Next Match: Royal Rumble Match

After her win on Smackdown Serenity made her way through the thick black curtain her body still dripping with sweat from her match against her brother in law Matt Steel and Drake Striker. As she breezed through the thick black fabric she stepped onto a smaller steel stage that contained the usual lighting switchboard and player for the superstars?entrance music. As her theme music continued to play over the p.a. system Serenity made her way across the small crowded stage offering a friendly smile to the small bunch of middle aged men seated around the table before stepping off the end of the stage onto a small set of stairs. She made her way through the makeshift entryway, which consisted of nothing more than steel poles formed together in an arch with tarps covering the top. Moments later she emerged with a big smile on her face. She knew most people in her position wouldn’t care over a mediocre win like that but she put on one of her best performances and that made her happy. She made her way down the hall humming quietly to herself as she searched for a towel to wipe at least some of the still dripping sweat off her body. As she continued down the hall she swallowed, noticing the slight stinging sensation. Up until now she hadn’t realized her throat was near that dry. As she walked around the corner she came across the catering area. Feeling the burning in her throat once more she decides to make her way over to the catering area. She heads to the room making her way through the open doorway. As she steps inside she sees several round tables throughout the surprisingly decent sized room. Worn out from her tag team match she decided to have a seat for a little while. She heads over to the food line. Walking clear down to the end where a large white cooler was positioned. She lifted the lid and reached inside, pulling out a water bottle. She quickly wipes the bottle across her forehead, enjoying the icy cold feeling against her hot skin. After slightly cooling off she made her way over to table and was just about to sit down when her eyes caught sight of the clock. It was 11:30. If she wanted to get to the airport at a decent time and not have to run through the terminal then she had best forget sitting and down and be getting back to her locker room to get her stuff. Serenity let out a loud sigh as she gave the chair a hard shove back against the table. She was looking forward to those moments alone. Oh well, it was life. What could she do about it anyway? Sit there for as long as her heart desired and fly into New York in the morning half awake or head back now and actually get some sleep. Considering she was worn out, she opted for the latter of the two. That didn’t mean she had to like it. As she stepped back through the doorway she headed in the direction of her locker room with her water bottle still tightly in hand. Moments later she finally arrived at her locker room. She wrapped her hand around the knob, twisting it slightly to the right and shoving it inward. As she stepped inside the room her eyes scanned the room as if she suspected something to be out of place. When she was satisfied she stepped further inside giving the door a gentle shove closed. The coolness of the water bottle had worn off and the sweat had returned. Serenity made her way across the room to the bathroom. God how a shower would feel nice right about now. She looked up at the clock that hung above the door. 11:35. Her flight didn’t leave for another couple hours yet and the airport was relatively close. Besides she really didn’t care to go on the Tonight Show smelling like God knows what. No, it was worth possibly having to rush through the airport to get in a quick shower. She steps inside the bathroom, starting the water. Pulling the shower curtain across she quickly headed across the room grabbing a pair of worn blue jeans and a plain black t-shirt along with a matching pair of black lacey bra and panties. Making her way across the room she headed back into the bathroom, getting out of her clothes. She stepped inside the shower leaning back underneath the water, closing her eyes as it poured over her. After a quick once over with the soap she finally consented to getting out. She reached around behind her twisting the knobs to the off position. As the water slowly started to trickle, she reached her hand out grabbing a towel off the rack and wrapping it around her dripping wet body. Moments later Serenity stepped onto the rug quickly getting dressed in the clothes she had taken in the bathroom with her. She emerged from the bathroom hurrying across the room to the couch where she had laid her gym bag when she arrived. She quickly checked to make sure everything was there before zipping it closed and flinging it upon her shoulder. She raced down the hall towards the parking lot where she had a limo waiting to take her to the airport, As she approached the parking lot; she saw the limo waiting right outside. She shoved the doors open and headed towards it. She breathlessly gave the driver a thank you as he pulled out of the parking lot. Serenity closed her eyes careful not to fall asleep as they headed towards the airport. The ride was so smooth it was hard to stay awake. About twenty minutes later the limo pulled in front of the airport. Serenity didn’t even wait for the driver to come around to the back before opening the door and rushing towards the terminal. Once inside she quickened her pace to a run as she headed for the gate her flight was on. When she finally reached it, Serenity was just about out of breath. She fished around inside her bag for her ticket, finally finding it at the bottom. She handed the ticket to the attendant and was quickly let inside. Moments she reached her seat and plopped down. Serenity leaned her head against the back of the seat tuning out the direction from the stewardess. She had a big match coming up soon and that is where her mind was going to be. She closed her eyes and drifted into thought.

Serenity’s Thoughts: I know this match is one of the biggest ever and to be in it is an honor in itself but I want to finally show people that I’m not the bimbo that just about everyone here seems to think I am. Okay, I admit that I haven’t had the biggest list of achievements in here but I’m in no way a bimbo! I didn’t exactly throw myself out there and demand the attention I should be getting. That was my mistake. I sat in the shadows for far to long waiting for the right time and place to make myself known and that time is now. No more wasting time by sitting there and waiting to be given an opportunity to beat the true bimbos who think they are divas. Please! They wouldn’t know the meaning of the word if it jumped up and bit them on the ass. Looking at what few divas is even in this match, its evident the wannabes have finally wised up and decided not to waste anyone’s time. It’s a shame because I was looking forward to beating them within an inch of their life and tossing them over the top rope like the trash they are. Just by looking at that list, Summer is going to be the one diva wise to give me trouble. Considering my history with her this could prove to be a problem. I’ve faced her once that I know of and I lost. I can’t believe I lost that. Summer is good I’ll give her that but I know I can beat her. I just need to apply myself better. Trust me that won’t be a problem at all. I want more than anything to prove to that bitch that she’s not near as great as she thinks she is. Of course one would think she’d have gotten the hint when she lost her precious Women’s Title back to Kat Sanders. It just goes to show that Miss Fox isn’t exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer. I couldn’t help but see that she’s taking her rematch against Kat for the Women’s Title. Poor Summer must really feel lost without having a title around her waist. Either that or desperate. She’s already got her rematch and she’s going for a second shot? I guess one could figure that to be genius but this is Summer we’re talking about here?.she doesn’t exactly scream the word. Now if I said any of this to where the so called Queen could hear it I’d get a parade of bitching to last a week and quite frankly I don’t care to hear the sound of her voice for that long. I’d much rather enjoy the peace?at least for now. I’m sure that’s going to be one of the questions from Jay when I’m there. Hooray for me! Not that I wasn’t expecting him to bring up our past history but I had my hopes. (Serenity adjusted herself in her seat) Let’s see who else do I have? Oh yes…Phoenix Winterborn. The man who has nothing better to do than go down to the ring and run his mouth like he’s actually someone around here. The only thing he is, is a joke. One look at his record will prove that. Yet he feels the need to call out Michael Harris, like he’s some big shot. Hey if that’s what it takes to make him feel all warm and fuzzy inside than whatever. Me…I prefer to keep my opponents at a distance. I want them guessing what I’m going to do and when, not choose one and call them out like an idiot. Yet he calls him out there because he doesn’t like Harris calling himself the greatest wrestler alive. It is stupid, I’ll give Phoenix that much. As much as I hate to agree with him, when he’s right…he’s right. Just the thought of saying he’s right sends shivers up my spine. Harris is far from the greatest wrestler alive, he’s far from the greatest wrestler in this company. Come to think of it, him and Summer would make a great couple. Both of them think they are the great person to ever walk the planet. I feel sorry for their poor kids having them as parents. Harris, so far hasn’t taken much notice of me. Although he did make some rather nice comments about me. Not only am I very talented but there’s main event status in me. Guess even the most delusional people notice talent when they see it. To bad I don’t share the same feelings about him. Sure he’s talented but he’s nowhere as great as he thinks he is. The man is not god after all. Yet I can’t help but wonder he doesn’t view as more of a threat if he thinks so highly of me. Perhaps he doesn’t view me as a threat or perhaps he has his nose to far up Trish and Deacon’s asses to really give a shit about anything else. (She giggles quietly) That was a rather humorous image but it’s entirely true. Ever since the man has come back he’s been on their asses like a diaper just because he’s got this inferiority complex over losing to Deacon last year. The guy seriously needs to get over it. Big time! Yet he hangs on to it like it’s going to matter to anyone. I’m sure Deacon and Trish are having a nice laugh at it. I know I would if it were me. Harris turns his back on a friend, I guess, because he doesn’t care for who she’s dating? How lame is that? Looks like someone has a thing for the boss. He’ll deny it naturally but the facts are all there. She isn’t in the match much less have anything to do with it yet he’s making it all about her and even blaming her for him getting the 9th spot. You picked the spot dumbass; you don’t like it try getting some better luck. Speaking of delusional, SVD also comes to mind. The man really believes he is going to win the Royal Rumble. Yea right. He’s going to win that the exact same day that I win the Miss America Pageant. And since I don’t plan on entering ever it’s highly unlikely that’s ever going to happen. I could be nice and tell SVD he doesn’t have a shot in the dark at winning but first of all he’d never believe me and second of all why crush his hopes so early. Besides he’s more concerned about comparing this Royal Rumble to the WWE’s?no one cares buddy. We’re well aware that going in at number one and going all the way through is hard, that’s what makes it unique. Very few men have been able to do it. Now I’m guessing because he drew number 17, he thinks he has some sort of advantage over Deacon. Okay I don’t know the man at all really and even I know that’s not possible. Someone needs a big dose of reality here?really bad. At least he has enough to know that there are some people that are a threat to him. Harris is definitely going to be one of them, but Michael Mixx ?I don’t know.  The man hasn’t really done anything for anyone to be concerned about. So far he’s face one opponent and the guy didn’t even show up. In all fairness, that wasn’t his control but still the guy didn’t show. Doesn’t exactly give me a reason to make him a threat. Maybe I shouldn’t write him off so soon. Oh my god, I just agreed with two idiots on the same flight. I really need to a psychiatrist when I get off this plane. But seriously I think SVD may have a point here. After all there have been times I’ve been wrote off myself. This guy could actually be worth something. Most likely not a whole lot, but still he’s worth taking even a little bit seriously. The same thing goes for Lexi Larvey and JBL. JBL, I at least know a little something about so I can at least be prepared for, but Lexi?I have nothing. The woman hasn’t even done any sort of debut for me to get some sort of idea on. It’s Chantal all over again. If this woman is anything like Chantal then I need to be on my A Game and be ready for anything. But enough about her and onto someone important. Let’s see who do I have left to consider?oh yes Deacon Havok! How on earth could I forget him? After all he is the man to beat in this thing isn’t he? I know it’s been said a half a dozen times already but he might as well have a big bull’s eye painted on his back. The man won the Royal Rumble last year and entered as number one this year. And here I thought Michael Harris was the one who needed luck. Or was that something else? Oh hell, it’s not important anymore. I’m guessing all of that is supposed to put some sort of fear into me…sorry but it doesn’t. Not that Deacon gives a rat’s ass what I think or say anyway. To be honest, I doubt he even knows I’m in the match. Oh well, it will just make it that much more surprising when I finally get off this god forsaken flight and make my appearance on the Tonight Show. His main focus is on Harris anyway. God it’s like that guy is golden around here, everyone spends all their free time worrying over him and plotting on how to take him out. Not me. I think he’s a complete dip shit who needs to quit spending so much time in front of the mirror admiring himself. Deacon, is where my money is. He’s got the most to lose in this match so he’s going to be fighting twice if not three times as hard to get through. If I get my shot at Harris…fine but I’m focusing the majority of my attention on Deacon. If I have any intent of actually winning this thing I might as well aim as high as possible. Him I actually respect. Not because he’s huge and could quite frankly squash me easy or banging the boss but because he’s actually busted his ass since he came back for the second time. I know he wouldn’t expect to hear me say that, or anyone for that matter. Everyone else has all but said they can beat him easy, if that were the case he wouldn’t be one of the biggest superstars this company has had. Not that I’m sitting here kissing his ass, I’m only stating the truth. As good as he is, he made one very valuable mistake. He’s not taking me seriously as he should be. And why?because he wants to make Trish happy by eliminating Michael Harris. Maybe that’s not the real reason but I’d be willing to bet anything that it’s at least a good part of it. He always seems to have his lips planted to her ass anyway. I get the man loves her but really dude taking care of everyone who bothers her is a little weird. Maybe because my own husband wouldn’t do anything like that for me if I had anyone to bother me, but still kind of creeps me out. Evidently it gets her all wet and excited, so hey it works. Me, I’m just happy that he at least sees me as a possible threat. Not exactly what I was hoping for but I can take care of that sooner or later. If I wasn’t so damn tired I might actually sit up and laugh at that. Someone who possess a possible threat?.please! I possess more than a possible threat there buddy, it’s a guaranteed threat. You want that shot at Mania then I’m going to make sure you work for it as hard as humanly possible. I’m not going to lay down like some little bitch. My name is Serenity Chambers, not Lita and  Kasey Winterborn just to name a couple. I may not have the reputation behind me as what Lita has?her reputation in the ring not the fact that she’s a whore. I need to make that clear before that slips somewhere down the line. I wouldn’t want someone thinking I want to be a whore.

Serenity was awaken by the sound of the stewardess coming over the p.a., she forced her eyes open as she lifted her head from its comfortable position on the headrest. She was still half asleep but she was able to make out that the plane was about to land at the airport. Fascinating. Now she could get off this dreadful flight, answer some stupid question from a man who was one step away from the old folk’s home and relax a bit. As she disappears behind the curtain as the plane started to descend. After a half hour it finally hit the ground sending everyone flying forward in their seats then slamming against the back seconds later. The plane coasted along the runway eventually coming to a smooth stop in front of the gate. Flight attendants gathered up front as the announcement was made for everyone to begin getting off the plane. Unfastening their seatbelts Serenity rose to her feet. As usual people pointed and stared as they made her way through the terminal. She made a quick stop off at the baggage claim to grab her black gym bag before heading through the lobby to the waiting limo. After having a bag boy grab the bags Deacon joined her inside the limo as the limo driver and bag boy loaded everything into the trunk. After twenty minutes everything was in the trunk. The limo shut the trunk and headed around to the front. He climbed in the driver’s seat and turned on the engine. After a couple of minutes he pulled out of the parking lot and into traffic. An hour and a half later they finally reach the arena to a large group of fans clustered at the top of the back drive. The limo driver fights through it eventually getting through and continuing on to the rear entrance door. The limo came to a stop just in front of the door. The driver got out and walked around to the back, he opened the rear door. He reached his hand inside helping Serenity out. As she rose to her feet she looked over at him, offering a quick thank you before making her way up to the TV station.

Next Match: Royal Rumble Match

The scene reopened about an hour later. Serenity’s limo had reached the TV station where the Tonight Show broadcasted from and was pulling into the parking lot. As it did the large crowd that had gathered outside crammed around the windows trying to see who was inside. Serenity rolled her eyes muttering something under her breath as they pressed against the glass. The limo crept through the crowd finally coming to a stop just in front of the rear entrance.  The driver’s door opened and a middle aged man dressed in a plain black suit with a white dress shirt stepped out. He walked around to the rear door, grabbing the handle and pulling it open.  As she steps inside the building she sees a small square reception desk a short ways down the hall. She pauses long enough to adjust her purse on her shoulder before heading towards it.  When she reaches the desk she sees the receptionist is on the phone, she leans across the desk trying her best to be patient for her to finish the call. A few moments pass and the receptionist finishes her call. She places the receiver back on the hook before looking at Serenity with an annoyed look on her face.

Receptionist: Is there something I can help you with?

Serenity Chamber: First of all lose the attitude sweetie, I deal with that shit all day and I don’t need to put up with it from you. Now I’m here to appear on the Tonight Show. I just had a long flight and I’m tired so save me the bullshit and tell where the studio is.

Receptionist: Your name please.

Serenity Chambers: Serenity Chambers.

The receptionist turned her attention away from Serenity grabbing a clipboard from on top of her desk. She lays it down in front of her flipping to the page for the Tonight Show’s guests. After flipping through a few pages she finds and begins scrolling down the list of names on the piece of paper attached to it. As she continues to scroll up and down the list of names Serenity starts tapping her nails on the desk in an irritated fashion. Finally the receptionist finds her name towards the middle of the list and lays the clipboard back down on the desk.

Receptionist: Okay, you go down the hallway behind me till you reach the end. There you will find a hallway running horizontally, turn right and go about halfway down to the elevators. Press three and it will take you to the right floor. Once the doors open, turn to the left  keep going till you reach the end. There you will come across a steel door with the Tonight Show logo on it, just tap on the door and they’ll let you in and take it from there.

Serenity flashes her, her usual smart ass grin before pushing her small frame off the desk.

Serenity Chambers: See that wasn’t so hard was it? I guess finding good help isn’t just a problem in the wrestling business.

Before the receptionist could respond Trish walks past the reception desk making her way down the lengthy hallway following the directions the receptionist gave her. The hallway seemed to go on forever. After what seemed like a good hour Serenity finally reach the elevators. She stepped inside pressing the number 3 button. A few seconds later the doors reopened. Serenity stepped out into the hall once again following the receptionist direction. A few moments pass and she finally came upon a solid steel gray door. The receptionist hadn’t given her the color but the Tonight’s Show’s logo was on the door so at least she had gotten the right one. She raised her hand up knocking as loudly as possible so anyone standing on the other side would hear her. Moments later the heavy door swung open and a young man with semi curly brown hair stood on the other side. She politely gave him her name. He nodded and ushered her inside. He leads her down a smaller hallway than the one she had just came down, to a small room. The room was almost empty except for a director’s style chair positioned almost directly in the center of the room. In front of the chair was a large oval mirror with the world’s biggest collection of makeup that Serenity had ever seen. Serenity steps inside the room making her way over to the makeup chair. She lifts herself up into the chair getting comfortable as the young gentlemen excuses himself. She had no idea who he was or what he did but he was awfully nice. As she waited for the makeup artist to finally get there, she scanned the room looking for something to amuse herself with. On the far wall was a picture of Jay Leno and Serenity couldn’t help but notice it. He had a rather goofy smile on his face. If that was his normal disposition she already wasn’t going to enjoy herself. She studied the picture for a few seconds longer when her cell phone started to ring. She reached into the pocket of her of her blue jeans pulling out her silver RAZR. She flips it open seeing her husband AC’s number on the caller id screen. She presses the accept button as she raises the phone up to her ears and starts to speak.

Serenity Chambers: Hey babe, what’s up?

AC Steel: Not much really it’s just that I haven’t seen you in a few days and I was wondering where you were.

Serenity Chambers: I told you a few days ago I was flying out to New York after Smackdown. Didn’t you pay a single bit of attention to anything I said?

AC Steel: I do Seren. I just forgot that’s all…geesh something crawl up your ass or something?

Serenity Chambers: No I don’t have something up my ass; I’m just bored that’s all. I’ve been sitting here with nothing to look but a ridiculous picture until the makeup artist decides to show up. My interview is coming up and I don’t have all day to wait on her ass.

AC Steel: You done anything to prepare for the Royal Rumble yet?

Serenity Chambers: Well yes, that’s what this interview is for. You don’t seriously think I’d fly to New York right after a match just to shoot the breeze with Jay Leno do you?

AC Steel: Okay you really need to calm down there hun?this is me you’re talking to not some pain in the ass reporter asking you idiotic questions.

Serenity Chambers: I know who I’m talking to AC. I just can’t help but find it a tad bit odd that you’re asking me if I’ve done anything for the Royal Rumble when you haven’t done anything in months.

AC Steel: I have so; I’ve been in the gym training for weeks. I just asked because Summer sent out a letter to everyone in the Rumble match and I didn’t know if you seen yours before you left.

Serenity Chambers: Letter…what on earth are you talking about? I never seen any letter before I left but knowing Summer it can’t be anything good. So, to save me the trouble of reading it when I get back.

AC Steel: From what I can tell from scanning it, it’s nothing but her usual bullshit saying how great she is and crap like that. Of course she went through a few of the entrants telling them just what she thinks of them. Lucky me I was one of them.

Serenity Chambers: (In a curious tone) Oh really now, exactly what did she say?

AC Steel: It seems that I’m retarded now, right along with not being important because she didn’t remember my name.

Serenity Chambers: I’d be singing songs of praise if she didn’t remember my name. Just the one time she said it was bad enough to live with. The thought of seeing her face in that ring just makes me sick to my stomach.

AC Steel: Well lucky for you she didn’t mention you at all.

Serenity Chambers: This truly is a day for celebration isn’t it? Summer Fox actually done something and didn’t mention my name. I guess she forgot all about our last encounter which surprises me since she won. Maybe her mind’s slipping, I don’t know. Gee, I wonder if I should feel left out that she didn’t even so much as mention my name.

AC Steel: As much as you like the fact that she didn’t mention you even the slightest bit and you’re wondering if you should feel left out because she didn’t mention you? I haven’t the slightest idea why you would other than pure sarcasm.

Serenity Chambers: What other point would there be? I mean seriously?I’m her biggest competitor diva wise and ……nothing. I can’t help but the least bit curious. Speaking of curiosity, who did she mention?

AC Steel: Deacon and Michael Harris for starters. Me, David, Jamie, Flair Kasey Winterbourne and Lexi Larvey and Shawn Michaels I believe.

Serenity Chambers: Okay, I see what she’s doing. She’s giving her thoughts on the ones she doesn’t think will give her any or much competition and just throwing Deacon and Harris in there so its not as obvious, no offense babe but you haven’t exactly done anything to give anyone any competition.

No sooner had Serenity finished the sentence, the door to the room opened. A woman who looked to be in her early fifties stepped inside. Serenity took her attention off her phone call to acknowledge the woman before returning back to it. She quickly informed AC that the makeup artist was there and she needed to go. After saying a quick goodbye she flipped her phone closed and stuffed it back into her pocket. She quickly turned her head around giving the make up artist instructions on how she wanted her hair and make up. The woman simply nodded as she went right to work. After what seemed like an eternity she finally announced that she was finished. Serenity looked into the mirror letting out a sigh of relief as she rolled her eyes. She slid out of the chair turning around to face the woman. Serenity offered a smirk as if it to it’s about time. She was about to offer a comment when the door to her locker room opened. The semi curly blonde haired man who led her into the room earlier had returned. He poked his head inside to inform her that the show was about to start and her spot was going to be first. The smirk disappeared from her face and was soon replaced with a polite smile. Ignoring the makeup artist a few feet away from her, she made her way across the room following him out the door. He leads her left and right through out the hallway being told to be friendly towards Jay, laugh at his lame jokes and answer as politely and thorough as she could. Serenity rolls her eyes in annoyance at his back, she knew what her job was and didn’t him telling her how to do it. She was there to promote this Sunday’s pay per view, The Royal Rumble, and sell it the best she could. Finally they reach the studio where the Tonight Show broadcasts from. He leads her to a plain blue curtain and instructs her that Jay will be ready for her in a minute. Serenity nods staring at a small TV screen hanging from the ceiling. Jay was doing his usual opener with the wacky headlines he had been submitted.  One referred to someone reporting a large pile of crap sitting on top of a trashcan. Serenity almost gagged at the sound of it.  After a few more lame jokes, Jay announces Serenity’s name as his first guest.

Jay Leno: Joining us tonight all the way from the World’s Greatest E-Federation, a woman who this Sunday will be competing at their company’s pay per view Royal Rumble will be competing in the thirty man battle royal…please welcome Serenity Chambers.

“Dirrty?by Christina Aguilera plays over the p.a. system as Serenity makes her way onto the stage. She smiles and waves at all the fans that are cheering for her. She smiles as she walks up to the desk where Jay gives her a hug and a kiss on the cheek. She blushes slightly as she takes a seat in the chair beside Jay’s desk as Jay lowers himself to the chair behind his desk. The music slowly starts to fade and the fans do as well as the interview gets underway.

Jay Leno:  You’re such a beautiful woman, way to beautiful to be getting in the ring and wrestle with men. I’ve seen some of the men that are in that business and someone such as yourself could be setting themselves up for serious injury in a match like this.

Serenity Chambers: I appreciate the compliment Jay, it’s not often I hear that I’m beautiful from someone other than my husband.

Jay Leno: Husband huh? (Raises an eyebrow) And who may I ask is the lucky guy?

Serenity Chambers: AC Steel. You know Jay, my husband is also competing in the Royal Rumble as well. In fact he’s drew the number right before I did.

Jay Leno: That is quite a coincidence drawing the number right after your husband. Now I have to ask you, is it at all weird to be competing in the same match as your husband or is it just business as usual for you?

Serenity Chambers: Are you sure you didn’t work for the WGEF at some point? (She laughs) I’m only kidding of course. It’s funny you asked that because I get questions like that every day, more along the lines of ‘would you take it easy on your husband?than anything else. But to answer your question, it’s not weird for me at all. I’m in this for nothing more than a chance to get a shot at the Women’s Title whether my husband shows up for the match or not.

Jay Leno: You’ve definitely got the right frame of mind for this match and considering that a lot of the participants in this match are men you really have to be. Speaking of which, I’ve been taking a look at what a few of your opponents have had to say so far. It seems that all of them are focusing on Deacon Havok, the winner of last year’s Royal Rumble. Is he in any way a target for you?

Serenity Chambers: When is he not a target? The man won last year’s Royal Rumble. He’s going to be on the top of everyone’s elimination list and he’s well aware of the fact I’m sure. The thing is there are other superstars in this match to focus on other than Deacon. Most of the people who’ve promoted this match in the slightest have focused on nothing but him and that’s where they’re going to make their mistakes. You’ve got people like me and unfortunately Summer Fox who are more than capable of doing the damage that Deacon can. Yet do they notice?no. They spend all their free time worrying about eliminating someone who quite frankly is out of their league. Not exactly the smartest move they could have made.

Jay Leno: Let me see if I got this right, you’ve never competed in a match like this before and with this many people at one time. A match like this has to take quite a toll on one person’s body. Exactly how do you prepare yourself for a match like this?

Serenity Chambers: Just the same as any match really as far as the competition side goes. But with this match there’s a whole lot more to it than that. Depending on the number each person draws they not only have to prepare themselves to compete against each and every person in the match but they also have to prepare themselves to last longer than what they would in a typical match. That’s where a lot of people have the trouble. They don’t give any thought into how long they’ll be in the ring. They focus on one person and getting them out of there. For them it’s nothing more than a one on one match until they’ve accomplished their goal and then they move onto someone else.

Jay Leno: I see here that you and Summer Fox, have had a somewhat small history together. Something involving a doll making factory and real life Barbie of you. What happened there?

Serenity Chambers: You’ll have to forgive me Jay, it’s been awhile so I’m a little fuzzy on the details But from what I can remember Summer thought I was some sort of clone taught to say the exact same thing as all the new people coming in were saying. To prove her little point she went to a factory, where my cousin just so happens to work, and had the woman giving the tour show how they move and are programmed to talk and somewhere in her naïve little mind that reminded her of me. Anyway to make a long story short she twisted the dolls leg in a way it wasn’t intended to be twisted and it snapped off like a twig and that was her big way of proving to everyone just how easy she was going to beat me.

Jay Leno: She did end up beating you didn’t she?

Serenity Chambers: Yes as a matter of fact she did but Miss Fox had to do something she hasn’t done very often in the past and that’s actually work for a win.  Trust me that didn’t set well with her either. She’s gotten to much in the habit of going into a match and picking up a win by beating some wannabe fresh out of training. With me she actually had to dig deep to get that win.

Jay Leno: With her evoking her rematch clause against Kat Sanders for the Women’s Title at the same event, do you think she pay as much attention this match as you are for a possible second chance if she weren’t able to beat Kat or do you think this will be her main focus?

Serenity Chambers: Well if it is than she is truly dumber than I have ever given her credit for simply because Kat has yet to show for the Women’s Title match. Kat’s time to appear by is quickly dwindling down and her second title reign right along with it. Summer has pretty much got an easy win right there. If she overlooks that match just because she’s out to redeem herself and take another stab at beating Deacon that she truly is stupid. Yes beating Deacon would be a nice trophy for her but she’s got a free shot at the Women’s Title which would be her prize if she wins the Royal Rumble. Summer may be a lot of things but I can’t see her being that stupid.

Jay Leno: I can’t help but notice that Summer seems to be your biggest target in this match. Does that have anything to do with her holding a win over you or could it be she’s your strongest opponent diva wise?

Serenity Chambers: Surprisingly both. Like you said, other than myself Summer is the strongest diva wise so naturally I’m going to be watching her every move like a hawk looking for my opportunity to not only toss her ass right over that top rope but to rip away her one chance of getting a second shot at the Women’s title. Payback and Karma are both a bitch.

Jay Leno: So far you’ve been over looked by everyone who has already done any sort of promotion for the upcoming pay per view, surely that’s got to be playing on your mind.

Serenity Chambers: Oh it’s definitely on my mind. (Serenity laughs) Can I seriously help if this company is filled with fools? They’re worried about Deacon?for a good reason. Summer who’s only contribution is some pathetic letter to make herself to appear more like that goddess that she thinks she is. Wow…I think I’m actually scared here. (She laughs) Oh wait that was sarcasm. If worrying about someone like Summer isn’t bad enough then you have guys like Batista who think there’s a chance that either SVD or Ric Flair have a chance in hell of being the last one in the ring. The day that happens and everyone else might as well retire and call it a day because it’s not going to be worth it anymore.

Jay Leno: Well Serenity I want to wish you the best of luck this Sunday. Remember you can order the Royal Rumble at nine o’clock eastern time live on pay per view. Serenity, thank you again for coming by. Coming up a performance by Maroon Five?stay tuned.

The camera pulls away from the two as Jay shakes Serenity’s hand thanking her for appearing on his show. Serenity mouths the words no problem and it was her pleasure to do it. As the show heads into one of its many commercial break, Serenity exits the stage heading in the direction of the dressing room. She stops in long enough to grab her purse from its spot on the back of the chair, flinging it on her shoulder and making her way out of the small room and down the hall to the elevator as the scene fades to black.

Next Match: Royal Rumble Match

Summer really was dense wasn’t she? Thinking I’m cliché. Wouldn’t have been cliché if it come out of her mouth, now would have it? Oh no! If it had been her then it would have been the perfect thing to say. I know she thinks her little magazine interview is going to get under my skin but she’s sadly mistaken. Because as I sit here reading this mindless dribble it makes me laugh. She’s the only one who believes the shit she spews out anyway. Rambling on about me only getting on Jay Leno because it was the only one who’d take me. Please. David Letterman is okay but Jimmy Kimmel…gag me. I’ve watched that man’s show and trust me the only one who’d go on his show is a complete idiot. Yet to say even half of what she said about me says that for itself. Look at this crap. Evidently everything I say is mindless dribble and hers is complete brilliance. Yea, I know. I’ve heard the story millions and millions of times before. The woman raves about herself so much that even a prude doesn’t talk about themselves that much. She wants to talk about me being cliché then she really needs to give herself a nice long look. Okay I admit I used one line. For the love of all things holy call the cops and have my ass arrested for saying something that someone else has said those same words before. Thank god Summer hasn’t gained the ability to read thoughts or I’d be guilty of saying something else cliché or perhaps even mindless dribble. Now if nineteen ninety nine called and are sick of me, I sure as hell hope that nineteen seventy three called and told Summer they are sick of her holier than thou ass. I did find her comment about me rather amusing to say the least. Supposedly I’m bitter and twisted because I got beaten by the best of the best. Hmmmmm…interesting. I hadn’t realized that I competed against the likes of Chris Michaels or even Deacon Havok himself for that matter. Evidently I slept through that match or Summer is more delusional than I ever thought she was. And I’m the one that needs to give over it before I give myself a cardiac arrest. Whatever floats the poor woman’s boat. If anyone’s looking old and ragged, it’d be her. Having your head up your own ass on a constant basis takes its toll on one’s body and judging by how you’re looking there Summer its really doing quite a number on you. It really is a going to be quite a shame for you. Here you are going to have to get a really good plastic surgeon to take care of all those wrinkles and the aging. In fact while you’re at it you might want to take a stop by the cardiologist and have him take a look at your heart. Wrestling at your age, or as old as you look, really isn’t good for you. Really does suck to be you doesn’t it?

The scene opened in the backstage and as it does we see a black limo pulls into the parking lot of the American Airlines Arena, where the Royal Rumble  is set to air live in just a matter of a few hours in front of a sold out crowd. The limo pulls through the parking lot coming to a stop in front of the rear entrance doors. As the engine goes quiet the left front door opens and a middle aged man dressed in a plain black suit with a white dress shirt steps out. He walks around to the back pulling the door open. A pair of women’s legs emerge from inside touching the pavement below. Moments later the occupant slides the rest of the way out rising to a standing position. The camera slowly pans up their legs revealing the person to be Serenity Chambers Steel. Serenity stretched her legs and straightened her baby blue T-shirt as she waited for the limo driver to return with her gym bag. A few moments pass and the driver returns carrying her black gym bag. Serenity takes the bag from him draping it over her shoulder. She offers him a polite smile and a thank you before turning around and heading towards the building. A few moments later she finally reaches the building and is stopped by the security guard on duty. She reaches into the front pocket of her gym bag for her company id. Seconds later she pulls out the small plastic card and hands it to him. He looks on the clipboard in his hands and searches for Serenity’s name. Finding it towards the bottom of the page he crosses it off handing the card back to her. She shoves it back into the pocket of her gym bag as she heads inside. She stopped at the check in desk for her locker room assignment and to see if Jamie had arrived yet. After being told that her locker room was number 423 she was told that Jamie hadn’t arrived yet but scheduled any minute. Serenity nodded in acceptance as she took the key and headed on her way. She made her way down the long hallway going almost to the end. Finally finding room 423 she stuck the key in the lock turning it all the way till she could hear it click. She twisted the knob slightly pushing it inward and making her way inside. Serenity gave the room a small look over as she tossed her bag on the couch. It wasn’t the best but it would do. It wasn’t like she was going to be spending all day in there. She reached into the main section of her bag pulling out a metallic pink iPod, clipping it on the waistband of her jeans she lowered herself on the floor to start on her stretches. After a couple of minutes she found a song that suited her fancy and pressed play. As the song started to play through her headphones she leaned towards the right, stretching out her right leg. She was so consumed with her pre training stretching that she was unaware that the door to her locker room had opened and her husband AC Steel had entered the room. AC walked up behind her. He brushed her long blonde hair away from her neck moving his face towards her in an attempt to give her a kiss on the neck. Serenity pulled away swinging her hand back almost hitting him. AC ducked just in time watching Serenity’s hand swing into the dead air.
AC Steel: A little touchy aren’t we?

Serenity Chambers: Sorry babe, I didn’t realize you were standing there.

AC Steel: What’s with the jab anyway? Normally you’re not near that touchy.

Serenity Chambers: Is it my fault that you got in my way? If I want any shot of advancing in this battle royal I have to be in the best shape I can possibly be.

AC Steel: You have nothing to worry about. Take a look at the ones who made the check in deadline. You can beat each and every one of them all you need to do is focus and keep away from the ropes as best as you can.

Serenity Chambers: You’re one to talk. You didn’t even show up for the freaking deadline and you’re standing here and giving me advice. And don’t go giving me that shit about being in a gym training because that’s a load of shit and you know it. Now if you don’t mind I have a match to get ready for.

AC Steel: What’s with the attitude? Surely Summer’s letter hasn’t gotten you that upset?

Serenity Chambers: First of all, I’m not upset. Second of all I couldn’t give a rat’s ass what Summer writes in a damn letter. I’m irritated because you’re in my way and driving me insane. If I was going to get upset about anything Summer said or did it would be that ridiculous interview she did.

AC Steel: What interview?

Serenity Chambers: The one I saw in the limo on the way here. Evidently now I’m cliché, speak mindless dribble that makes no sense whatsoever, bitter and twisted and now I’m old and scraggly with a heart condition. (She laughs) And to top it off, now I’m having a “fucking cry?because the bitch beat me. Have you once seen me cry over it? (AC shakes his head) Of course not but in Summer’s warped little mind I have. Pissed at first…yea. But crying over it?no. I don’t cry over a loss especially to someone like her. The fact that she thinks so makes me laugh.

AC Steel: If she makes you laugh so much then why on earth is she your biggest female competitor?

Serenity Chambers: Not biggest, my only. Take a look at what few bothered to pull anything out of their asses and show. She’s the only other female in the match. Exactly what am I supposed to see her as? Just another elimination as she sees me? Granted that’s more of a fitting image of the so called Queen but elimination or not, the woman is my only female competitor. Not that I’m bragging about it. Don’t get me wrong I’d love to throw her ass over the top rope but still I was hoping for a little more women. Jamie took another vacation, Kasey’s ass was released, and Lexi Larvey, it seems she couldn’t handle the competition here and took her ball and went home without so much as a match. Oh well, saves me from wasting any time on the jobbers and onto someone who deserves the attention.

AC Steel: That wouldn’t be Summer would it?

Serenity Chambers: If she’s still in there when I come down, maybe. All depends on if she gets in my way or not. You see she’s under the impression that I’m obsessed with her, whining because she beat me one time. (Shakes her head) I got over that the same day it happened. If I had spent the whole six months or so crying and whining over it then I’d have done something about it instead of waiting for an opportunity like this to present itself for me to get another chance. The thing is, Summer loves to think she’s so damn important around here. I’ve got news for miss high and mighty but the only people that give two shits about her is her and her butt buddy Kia. I don’t about anyone else but I’m not buying that assistant bit for a minute.

AC Steel: You’re awful, you know that?

Serenity Chambers: I can’t help it, the woman just irritates the hell out of me with this shit she’s spewing. I’d love to rip those lips right off that smug little face of hers and shove them up her ass for her. As much as she talks out of her ass anyway, it’d be perfect for her. (She smirks) I do that and I won’t have to listen to her rave about how I can’t get over one loss. Imagine how much better this place will be then. I’d be a freaking a hero around her just for shutting her hole up for good.

AC Steel: A hero huh?

Serenity Chambers: Oh come on, don’t tell me that you actually think I was serious with that? It was nothing more than a freaking joke just like everything else I’ve said about her. If you actually took it serious, I’m going to start calling you Summer the second. (AC rolls his eyes) Well…you would be. Now if you run around here thinking you’re god’s gift to the world then you really will be a carbon copy of Summer. Next thing I know you’re going to be telling me that I’m lucky that you felt gracious enough of granting me the time to lace up your boots and step into the ring.

AC Steel: I didn’t say?/P>

Serenity Chambers: Uh huh. Look it doesn’t matter. I have a match in less than an hour that I need to get ready for.

AC Steel: Speaking of your match, you do have more than just Summer to worry about you know?

Serenity Chambers: I’m quite aware there dear. If you had bothered to listen to me then you would know that. Look, I’m going to go do some running and get myself warmed up.

Without another word Serenity rose to an upright position. She made her way across the room to the door, grabbing the handle and pulling it towards her. She disappears into the hallway leaving AC standing there with a dumbfounded look as the scene fades.

Next Match: Royal Rumble Match

The day of the Royal Rumble was set to air Serenity Chambers arrived in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada at WGEF’s Headquarters. As the scene comes into play a black stretch limo pulls into the parking lot heading towards the front of the building. The limo comes to a stop. As the engine goes silent a middle aged man dressed in a plain black suit with a white dress shirt. He walked around to the back opening the left rear door, as he did a single white and silver tennis shoe emerged from inside reaching down to the pavement. Seconds later the individual slides the rest of the way out. The camera starts down at their feet slowly panning upward revealing the person to be Serenity Chambers. Serenity thanks the driver for his services as she makes her way to the sidewalk. After stepping onto the sidewalk she makes her way up to the building. As she reaches the door the security guard pulls the doors open allowing Serenity to pass through. Once inside she walks through the lobby coming to a stop in front of the reception desk. Seeing that the receptionist was on the phone Serenity rests her arms on the desk waiting for her to finish. A few moments pass and the receptionist finishes her call. Seeing Serenity standing off to the side she lays the receiver back on the hook then turns towards Serenity.

Receptionist: Well hello Serenity, can I help you with something?

Serenity Chambers: Hey Marie. I’m scheduled to do a live chat for my match against Summer and twenty six others for the Rumble  on the official site and I was never told where it’s supposed to be.

Marie holds up her index finger signaling for Serenity to wait a minute. She turns towards her computer pulling up the file that contained the day’s activities. Finding the information Serenity was searching for she turned her attention back to Serenity.

Marie: From what it says here your live chat will be in the conference room on the third floor.

Serenity thanked her for her help as she pushed herself off the desk. She made her way through the spacious lobby over to the elevators. She pressed the lobby button and waited for the doors to open. Seconds later a slight ding fills the air as the doors start to open. Serenity steps inside pressing the button for the third floor. As the doors start to close Serenity leans against the wall trying to envision the questions she will be getting asked. She was seeing questions like ‘Are you afraid to face a legend?or ‘How do you plan to handle Summer? Both meaningful questions but quite frankly a bit boring for her. Really it didn’t matter just as long as it didn’t take long. Serenity’s thoughts were interrupted by the same slight ding she heard earlier. The doors opened and she stepped out into the hall. She turned to her left heading in the direction of the conference room. When she reached the room she found a laptop already set up at the end of the table. At the opposite end was the company’s computer consultant. She offered him a nod as she took her seat. He explained to her that he had already signed her in and all she needed to do was hit enter and the chat would start. She moved her hand towards the enter button pressing it. As things got started the consultant explained the rules stating that all questions would go through him first then over to Serenity. Serenity sat waiting patiently when finally she received her first question.

WGEF_Fan: Hello Serenity. I can’t believe you entered the Royal Rumble. Aren’t you nervous?

Serenity stared at the question, laughing at it for a few seconds before responding.

WGEFSerenity: Okay, I’m not sure what rock you’ve been living under but I’m not nervous about this at all. Granted this is a first for me but I’m quite capable of handling it. Take a look at what competition I have for this thing anyhow. Summer Fox and Deacon Havok and the usual pack of losers. Not much there to sweat.

LegendkillerCKO:  Summer’s been your main focus going into this match. Have you given much thought into someone else, say Deacon for example?

WGEFSerenity: Of course I’ve given Deacon some thought. I’ve given him lots of thought but he hasn’t went around making me out to be a weakling like someone else has. In fact he’s only mentioned me once and that was because he saw me as someone who could possibly give him some competition. I wonder what he thinks now. Perhaps I actually stand a chance at giving the almighty king some competition and not just the potential.

TrishsLvR: I don’t know about everyone else here but I really want to see a woman win. Especially you. What do you think your chances are?

WGEFSerenity: The first intelligent person that I’ve talked to all day. Kudos on the compliment by the way. Now to answer your question I think I have a fantastic chance of winning this match. Unlike the majority of the people that entered this thing I’m not afraid of competition and I will do whatever it takes to do what has to be done in order to pick up the win.

MrSmIcHaElS: We know your husband has entered the Rumble as well. Is it weird facing him?

WGEFSerenity: Of course not. No more effort than AC has put into this match it won’t be weird facing him at all.

MHarrisGRL: What about David?

WGEFSerenity: David?again no. He may have been a champion at one time but he’s let himself go in a major way. Seriously. Beating him is like?taking candy from a baby, if you’ll pardon the cliché.

KayleeTheQueen: What about Michael Harris?

WGEFSerenity: Ah that dude. (Laughs) The only person that sees him as a threat is himself. You could ask everyone in this and they will tell you the exact same thing. He spent his time on Deacon and then…nothing. He claimed he wanted a chance at winning the Royal Rumble for once but I think his lack of an appearance speaks for himself. Don’t you think?

TheGameHHH: I certainly do. Now what about Evolution?

WGEFSerenity: Evolution? They couldn’t fight their way out of a wet paper bag if it had a hole in it. Enough said.

Queen_Summer: You think you have this match won so easy. You have yet to mention the name of the 2008 Royal Rumble, the Queen herself Summer Fox. She beat you once and she will do it again.

Serenity chuckles at the fan’s obvious attempt to hype up Summer. While it was a lame attempt at best, but still made her laugh which is something she hadn’t done during this whole thing.

WGEFSerenity: Okay you need a huge dose of reality. Your so called queen is going down and speaking of which it’s that time so toodles loser.

The consultant came on informing everyone that the chat was going to be ending so Serenity could fulfill other company obligations. He then told Serenity to say her goodbyes. Serenity thanked everyone for coming and signed herself out. She rose up from her seat thanking the consultant for monitoring the chat. He gave her a quick nod. Serenity turned around and made her way towards the door as the scene ended
