August 15, 2007 Packard’s Grille Bar: Houston, Texas The scene opens at a bar somewhere in Houston Texas and as it does a black stretch limousine pulls into the parking lot coming to a stop in front of the door. As the engine dies the left front door opens and a middle aged man dressed in a plain black suit with a white dress shirt steps out and makes his way to the back, pulling the rear door open. Serenity Chambers slides out dressed in a small black dress. As she smoothes out her dress her best friend Rylie Turner slides out standing next to her. Serenity thanks the driver for his help as she breezes past him following Rylie to the door. As the two stepped inside they made their way across the large room over to a small booth at the back, taking notice of the obvious lack of customers. Rylie slide in first and Serenity took the seat across from her. Serenity picked up the drink list from the table looking it up and down, finally deciding what she wanted then handing it over to Rylie. Rylie gave the list a quick glance as the waitress came over to their table. Serenity ordered a martini while Rylie chose a glass of champagne. As the waitress disappeared to fill their orders Serenity leaned forward resting her elbows on the table, shooting Rylie a confused look. Serenity Chambers: Celebrating something are you? Rylie Turner: Getting an early start on one of us winning that Fatal Fourway Sunday and becoming the number one contender for Kat’s title. Serenity Chambers: Won’t be too hard, the only competition we’re going to have is each other and of course pain in the ass. Rylie laughed. Rylie Turner: She really gets under your skin doesn’t she? Serenity rolls her eyes and shakes her head. Serenity Chambers: If by getting under my skin you mean irritate the hell out of me then yes she gets under my skin. Rylie Turner: You know that’s what she wants, don’t you? Serenity Chambers: Not true. What she wants is to get into my head like she did Kat’s but it’s not going to happen. Rylie Turner: And why is that? Serenity Chambers: Because I’m not going to play into her little mind games that’s why. She can break into the locker room that I’m assigned to and destroy whatever and I’m not going to give a rat’s ass. She’s done it before and she saw where it got her?nowhere. Rylie Turner: Hold up, she broke into your locker room and destroyed your underwear and that didn’t piss you off? The waitress comes back to the table carrying their drinks. She sits the martini down in front of Serenity and the champagne in front of Rylie. Serenity reaches into her purse pulling out some money. She hands it to the waitress who soon disappears leaving them alone once again. Serenity takes a quick sip of hers then sits it back down on the table. Serenity snickered. Serenity Chambers: Pissed me off…no. More like irritated. All it was some childish prank to get me all riled up, that’s what Hailee does. She does stupid shit that kids do to get a rise out of whoever it is she’s sought out. Besides it was just underwear, why get upset about it? Rylie nodded in agreement. Serenity let out a sigh as she leaned back in her chair giving a glance around the room. Seeing no one of interest, she turned her attention back to Rylie who was sipping on her champagne. Serenity Chambers: You know, I wonder what’s going to happen if Blair Brooks doesn’t deem it important to show this time. Rylie shrugs. Rylie Turner: I guess it’s just the three of us. Serenity Chambers: Evidently. Hey if she doesn’t want a chance at the Women’s Title, I’ll be more than happy to take it. Rylie Turner: You and me both. Feeling the gaze of a few drunks Serenity and Rylie decided it was time to leave. They slide out of the booth making their way to the door. August 16, 2007 Marriott Hotel: Houston Texas Serenity pulls her rented car into the parking lot of the Reliant Stadium, gunning for the first space she can find. She spies one at the end of the first row and quickly pulls in. Killing the engine she grabs her purse from the passenger seat and opens the door. She steps out, closing the door behind her. Serenity makes her way up to the building showing the security guard on duty her company id. He gives her a nod then pulls the door open for her. Serenity steps inside heading down the hall where the locker rooms are located. She pauses, pulling a small piece of paper from her pocket out which gave her locker room assignment. She glanced at it for a few seconds before stuffing it back in her pocket. As she started on her way she heard a familiar voice calling her name. She turned around to see Todd Grisham heading towards her in a quick pace. Serenity leaned against the cold concrete wall waiting for Todd to catch up to her. As he got closer she saw the microphone in his hand, knowing what he wanted. Finally as Todd caught up to her Serenity pushed herself off the wall. Todd Grisham: Excuse me Serenity; I was hoping to get a quick interview with you about your match. Serenity sighs. Serenity Chambers: Very well Todd, hurry it up I have things to do. Todd raised his microphone up to his lips. Todd Grisham: Ladies and Gentlemen, I’m standing here with WGEF Diva Serenity Chambers who, Sunday Night, will compete against Hailee Matthews, Rylie Turner and Blair Brooks in a Fatal Fourway Match where the winner will win a future shot at the Women’s Title. (Todd turns towards Serenity) Now Serenity, my first question is this. You have never competed in a match of this magnitude, can you tell us how you’re feeling? Serenity Chambers: How should I feel? Scared because this is something new? I’ve got news for you Todd it doesn’t. I welcome the match. Why you ask? Todd Grisham: Well, actually? Serenity Chambers: Good because I was going to tell you anyway. The reason I welcome this match is because I’m finally getting my chance to prove to everyone in the back that I’m not some bimbo taught to walk and talk a certain way. That I’m capable of stepping into that ring and delivering a performance like the veteran divas can. Todd Grisham: Your best friend Rylie Turner will also be in this match. How do you feel about facing her? Serenity Chambers: Rylie and I are both fine with it. And why shouldn’t we? We’re both professionals here, we just happen to be gunning for the same thing. Todd Grisham: Your former nemesis Hailee Matthews resurfaced the very day the Fatal Fourway was announced, just after you in fact, throwing her name into the hat as well. It’s been well documented that you and Hailee had a short but bitter feud almost a year, which ended in a draw. Will her presence in the ring distract you in anyway from your goal of becoming the number one contender or will you still be able to retain focus? Serenity Chambers: You know something Todd, I may be blonde but my mind can focus on more than one thing at a time. Not only will I be focusing my attention on becoming the new number one contender but I will also be focused on ridding myself of Hailee Matthews and taking the one thing away from her she wants- a shot at Kat Sanders for the Women’s Title. Todd Grisham: Speaking of Kat Sanders. Her and Hailee met up last week on Raw, in what could be an early preview for you. In that match Hailee played several mind games on Kat in an attempt to throw her off her guard. Given yours and Hailee’s history, do you think you will susectible to Hailee’s mind games? Serenity snickers. Serenity Chambers: Absolutely not. Like you pointed out, Hailee and I have a history together which pretty stands to reason that we’re aware of what the other will do. Hailee knows that I’m not going to fall for her little games and give her the reaction she wants, but hey if she wants to try anyway that’s her prerogative. It’s her time to waste not mine. She can do what she wants and destroy what she wants and my reaction will be the same. I’m here to win this match and walk out the number one contender and nothing Hailee’s going to do is going to derail that. Todd Grisham: We’ve yet to cover the third and final opponent you’ll be facing, that being Blair Brooks. Just last week Blair received a warning for missing an appearance on Smackdown, how do you think that will impact your match at Summer Slam? Serenity Chambers: (in an annoyed tone) Well gee Todd, I guess it become a triple threat match then won’t it? Todd Grisham: Well. I was wondering?. Serenity Chambers: Let me guess you want to know how I think it will affect my chances if Blair decides she no longer wants a Women’s Title shot? Todd nods. Serenity Chambers: I couldn’t give a rat’s ass whether she shows up or not. My chances will be the same no matter what. Just the fact that she hasn’t bothered to show her face since she decided to take this opportunity should pretty much prove that she has no intention of showing up Sunday night either. Face it Blair cares about nothing but laying on her back with her legs spread for any man looking for an alright time. Now if you don’t mind I have more pressing things to do than stand here and answer your stupid questions. Without giving Todd a chance to reply Serenity turned around and continued down the hall leaving Todd staring after her with a dumbfounded look on his face as the scene faded to black. |
