with everything that you require.

Trish Stratus: It’s the least they can do after I’m being generous enough to take time out of my busy promotion schedule to appear on their little show.

Karen: You’re going to talk about your match at Saturday Night’s Main Event aren’t you?

Trish Stratus: Well duh. That’s the whole point of me going on this stupid show in the first place. I just can’t wait to see what sort of questions about facing Jeanette. Not that I wanted the match in the first place, my wedding is Saturday and I would rather be spending the time focusing on that instead of answering a bunch of questions from a complete idiot.

Karen: With Chris in charge what can you expect?  You’ve got the match now and there’s nothing you can do about it other than prepare yourself and being Jeanette you’re going to need to focus quite a bit on her with your title being on the line.

Trish Stratus: Why Karen if I didn’t know better I’d swear you were doubting whether I could beat Jeanette or not. And I tell ya, it really hurts. (She pretends to cry) It really does.

Karen: Yea, yea, yea. You’re forgetting that I’ve been working for you for the past five years and I know you well enough to know that’s a load of shit. You know exactly what I’m doing. I’m trying to not only give you some sort of preparation for the questions you’ll be getting later on and draw your attention to your match a little more since Jeanette is a pretty tough opponent.

Trish Stratus: Relax a bit, will you? I may have a wedding coming in a matter of three days but I am capable of thinking about more than just that. I’m fully aware that Jeanette isn’t going to be easy to beat and in fact may be impossible but you know me…always prepared. If I was younger and well, a man, I could be a freaking boy scout for Pete’s sake.

Karen: Well you’ve certainly got your work cut out for you in this one.

Trish Stratus: Like that’s anything new. It wasn’t an easy fight when I won the title from Angle back at Armageddon and then last month against Mark Stone. The last few matches I’ve had have all been difficult and I managed to get through them just fine. This is me you’re talking to not some rookie that just walked out of wrestling training.

Karen: You’re a regular smartass today. If I didn’t know better I’d swear you were actually looking forward to this interview rather than dreading it.

Trish Stratus: Please! I’d much rather spar a few rounds with Jeanette on no preparation than to go into that studio and answer god knows how many questions from some pimple faced kid who doesn’t know their ass from a hole in the ground.

Karen: You’re so optimistic. For all you know this pimple faced kid could actually be smart and ask decent questions. You could at least give them a chance before you lump them into the same category as Todd and Maria.

Trish Stratus: That’ll be the day. (She laughs) Interviewers are alike, trust me.

Karen: I’ll take your word on that. At this rate you might actually go in there in a good mood for once, not that it will last long I’m sure.

Trish Stratus: Considering the questions that I’ll most likely be getting I’m sure it won’t. I’m sure I’ll get the usual pleasure of hearing how I feel about facing Jeanette and all sorts of crap like that. You know if I sat here and actually took the time to think out some questions I could probably do the interview myself.

Karen: Oh now that would be an interesting conversation to see, you sitting there carrying on a full out conversation with yourself. Everyone would be calling you crazy. It’d definitely make you the most talked about person in the company that’s for sure. Lord knows that Jeanette would certainly find a way of using that against you.

Trish Stratus: Not if she’s been interviewed by as many idiots if I have she wouldn’t. She’d probably feel the same way herself. Not that I actually know, hell I’ve never even met the woman before much less have any inclination what kind of person she is. All I know is she’s a hell of a wrestler and I’m going to have my work cut out for me.

As Trish finishes her sentence she catches the time on the alarm clock out of the corner of her eye. Her eyes widen as she sees the time being 8:00. Knowing that her limo would be pulling out front any minute she quickly slides off the bed. She grabs her purse from beside her suitcase and makes her way across the room.

Trish Stratus: Listen Karen, the limo will be here shortly so I’m going to be heading out. I’ll catch you later.

Karen offers her a quick goodbye before hanging up the phone. Hearing the dial tone Trish tosses her phone into her purse just as she reaches the elevator. She presses the button and seconds later the doors open. She steps inside and presses the button for the lobby. As the door close behind her she leans against the back wall trying to brace herself for the ridiculous questions she would indeed be getting later. No doubt the same type she would usually get from Todd Grisham or whichever one of them she drew. What could she do about it? Refuse the request. While that would make her life easier it didn’t help the business any. She let out a sigh as the doors to the elevator finally opened. She stepped into the lobby where she was greeted by a huger throng of fans who had felt the need to gather in the lobby. Rolling her eyes she started to make her way through the lobby pausing long to ask the desk clerk if her limo had arrived. After learning that it had she went to take another step when she was stopped by a young girl, who reminded her of Crystal and what appeared to be her mother.

Woman: Excuse me Trish but my daughter is a big fan of yours and was hoping to get your autograph.

Trish Stratus: (in a friendly tone) Well I suppose I can arrange that for someone who looks a lot like my own daughter.

The girl’s mother reaches into a large bag pulling out a copy of WGEF magazine with Trish’s picture on the cover. She fishes back inside this time pulling out a sharpie marker. She hands them both over to Trish who kneels down in front of the little girl.

Trish Stratus: What’s your name sweetie?

Girl: Lisa.

Trish gave the girl a smile before turning her attention over to the magazine. She pulled the cap off the end quickly inscribing a positive message off to the side of her picture then signing her name underneath. She handed the magazine back to the girl who had a huge smile on her face as she stared at what Trish had written.

Girl: I hope you beat Jeanette, she’s mean.

Trish Stratus: Well I don’t know about that sweetie, but I promise you if she is I’ll teach her a lesson.

Girl: My mommy puts me in the corner when I’m mean so if she is, you should do that.

Trish can’t help but let out a small giggle at the girl’s comment.

Trish Stratus: I can’t make any promises but if she’s to mean I promise you that I’ll try. In fact it might be too bad for you to see.

Girl: Really?

Trish Stratus: Well if she’s to mean then I’m going to have to beat her up.

Girl: You going to put her in the hoppypital?

Trish Stratus: I might have to.

Feeling someone staring at her Trish looks up to see the limo driver standing behind the little girl’s mother with hands locked together. She motions for him to wait a minute then turns her attention back to the little girl.

Trish Stratus: Listen sweetie I have to go with that man over there to go talk to some people on tv.

The little girl nods as Trish rises to her feet. She shakes the girl by the hand before walking towards the limo driver. He leads her the short distance through the lobby and out the main doors to the limo he parked up front. He opened the door waiting for Trish to get in. Once she was inside he shut the door and walked around to the front. He climbed in and fired up the engine. As the car pulled out of the parking lot Trish pulled out her phone once again calling the number of her assistant Karen. She tapped her fingers lightly on the arm rest as she waited for Karen to answer the phone. A couple of minutes later Karen’s voice comes through.

Karen: I thought you were on your way to the studio, what happened?

Trish Stratus: Nothing happened. I just got stopped in the lobby by a little girl and her mother which put me a little behind. Anyways I was wondering has Jeanette made any kind of promo?

Karen: Not yet she hasn’t.

Trish Stratus: You’re kidding, the match has been made for a week now and she has yet to do as much as to make any sort of a promo? That’s surprising. Perhaps Saturday night will go much easier for me than I thought.

Karen: Now you know better than to think a thing like that and you’re going to end up making a major mistake that’s going to end up costing you your title. Trish you’re one of the best that company has but that’s going to disappear real quick if you go getting to cocky.

Trish Stratus: I know, I know. What else can I do though when she hasn’t so much as said a word in a week? You know me Karen, I just can’t sit around and wait for her to cut a promo. It gets under my skin. Not that I think Jeanette’s the type to resort to childish names but I’ve to many of them do it in the past and if she’s the type I’d like to know before the last minute.

Karen: Not to sound critical but have you given any thought as to she’s doing this to psyche you out?

Trish Stratus: That could very well be the case, but I don’t know. Jeanette’s never struck me as the type to do that. What little I’ve seen of her she doesn’t seem the type that’s paid any attention to who she’s facing. A very admirable quality if you ask me. Which tells me she’s planning something that I’ll be hearing soon enough.

Karen: That’s just it, she wants you to be so focused on what she says that you put much thought into your own ideas. That way she’ll have an easier shot at getting your title.

Trish Stratus: Perhaps, but I can’t help it. Call it an enquiring mind but I’m just a tad curious as to what she’s got to say.

Karen: Yes well if you do that this time around that’s all you’re going to be doing. Once she gets started you’re going to be nothing but correcting what she says. What you need to be doing is getting you a game plan set up if you want any chance against her.

Trish Stratus: Don’t worry so much Karen, I have everything under control. But if you could scrounge up anything on her that I might have missed that would be great.

Karen: Anything in particular?

Trish Stratus: Her matches from any other feds or anything you think I could use.

Karen: Okay I’ll have them in your office when you get here.

Trish Stratus: Thanks a million Karen, I owe you big time.

Trish looks ahead and sees the limo pulling into the MTV Studios parking lot.

Trish Stratus: Okay we’re pulling into the studio now so I’m going to be going and try and get myself at least semi interested in this tv thing.

Karen: Enjoy.

Trish let out a small giggle as she said her and Karen said their goodbyes. She flipped her phone closed tossing it back into her purse just as the limo pulls into the parking lot. The limo drives around to the back of the building coming to a stop in front of a typical steel door. As the limo comes to a stop the driver kills the engine. He gets out and walks around to the back opening the door for Trish to get out. Trish steps out making her way up to the building where she’s greeted by a security guard. She gives him her name and he pulls the door open for her. As she walks inside she’s greeted by a small red haired girl dressed in khaki pants and a pink t-shirt with MTV’s logo at the top. She introduces herself as Tina and leads Trish down a long hallway to an elevator. After they’re both inside  the elevator Tina presses the second floor button. Moments later they reach the second floor and the doors pop open. Tina leads Trish down another lengthy hallway to a small dressing room. Trish heads over to a small table grabbing a bottle of water and taking it over to the couch. About twenty minutes later there’s a knock on the door. The door opens and Tina sticks her head inside. Trish gets up from her seat on the couch following Tina down a long hallway, as they head down the hall she can hear “Wall to Wall?by Chris Brown blaring from the studio. She’s lead to a blue curtain where Tina tells her to wait for her cue. As Tina walks away the video comes to an end and Damien Fahey’s voice fills the studio.

Damien: Up next we have one of the owners of the World’s Greatest E-Federation, please welcome Trish Stratus!

Trish steps through the curtain to some pre-recorded music with a fake smile plastered on her face. She steps onto a small stage where she is handed a microphone by Damien. After a few minutes the crowd starts to quiet down filling the studio with silence.

Damien: Welcome Trish. I understand that you’re one of the owners of the company is that right?

Trish Stratus: Yes Damien that’s right.

Damien: Tell us, is that much different from being a regular wrestler?

Trish Stratus: Not for the most part. There’s just the added tasks that come with running the company on top of being an active competitor.

Damien: I understand that you didn’t make this match. Instead it was made by Chris Michaels, who I see here is far from your biggest fan. Do you have any idea why you were booked in this match?

Trish Stratus: Knowing Chris, which I unfortunately do, it was for his own amusement. Chris would like nothing more than to see me lose my title against an opponent of his choosing and on a show that he was placed in charge of. It would be his dream come true if I were to lose my title on his watch. Trust me.

Damien: This Saturday is the first edition of the Saturday Night’s Main Event, where you’re set to defend your Intercontinental Title against a woman who’s still relatively new to the WGEF but at the same time has proven herself to be quite a dominating force in the ring. Do you see your title in any jeopardy?

Trish Stratus: Of course I see it in jeopardy. Whenever the title is on the line there’s always a chance that it could change hands, especially against someone as difficult as Jeanette is going to be. I’ve seen Jeanette work in the ring several times so I’m well versed with what she’s capable of. My title’s perfectly safe.

Damien: In the short time she’s been there Jeanette has blown through everyone that has been placed before her, with the exception of Summer Fox. Do you see yourself being in the same category as Summer or will you be another of Jeanette’s victims?

Trish Stratus: Me fall victim to Jeanette? (She laughs) Now that’s funny. I tell you what, if something falls through here and you find yourself looking for a job come see me. As for me falling victim to Jeanette, I’ve faced both Kurt Angle and Mark Stone and I managed to beat Kurt for the title and retained it against Mark Stone so I think I can handle Jeanette just fine.

Damien: You beat Mark Stone by making a desperate move and hitting him in the genitals and escaping with the title. If you find yourself faced with the same situation, do you think you’d resort to giving Jeanette a cheap shot in order to keep your title?

Trish Stratus: If the situation calls for me to do whatever it takes to keep what’s mine than of course I will. Do I think I will need to? No Damien I don’t. Mark Stone almost got a lucky break at Wrestlemania. I can promise Jeanette she won’t have it so lucky.

Damien: You sound very confident that you’ll be able to defeat Jeanette, is there any chance that she’ll be able to pull a fast one over you?

Trish Stratus: Only if I take my mind off the match and I can assure you that won’t be happening. I’ve worked way too hard to get the title and defend it, I’m not about to risk losing it by taking my mind off Jeanette even for a second.

Damien: Jeanette has been rather quite as far as this match is concerned, does that concern you in any way?

Trish Stratus: On one hand it does and on the other it doesn’t. She could simply be wasting my time by not planning to show or she could be planning something big. I just have to be prepared for either one and be ready if or when she finally makes her move.

Damien: Well that’s all the time we have. Thank you Trish for taking the time to stop by.

Trish Stratus: The pleasure was all mine.

Damien: Be sure to catch the WGEF’s Saturday Night’s Main Event this Saturday at 9pm Eastern. Up next we have John Norris with the news…stay tuned.

As the cameras went to commercial Damien once again thanked Trish for her appearance. She smiled politely in his direction before turning around and walking off the small stage. Trish makes her way down the hall heading in the direction of the elevator. Stepping inside she pressed the lobby button and waited for the doors to open. Seconds later a slight ding fills the air as the doors slowly started to open. Trish steps inside pressing the button for the lobby. Moments later the doors open and steps out into the hallway, letting out a loud groan in frustration as she heads down to the waiting area. She knew she shouldn’t be surprised by those questions for some reason she was. She shook her head trying to erase the idiotic questions from her memory but was very unsuccessful. Oh well, it gave the company some good promotion even if she had to endure a couple hours of complete and utter hell. She shrugged it off and continued across the lobby to the entrance door. She breezed through the open doors into the parking lot. The driver opened the door just as Trish reached the limo. She climbed inside watching as the driver made his way back around to the front. As he climbed into the seat in front of her she closed her eyes feeling the limo pulling out of the parking lot.

The scene reopened a few minutes later with Trish seated in the back of her limo. She had fulfilled her duties of appearing on the teen geared show and was now eager to meet up with Deacon and Crystal and enjoy some peace and quiet for tomorrow night’s match. And after those questions who could blame her? Granted they were a little more intelligent than the ones she had usually gotten but still it aggravated her.  As the limo pulled out into the street Trish’s head smacked against the side. Not enough to do any damage but it definitely gave her a headache. Letting out a groan she pulled herself off the back of the seat. She leaned down to the floor grabbing her purse from beside her feet. She unzipped it and pulled out a small bottle of Tylenol. She dropped one into her hand then reached over to the refrigerator for a bottle of water. Popping the pill into her mouth she took a sip of water then placed the lid back on the bottle. Just as she started to lean back she realized she forgot to grab her suitcase before she left that morning. Being on the phone with Karen when she left her mind was centered on the conversation. She could just kick herself for forgetting and lucky she was in her limo so she couldn’t. She looked down at her watch. Deacon was supposed to meet her at the airport with Crystal in an hour and a half so chances were he hadn’t left yet. Pulling herself forward again she grabs her purse off the floor this time pulling out her cell phone. After a few minutes she finally finds it shoved down at the bottom of her purse. She pulls the phone out and flips it open. She pulls up her contacts and flips through to Deacon’s number. After flipping through a couple of numbers she reaches Deacon’s number and goes through the options, finally pressing the call button. As the phone starts to ring she reaches over to the armrest and presses the button that controls the patrician. Just as the patrician reaches the top Deacon picks up the phone.

Trish Stratus: Hey babe, I was just thinking about you.

Deacon Havok:  Were you now? Was it something good or should I be concerned?

Trish Stratus: (She giggles) You’re funny, you know that? Unless you turn out to be a complete idiot with a microphone in your hand nonstop you have nothing to worry about. And trust me…you’re not one, so you’re safe.

Deacon Havok: (He lets out a breath of relief) Am I ever glad to hear that.

Trish Stratus: I’ll bet you are.

Deacon Havok: Judging by the tone of your voice, the press conference didn’t go as well as you had hoped it would

Trish Stratus: Oh my god, you have no idea. I might as well have just went to the arena and spent a couple hours talking to Todd “I’m a complete idiot?Grisham?or?(Trish shudders) Maria, as bad as it sounds they were. I seriously would’ve had a better time if I had just stood there and shoved bamboo sticks under my fingernails until I drew blood.

Deacon Havok: Now surely it couldn’t have been that bad hun. You’ve went through countless interviews with both Todd and Maria and haven’t driven bamboo sticks under your fingernails?yet.

Trish Stratus: Note the phrase yet. I don’t know babe, if that had lasted any longer I would’ve ended up beating those idiots with that microphone, I swear I would have. Hey listen when I left this morning I forgot to grab my suitcase. Is there anyway I can get you to bring it to the airport with you?

Deacon Havok: I suppose I can arrange that, You’re just lucky I love you so much or you’d have to come back for your own bag.

Trish Stratus: I owe you one.

Deacon Havok: Oh don’t worry I plan to collect that on the honeymoon. Look do yourself a favor and calm down a little bit. You’re sounding way to much like your daughter was this morning. She didn’t want to hold still so I could get her dressed, she’s all excited about flying with mommy to watch her match.

Trish Stratus: Yes well she can’t watch too much of it. I know it’s going to be on early enough where she can stay up if she gets a nap in but considering how violent and bloody it’s going to get its best that she not see it.

Deacon Havok: I suppose you’re right but she really wants to see mommy win the title.

Trish giggles at the comment. She can picture her daughter throwing a fit and wanting to see Trish retain the Intercontinental Title still she didn’t want her to see a match that was going to be as graphic as this one was shaping up to be.

Trish Stratus: That’s my girl. I don’t know Deacon something just tells me there’s going to be way to much blood and violence for her to see that young and trust me I see a lot of that between myself and of course Jeanette.

Deacon Havok: I'm sure she'll understand babe.

Trish Stratus: She better cause she doesn't have any choice in the matter. I don't have any idea what's going to happen out there and I don't want to take the chance of her seeing anything to graphic. She wants to watch the begininning I can live with that but not past that, I just don't want to take any chances.

Deacon Havok: I don't blame you. Things can get dangerous out there and if she sees you get hurt it'll terrify her.

Trish Stratus: And that's what I want to avoid. It's not like I can go up to Jeanette and say " Please don't do anything that even remotely looks like I'm getting hurt cause my daughter's watching and I don't want her seeing it". I'd love to but unfortunately that's not a poassibility. Maybe I'm be to paranoid here but I'd rather be safe than sorry over what Crystal sees.

About an hour later Trish’s limo reaches the airport and pulls into the parking lot. It slowly makes its way through the lengthy driving lane eventually coming to a stop directly in front of the doors. The limo driver killed the engine and opened his door stepping out onto the sidewalk. He quickly walked around to the rear door and pulled it open. A few seconds pass and Trish emerges from inside the limo still dressed in the white tank top and pants that she put on that morning. She grabbed her purse from its place on the seat beside her and drapes it over her shoulder. She rises to a standing position, offering the limo driver a polite smile and a thank you before heading into the airport.  As she reaches the doors they glide open allowing Trish inside. She stepped past the doors coming to a stop on the other side. She reached inside her purse looking for her airline ticket. Finally finding it next to her cell phone she pulls it out. Her eyes scan the ticket from top to bottom looking for the gate number. She finally finds it on the bottom of the ticket. Gate 23 she quietly says to herself. She lets out a quick hmmm before placing the ticket carefully back into her purse. She takes a quick peek at her watch seeing that she only had 45 minutes left before her flight. Tightening her grip on her purse Trish hurries down the hall searching for gate 23 and her soon to be husband and daughter. Halfway down she sees a large sign hanging from the ceiling giving the directions to where different gates are located. Trish pauses to look and see if the gate she was looking for was on there. Sure enough there it was directly in the middle. Just as Trish was about to continue on she heard an unfamiliar voice calling out “Oh my god it’s Trish Stratus!? Trish rolled her eyes in annoyance knowing that it was just some damp pantied fan before turning around and finding two teenage girls standing behind her.

Girl #1: Excuse me Trish but we were hoping to get a quick autograph.

Trish nodded her head in acceptance knowing it was the only way she was going to rid herself of them in time to catch her flight. Before she can even fish around  in her purse for something to write with both girls produce a sharpie marker and a small notebook. The second girls hands the notebook to Trish as she quickly starts to sign a brief message across the top of  the piece of paper.

Girl #1: I know you’re probably in a hurry but I was just wondering are you nervous about facing Jeanette for the Intercontinental Title?

Trish scoffed at the question…her be nervous? Now that was funny.

Trish Stratus: Nervous? Do I look nervous? Honey, I’m wrestled people just as good and maybe even better than Jeanette and I handled myself just fine against them so there’s nothing Jeanette can do that I’d be even the slightest bit nervous over.

Girl #2: Okay maybe not nervous but surely you’re concerned about your chances of her coming out the winner.

Trish Stratus: Of course I am. Jeanette is a hell of a competitor and getting past her isn’t going to be easy by any means.

Girl #1: Have you prepared yourself in any special way to face her?

Trish Stratus: No I haven’t. Going against Jeanette is just like going against anyone else. My only concern is keeping myself away from any place that gives her an advantage to get something over.

Girl #2: Well Jeanette’s previous accomplishments has to be weighing on your mind.

Trish Stratus: Of course it is. I know the last fed she was in got shut down before she could really do much but I’ve seen what she’s done here and that speaks volumes just in itself.

Girl #1: With the Intercontinental Title on the line, do you think either of you would resort to desperate measures in order to win?

Trish Stratus: Sweetie I don’t get desperate. Maybe to smart for those a little on the slow side, but never desperate. I can’t speak for Jeanette, but I’m sure she’d give you pretty much the same response.

Trish handed the girls back the notebook after giving each of them the autograph they asked for. She was hoping that would further show that she had other places she needed to be but no such luck.

Girl #2: I don’t know that low blow against Mark Stone looked awfully desperate to me.

Trish shot the girls a cold glare as she adjusted her purse on her shoulder.

Trish Stratus: Ah, how cute. You obviously are one of the slow minded ones I was talking about. That. my dear, is what one would call seizing an opportunity. Granted I can’t do exactly the same thing against Jeanette for obvious reasons, but if I see an opportunity to gain the upper hand against her I’m certainly going to take advantage of it.

Girl #1: What about Lucas Prodogy? I know you know what you’re doing but I wouldn’t put it past her not to have him come down and help her get the title.

Trish Stratus: Perhaps but I can’t see Jeanette being that stupid. She wants the title more than anything else on this planet and she won’t risk people thinking that she can’t do it on her own. She’s worked way to hard to have him come down there and cost her something that could make her career bigger than it already is.

Trish looks down at her watch seeing that she only has 20 minutes till her flight leaves.

Trish Stratus: Listen girls I really do have to be going if I want to catch my flight.

The girls be grudgingly accept and let Trish go on her way. Knowing that she has quite a distance to go Trish starts running down the terminal hoping that she’s able to make it on time. As she continues to run down the hallway her eyes catch her watch –only ten more minutes. Finally after a couple more minutes Trish finally reaches the gate. Out of breath she unzips her purse and reaches inside for her ticket. She pulls it out and hands it to the flight attendant behind the counter. As the flight attendant glances over the Trish looks around noticing that Chris and Crystal aren’t anywhere to be seen. Figuring they must already be on the plane she waits for the attendant to give her back her ticket. Finally he does and Trish hurries through the gate and into the plane where she sees Chris sitting on the outside seat with Crystal on his lap. She quickly shows the stewardess her  ticket and is led to the seat next to him . As she plops her small frame into the seat next to him Crystal crawls over to her.

Deacon Havok: What took you so long? I was beginning to wonder if you were even going to make the plane.

Trish Stratus: I got stopped by these two pains in the ass girls wanting autographs and of course they had to ask some stupid questions about my match tonight. If I wouldn’t have sprinted across the terminal I wouldn’t have made it here on time.

Trish picks Crystal off her lap and sits her down in the seat next to her as the seatbelt sign comes on. After making sure that Crystal was secured she reached over and fastened her own seatbelt. As she did the stewardess stepped out from behind a curtain and got on the microphone.

Stewardess: Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen to flight 930 direct from Toronto, Ontario Canada to New York City here on Virgin Atlantic. As soon as the plane has safely made it into the air you will be free to walk around the plane. Enjoy your flight and thank you for flying Virgin Atlantic.

She hung the microphone and disappeared once again behind the curtain. A few moments pass and the seatbelt sign goes off. Trish glances over at Crystal who is fast asleep in her seat. Trish undoes her seatbelt and reaches back inside her purse for her phone. Finding it at the bottom of the main compartment she pulls it out and flips it open She pulls up her contacts and searches for her assistant Karen’s phone number. As she comes across it she presses the call button and listens as the phone starts to ring. A couple of minutes and finally Trish can hear the phone being picked up.

Voice: Hello?

Trish Stratus Jericho: Hey Karen its Trish. Deacon, Crystal and I have just left Toronto and are on our way over to New York. The way I have it figured we should get there about an hour or two before the pre main event even starts.

Karen: That going to give you enough time to over come the jetlag before your match? Considering you’ve got a title defense tonight you want to make sure you’re well rested going into this.

Trish Stratus: Don’t worry I’ll have plenty of time to get there and relax a bit before my match comes up. Even with it being third on the card an hour or  two will give me plenty of time. You worry to much you know that? If I didn’t know better I swear I was talking to Deacon instead of you.

Deacon opens his eyes and looks over at his soon to be wife with a quizzical expression as he tries to figure what’s going on. Seeing him looking at her Trish moves the phone away from her mouth a bit and mouths the word Karen at him. Chris nods and closes his eyes once again.

Trish Stratus: Did the sets and everything get there on time and set up?

Karen: Everything’s fine. All the stages and sets came this morning and the crew is setting them up now. I told them to make sure they were up when by the time you got here.

Trish Stratus: Fantastic! I don’t know what I’d do without you helping me.

Karen: Yea about that, Jeanette’s finally shown up and made a promo for tomorrow night. Nothing special really, just the usual interview with your favorite interviewer.

Trish Stratus: She got the pleasure of Todd Grisham did she? Remind me to send her a sympathy card when I get there…she’ll need it. Did she say anything useful or was it nothing but the typical putdowns?

Karen: Surprisingly no. She did however catch your interview on TRL already.

Trish Stratus: Well good. I certainly hoped she enjoyed it. After all it should give her plenty of ammo to use. Lord knows she has to look the best at all times.

Karen: You’ve done that exact same thing yourself on a million of occasions.

Trish Stratus: There’s one little difference though Karen…I’m telling the truth not making up stories. (She sighs) I guess I’ve got to hand it to her though, as much as I hate to admit it some of what she says is true. She is great in the ring and does destroy whoever is put in front of her.

Karen: Scare you a little bit, does it?

Trish Stratus: Hell no! If I was scared of every person I had to face that had that kind of reputation I never would have made it this long. All I’m saying is that out of all the people I’ve faced she’s going to be one of the toughest. I just hope she doesn’t think this match is going to be a cakewalk like her match with Evangelia was. Cause I hate to burst her bubble but it’s going to be far from that. If she wants my title she’s all but going to have to pry from my hands as I’m laying in the ring unconscious.

Karen: A little over dramatic don’t you think? Besides what I heard of her interview she doesn’t seem to think that at all. She knows you busted your ass to get that title and are going to give her a fight to keep it. She’s not dumb like most of the other women there.

Trish Stratus: Thank God, finally one with brains. That’s a rare commodity around here.

The two women share a small laugh before maintaining their composure moments later.

Karen: That was bad.

Trish Stratus: True but it had to be said. Is that all she said or is there anything else I should know about?

Karen: Not really everything she said actually was quite respectful towards you. I can save the tape for you but I didn’t hear one single dig come from her.

Trish Stratus: Really? Now that’s a surprise. Hmmm?I’m actually respecting this woman. My interview on TV didn’t come across as disrespecting her did it? Because I would hate for it sound like I was cutting her down then she says nice things about me.

Karen: Relax it was fine. Besides she said you made her seem semi likeable, so I’m sure she was fine with it. I thought you didn’t care what she thought about what you said. Sounds a little to me like you do.

Trish Stratus: I do not! I just don’t want a bitching war. Besides I wasn’t slamming her and I don’t want her to think that I was. She’s a hell of a competitor and deserves the recognition.

Karen: That was a fast change. What brought that on all of a sudden?

Trish Stratus: Can’t a girl be flattered when someone she doesn’t even know actually thinks she deserves what she has. How often do I hear that?  You know this match might be turn out to fun after all and not the blood fest that I was thinking it was going to be.

Karen: Bloodfest? Where on earth did that come from?

Trish Stratus: Oh come on Karen, you know how I am when people talk shit about me. It gets under my skin and I end up going in there and beating the living hell out of them. Granted I don’t always win but hey, I get my satisfaction. This time, I actually get to go in there with someone who doesn’t resort to insult after insult…it’s refreshing.

Karen: So I take I don’t have to listen to the ranting and raving about she said this and she said that later on? You must wrestle this woman more often.

Trish Stratus: Very funny Karen. You have any idea how dull it would be facing the same person every time? All it’s going to take for me is once. I go in there, give her the best match of her career and walk out with the Intercontinental Title still around my waist.

Karen: A nice dream but unfortunately it’s not going to go that way Trishy. That woman’s going to give you a hell of a fight and one that you had best be ready for.

Trish Stratus: Don’t worry, I am. I’ve watched her in the ring before so I know full well how she handles herself and what to expect. Not saying that it’s in the bag or anything but I can beat her.

Karen: I certainly hope so cause I’d hate to hear you afterwards if you don’t. Deacon might want to hold off on the honeymoon with as pissed off as you’d be.

Trish Stratus: Pissed or not I’m going on my honeymoon. Even if I lose I’ve got a rematch clause and you can bet your ass I’m going to take it.

Karen: I have no doubts about that. In fact I’d be feeling your forehead if you didn’t. You do have a plan on what you’re going to do tomorrow night aren’t you?

Trish Stratus: Of course I do Karen. You don’t really think I’d go in there blind do you? Maybe if I was someone like my sister I would, but I have more brains than that. I’ve got it all planned out, trust me. I might as well walk down to that ring and just hand her the title if I didn’t.

Karen: I know, I just want to make sure you’ve given this the proper amount of thought and didn’t spend all your time thinking about your wedding. I know that’s important but so is this.

Trish rolled her eyes at Karen’s lameness. She knew it was just Karen’s way of making sure that her head was where it should be but it didn’t make her any less annoyed.

Karen: Well what are you going to do if Jeanette pulls out a fast one and surprises you?

Trish Stratus: Oh you mean after I stand there looking as shocked and bewildered as everyone else? I’m going to do what I do best naturally. Nothing else to do except beat the living hell out of her and keep my precious title out her hands. I wouldn’t want to risk her actually getting a chance at getting her hands on it and getting God knows what all over it. There wouldn’t be enough disinfectant in the world to clean whatever she has off my belt.

Karen: Sure thing Trish.

Just as Karen finished speaking Trish looked up to see the seatbelt sign had come back on.

Trish Stratus Jericho: Listen Karen we’re arriving at the airport now so I’ll be at the arena in about an hour or so. I  know this is a bad time to ask but my limo is out there right?

Karen: Of course.

Trish thanked Karen and quickly said her goodbyes. As she heard the dial tone coming from the other end she quickly flipped her phone closed. She stuffed back into the main section of her purse and fastened her seatbelt as the stewardess came back out.

Stewardess:  Ladies and Gentlemen we are just about to land at the Heathrow Airport, please make sure you are seated and that your seatbelt is securely fastened around you. We hope that you have enjoyed your flight and will fly Virgin Atlantic in the future.

As she disappears once again behind the curtain as the plane started to descend. After a half hour it finally hit the ground sending everyone flying forward in their seats then slamming against the back seconds later. The plane coasted along the runway eventually coming to a smooth stop in front of the gate. Flight attendants gathered up front as the announcement was made for everyone to begin getting off the plane. Unfastening their seatbelts Trish and Deacon rose to their feet. Trish bent down and picked up Crystal from her seat positioning her on her hip as she followed Deacon off the plane. As usual people pointed and stared as they made their way through the terminal. Deacon headed to the baggage claim as Trish took Crystal to the waiting limo. After having a bag boy grab the bags Deacon joined his family inside the limo as the limo driver and bag boy loaded everything into the trunk. After twenty minutes everything was in the trunk. The limo shut the trunk and headed around to the front. He climbed in the driver’s seat and turned on the engine. After a couple of minutes he pulled out of the parking lot and into traffic. An hour and a half later they finally reach the arena to a large group of fans clustered at the top of the back drive. The limo driver fights through it eventually getting through and continuing on to the rear entrance door. The limo came to a stop just in front of the door. The driver got out and walked around to the back, he opened the rear door. Deacon slid out first followed by Trish and Crystal. Deacon grabbed the bags from the limo driver and followed his wife inside. Once inside Trish laid Crystal down on the floor as Deacon came in with the bags. Trish scanned the room , making sure it was decorated to her specific instructions, once she was satisfied she made her way over to the couch eager to relax a few moments before heading to the arena’s gym for some last minute training. Just as she bends her legs and starts to sit a loud knock comes from the direction of the door. Trish lets out a loud groan as she finishes lowering her small frame onto the cushions. Turning her gaze towards the door calling for whoever was out there to come in. Moments later the door slowly starts to open and Todd Grisham steps inside the room. Trish rolls her eyes in disgust as Todd makes his way across the room sitting in the chair next to the couch.

Todd Grisham: Trish, I was hoping to ask you a few questions regarding your match Jeanette Salazar tomorrow night on Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Trish Stratus: Oh very well Todd.
Not wasting any time Todd raises his mic up to his lips and starts to speak.

Todd Grisham: Ladies and Gentlemen I’m standing here with WGEF Co- Owner and Raw General Manager Trish Stratus, who tomorrow night will be defending her Intercontinental Title against Jeanette Salazar in a match made by your biggest enemy, Chris Michaels. How do you feel about that?

Trish Stratus: To be honest I feel perfectly fine about it. Why should I feel any different? Because Chris booked me against someone who is one of the toughest competitors in this company and put my title on the line on top of that? I hate to burst your bubble there Todd but I don’t.

Todd Grisham: It’s no secret that Jeanette’s a tough competitor and naturally has made quite a few enemies because of that.  What’s your opinion of her?

Trish Stratus: Professionally she’s one of the best athlete’s we’ve got. She’s busted her ass to get to where she is and because of that I have respect for her. Personally…I haven’t met her yet so I can’t give you an answer. From what I’ve seen of her she seems to be quite likeable, who knows maybe someday I’ll find out.

Todd Grisham: With the Intercontinental Title on the line, Jeanette’s going to be even more of a dominating force in hopes of cementing her name in WGEF histtory. Have you prepared yourself for the extra challenge?

Trish Stratus: Well of course Todd, do I have the word ‘stupid?stamped on my forehead? I’m fully aware Jeanette’s going to be looking to get her hands on my title at all costs. That’s the point of the title after all. As much as she’s going to be trying to weaken me to make her job that much easier I’m going to be doing the same to keep her as far away as possible. Now if you don’t mind I have some training to do so kindly show your ass to the door.

Knowing that he had best leave before he was escorted out, Todd rose from his seat once again making his way across the room to the door. Pulling the door open he turned around and getting one more glare from Trish before disappearing into the hallway.

The scene opens up in the parking lot of the arena that will be hosting the premier episode of Saturday Night’s Main Event. As the sun starts to set alongside the arena a cool breeze fills the sky offering a token of relief to the thousands of fans waiting outside. The camera pans the parking lot and a bar comes across the bottom of the screen announcing they are indeed in New York City Seeing the camera filming them the crowd lets out a massive cheer showing that they are ready to go inside. As the camera continues to pan the crowd a long white stretch limo pulls alongside the front doors. The limo comes to a stop and the driver gets out, dressed in his usual black formal suit with white dress shirt, and then walks around to the back doors. He opens the rear door and one of the people slides out, stepping straight into the camera's view. It's Deacon Havok the soon to be husband of the reining Intercontinental Champion and WGEF Co-Owner Trish Stratus, who joins him seconds later. The crowd gives out its friendly welcome for the Queen of Stratusfaction. That being the usual slut chant accompanied by a round of boos. Trish can hear their reaction and scowl as she looks around at all of them. The crowd goes nuts at seeing two of the biggest stars in the company before having been seated. Security manages to hold every single fan back giving both Trish and Deacon ample room to step away from the limo. As they do the driver closes the door behind them. He then walks around to the rear of the limo to retrieve both Trish and Deacon's bags. When he reaches the rear of the limo he opens the trunk and gets out both of the couples bags. Moments later he closes the trunk then walks back around to the back door. He comes up behind Trish, Deacon stretches around her for the bags and flings them on his shoulders. After Deacon takes the bags the driver walks back around the limo heading towards the driver's door. Trish and Deacon stand there for a few seconds before making their way to the arena. Deacon pauses to adjust the bags on his shoulders then slips his hand around Trish's left hand. Trish leans her head against his shoulder with a warm smile on her face. As they continue towards the arena one of the make fans pushes his way past security racing towards Trish and Deacon. Once he reaches them he holds out an autograph book and pen. Trish shoots him an evil glare then shoves him away. The young man stumbles back before falling on his ass. Both Trish and Deacon burst out in laughter at the young man's expense before continuing to the arena. As they reach the double doors the security guards hold the doors open allowing them to walk inside. They walk into the hall still hand in hand through a second batch of security guards. After getting past them they continue down the hall in search of a place where they can get a few moments of peace. They walk around the bend in the hall noticing the peaceful silence and walk over towards the wall. Deacon sits the bags down on the floor then looks up at Trish who has a concerned expression on her face.

Trish Stratus: If those bags are too heavy to carry I am capable of carrying my own bag ya know?

Deacon Havok: Yea I know. Relax babe these bags aren't as heavy as they seem to be. After all I'm used to lifting a lot more than this during my workouts.

Trish Stratus: Well if you're sure they're not too heavy, I’ll keep my mouth closed. I just don’t want you carrying all the weight when I can carry some of it. Besides I want you to be at a hundred percent for our celebration tonight.

Deacon Havok: What celebration is this?

Trish Stratus: Shhh it's a secret that you won't find the answer to until after Saturday Night’s Main Event. When I beat Jeanette Salazar and retain my Intercontinental Title, I will definitely be in the mood for celebrating.

Deacon Havok: I have faith in you babe. Jeanette may be one of the best women we’ve had in a long time but she’s nowhere near being in your league. You’ve proven that against Kurt Angle and Mark Stone…Jeanette will be a breeze.

Trish Stratus: I appreciate the sentiment babe but it’s going to be far from a breeze. If it were Stacy it would definitely be a breeze but this is Jeanette. The woman is one of fiercest competitors we have on the entire roster, this is going to be one of the most grueling matches of my career.

Deacon Havok: Fair enough but it’s going to be the toughest of Jeanette’s too, whether she knows it or not you’re not an easy woman to beat.

Trish Stratus: Well from what Karen says Jeanette’s definitely aware of that.

Deacon Havok: (with a smirk on his face) Does she now? Well it’s nice to see that there’s at least one woman on that roster that knows true talent when she sees it.

Trish Stratus: Yea well, I’m not going to get used to it. About the time I do the next person I face is going to be one of those that think the sun shines out of their ass. Not that I really care, mind you. My one and only concern is the Intercontinental Title. Come on I want to get to my office and get some work done then get in a little training today. At this rate it may end up being more training than work, but at some point it will all get done.

Deacon Havok: I told you if there's anything I can do to help you get some stuff done I will you just have to let me know what it is.

Trish Stratus: Right now there's nothing you can help me with. I've got contracts for matches piled up on my desk that I need to go through and get signed. Right now that's going to have to wait until I get this match with Jeanette out of the way.

Deacon bends down and picks both of the bags up from the floor. He flings them back on his shoulders then follows Trish down the hall as she heads in the direction of her office. They pass a lengthy hall that contains the majority of the locker rooms belonging to the wrestlers. A small group of them is gathered beside a coffee table getting a cup of coffee and stopping to catch up with close friends. Off in the distance she spots her best friend Sharmaine James and her husband Chris Orton leaning against the wall talking amongst themselves. After the last encounter she had with Sharmaine she didn't care to deal with her anymore than she absolutely had to. Her match was in just a few short hours and she wasn’t looking to get into a fight in the hallway. Not that she was expecting one, but you never know. As she reached them, Trish locked eyes with Sharmaine giving her a polite smile before breezing past. Before she can get all the way past Sharmaine reaches out grabbing Trish by the arm preventing her from leaving.

Sharmaine James: What’s a matter Trish, were you just going to walk by and not say hello? That really hurts my feelings.

Trish Stratus: Cut the crap Sharmaine I don't have the time to deal with your shit right now. I have a ton of stuff I need to do before my match with Jeanette later on tonight.

Sharmaine James: That you do Trish, that you do. Unfortunately none of it is going to help you. Face it Trish your time being the Intercontinental Champion will soon be over and you’ll finally realize that you need to retire.

Trish Stratus: Very amusing Sharmaine. If I were you I’d take a good long look in the mirror, I think you’ll find that you’re the one in need of retiring if you catch my point.

Before Sharmaine can reply Trish rips her arm out of her grip and storms down the hall after Deacon is already halfway down the hall. Trish quickens her pace turning it into a slow run eventually catching up with him as he reaches her office door. She pulls her key ring from the pocket of her faded jeans searching for the right key. After flipping through every key on her key ring she finally comes across it and sticks it into the lock. There's a loud snap sound as the lock flips over. Trish pulls the key out of the lock and shoves it back in her pocket. Once the key is snuggly back in place she reaches forward and opens the door for Deacon who looks like he could drop the bags at any minute. Once inside Deacon drops the bags over by the couch and plops down on the soft suede cushions letting out a sigh of relief. Trish looked over at him and giggled before continuing onto her desk. She pulled out her leather chair and took a seat still laughing at Deacon's outburst.

Deacon Havok: What's so funny?

Trish Stratus: You and your sigh. I told you if those were to heavy I could carry my own bag.

Deacon Havok: I didn't say they were to heavy I was just glad I could sit them down. Why don't you get started on all that paperwork that you were whining about and leave me be?

Trish Stratus: Wah wah wah, alright ya big baby I'll leave you be and do some grown up work.

Trish turns her attention away from Deacon focusing on the paperwork piled on the corner of her desk. In the meantime Deacon reaches into the trash can for something to toss at her. He fumbles through for a few minutes pulling up a crumpled up piece of paper that Trish threw in there the other day. He positions the ball towards the side of her head then tosses it over at her. The ball flies across the room and hits Trish square in the side of the head, startling her. Trish gasps and leaps out of her seat trying to figure out what it was that hit her in the head. She looks down and sees the crumpled up piece of paper that Deacon tossed over at her. She can hear Deacon laughing at her from his seat on the couch. Trish reaches down and picks the piece of paper up from the floor and tosses it back at Deacon watching as it hits him in the forehead. Deacon grabs the piece of paper from the floor in front of him and makes a move like he's going to toss it back at her. Trish grabs a scrap piece of paper from her desk crumples it up and goes to throw it at him when a loud knock comes from her office door. A disgusted look comes over Trish's face as she lays the piece of paper on the top of her desk and turns her attention towards the door. With a disgusted tone in her voice she calls for whoever is out there to come in. The door slowly opens and a pair of legs are seen coming into the room. As the camera in the room gets into position it slowly moves up the person's legs revealing the person to be none other than Trish’s best friend Kaylee Adams- McKenzie. Seeing Kaylee standing in her doorway Trish shoves her chair back and rises to her feet motioning for her to come the rest of the way in. Deacon gets up from his seat on the couch and walks over to Trish's desk.

Deacon Havok: Babe I'm gonna get out of here for a few, and go find Drake so you two can some girl talk.

Trish Stratus: Alright babe I'll catch ya later.

The couple share a quick romantic kiss before breaking a few minutes later. Deacon leaves the room as Kaylee gets comfortable in the chair directly in front of Trish's desk. Trish gives her one of the warm smiles that she reserved for the select few that she liked. And Kaylee definitely fit that category. The woman was like her sister. What she wanted to do was sit down and talk about her upcoming wedding but with her title defense coming up in a matter of hours her mind couldn’t stay focused on anything else. Trish couldn’t help but let out a sigh. Not from frustration or anger, but more of a mental preparation for the battle she was about to go through.

Kaylee Adams McKenzie:  Are you already to face Jeanette for your belt?

Trish Stratus: Ugh…don’t remind me. I swear to God that I’ve talked about nothing but this match for the last week. I’ve said Jeanette’s name more than I have even my own. (Kaylee laughs) It may be funny Kay, but it’s true. I tell ya once this match is over I’m not going to say her name for as long as I can avoid it.

Kaylee Adams McKenzie: Hate her that much already do you? Geesh Trish that’s a lot faster than it normally takes for you to hate someone. Especially when they’ve hardly said a damn thing. If I didn’t know better I’d swear someone was getting just a tad bit stressed over her wedding.

Trish Stratus: That’s beside the point. You know what this is don’t you? (Kaylee shakes her head) This is Chris’s way of trying to screw with me where I can’t do anything about it. Why on earth do you think he handed her the number one contender’s spot for my title when she was already booked to face Summer at Judgment Day? He’s trying to find a way to cost me my title on something that he’s in a control of.

Kaylee Adams McKenzie: That’s Chris, what do you expect? He don’t like the fact that you don’t bend over and kiss his ass like just about everyone else around here does and he’s going to try and take away something that means a lot to you in order to make your life hell for awhile.

Trish Stratus: Yea well he’s just going to have to try harder if he wants to make my life a living hell. Although having me defend the title against someone of Jeanette’s standards is a rather gifted move, it’s far from going to make my life hell. Chris of all people should know that by now.

Kaylee Adams McKenzie: Did you just say that Chris Michaels done something gifted? Lean over here, I want to feel your forehead.

Trish Stratus: My forehead feels fine, believe me. I despise him with every fiber in my being and you know that but even I have to admit that this is actually a good idea. Think about. He thinks by having me face her with my title on the line that’s a very good chance that I’m going to lose and on his show of all places. And knowing Chris like I do he’s already having a damn good laugh at the possibility.

Kaylee Adams McKenzie: Oh he probably is. He may have his head up his own as more times than not but even he’s noticed what Jeanette can do in the ring.

Trish Stratus: He’d have to be blind not to. She’s not exactly easy to over look. I’ve stood there and watched her matches and let me tell you that woman is amazing. You should watch her sometime. She can literally destroys anyone who steps into the ring with her. And here I thought beating Kurt was going to be the biggest match of my career…looks like I have a new match to take it’s place.

Kaylee Adams McKenzie: This is surprising. You actually talking like you have respect for someone other than your friends.

Trish Stratus: Hey, I’m not going to deny talent when I see it. I tell ya Kay, I definitely have my work cut out for me tonight with what I’ve seen from her matches. Not to be cocky or anything but she reminds me of me. It’s eerie.

Kaylee Adams McKenzie: Good news is at least you’re getting someone who actually knows what they’re doing and you won’t have to carry them to make the match at least tolerable. Besides Jeanette may be one of the best we have but with watching her in the ring you already know what to expect. It’s just a matter of staying away from her comfort zones.

Trish Stratus: Easier said than done, believe me. I swear she has a move for everywhere. Keeping her from being able to get one set up is definitely going to give me my exercise that’s for sure.

Trish lets out a sigh as she pushes her chair back just far enough that she can stand. Placing her arms on the arms of the chair she pushes herself up to her feet. She walks around the edge of her desk heading over to the couch.

Trish Stratus: You know what’s funny Kay, Jeanette is one of the most ambitious people we have and where has she been? Absolutely nowhere. She cut an interview with Grisham I’m told and never really said a whole lot. Don’t get me wrong I’m not knocking her or anything but I just find it weird that she’s worked her ass off to get an opportunity like this and she’s practically pissing it away. Maybe she’s one of those who don’t do much before the match.

Kaylee Adams McKenzie: She very well could be,  that way she can keep you from knowing what’s in her head. Or she could be trying to psyche you out. You can’t let her get to you or you could end up making a very costly mistake.

Trish looks over at Kaylee, she knew what Kaylee was telling her was right but she still couldn’t help but wonder. It wasn’t like Jeanette to be so scarcely seen when it came to promoting a match. Not that she was overly concerned. If Jeanette didn’t want a chance at the Intercontinental Title she’d be more than happy to keep it. It made an easier night for her anyway. Trish wasn’t at all pleased that Jeanette was given the shot anyway. Jeanette had competed for a chance at the Women’s Title, not the Intercontinental. Yet was still handed the match anyway. Oh well there wasn’t much she could do. The match was made and she was going to have to live with it. Feeling the cushion of the couch push down Trish looked up to see Kaylee seated next to her, giving her a look as if she was trying to figure out what was going on in Trish’s head. Not that she didn’t have a good idea of what it was. After all her and Trish had known each other for over five years…they knew each other like a book.

Kaylee Adams McKenzie: Alright, what gives? You’re not normally this quiet?Spill it!

Trish Stratus: Oh nothing. I find it irritating that she was handed the freaking shot in the first place. Maybe I’m looking at this wrong Kay but she was booked for a shot at the Women’s Title and because Chris gets put in charge of something she’s automatically handed a free title shot.

Kaylee lets out a small laugh hoping to ease some of Trish’s tension.

Kaylee Adams McKenzie: It’s Chris, what can you say? He’s always does whatever he knows will someone off and you know how much he enjoys pissing you off.

Trish Stratus: Do I ever! I swear I’m his favorite target in that department. Just think how pissed off he’s going to be when I beat the one person he wants to take my title. That would be more rewarding than it’s going to be actually pinning Jeanette.

Kaylee Adams McKenzie: I’ll leave that one up to you Trishy. I just wouldn’t let it bother you. Jeanette’s the one you have to keep your eye on and not Chris.

Trish Stratus: Oh trust me I’m more than got my eye on her. I kid you not from the second this match was made I’ve been keeping my eye on her. I’ve seen the tape of every match she’s had here. It may be sad but I might actually know her repertoire better than she does. I could compete in this match in my sleep if I had to.

Kaylee Adams McKenzie: Well I doubt you’ll have to do that (She laughs) As funny as it would be to see you compete in a match in your sleep.  I’m pretty sure Jeanette would prefer you to be awake.

Trish Stratus: You know what I mean. I wasn’t going to actually going to go through it in my sleep. Trust me I want to be fully awake for every minute of it, especially the ending (She smirks). I couldn’t rob myself of the pleasure of seeing myself pin her and retain my title could I? That would be horrible.

Kaylee Adams McKenzie: You never lose your sense of humor do you? You’re facing one of the most tough people in the company to beat and you’re still cracking jokes. If I didn’t know better I’d swear you were getting a little to cocky.

Trish Stratus: Me…to cocky? Never. You know me Kay, modest to a fault.

Kaylee Adams McKenzie: Yea right…I know you better than that.

Trish Stratus: Hey can I help it if I’m just so good  that she’s obviously intimidated. (Trish smirks)
Alright, time to be serious. I’m not being to cocky at all. Jeanette’s excellent when it comes to what she can do in the ring. Yet so am I. I’ve gotten through worse opponents than her. She’s had one real challenge since she’s been here, granted it was an impressive match but still it was only the one match. She’s definitely beatable. It’s just holding her back long enough to get it done and trust me…I can definitely do that.

Kaylee Adams McKenzie: Good Luck.

Trish Stratus: Not that I need it Kay but thanks.

Before Trish could say another word there was a knock on her door. Figuring it was Todd she let out a groan before calling for whoever was out there to come in. The door slowly opened and the head of security, Ricky, poked his head inside. He informed Trish that her match was coming up soon and the stage crew was wanting her down by the ring ready when it was time for her. Trish gave him a nod letting him know that she understood. Ricky slid his head back through the open door closing it behind him. Trish rose to her feet quietly making her way to the door. Pulling the door open she looked back over at Kaylee giving her a warm smile before stepping out into the hallway and heading down to the ring.
