It’s been a few days since Trish took part in a live webcast for the WGEF fans on the company’s official website, now it was time for her to fly to New York for an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel. In just twenty four hours she would be defending her Intercontinental Title against her recent rival, Mark Stone. For Trish it was a chance to prove to everyone that Mark wasn’t as devastating as his reputation perceived him to be. To do that, she needed to beat him. Which won’t be the hardest thing in the world to achieve. Mark believes that he is the biggest and baddest competitor in this company and that no one except maybe Candice or Evangelia compares to him, which was a joke in itself. Trish had competed against Candice when she first signed with the company and beaten her with ease. Evangelia she hadn’t so far, but given the opportunity she knew she could beat her. The only person that Trish knew would be a struggle for her to beat was her boyfriend Deacon Havok. The two had spent quite a deal of time in a ring squaring off against each other giving the other some much needed practice. As hard as it was to compete with him she knew it would only benefit her when she faced Mark Stone. With Deacon her side it gave her more confidence that she could pull out the win. Over the course of her career Trish had been in the ring with Kurt Angle, Candice Michelle and Chris Orton and walked out the winner. It amazed Trish the few times that someone had beaten her. There are only a few people that can say that, one of them being Kat Sanders. Of course there’s more but at the moment Kat is the only one coming to her mind. Trish was bound and determined that Mark was not going to be adding his name alongside Kat’s, not if she had anything to say about it. Up until now Trish had been so busy that she hadn’t even stopped by the arena to see how things were going. We move down to the parking garage where a black stretch limo pulls into the parking garage pulling all the way around and coming to a stop in front of the doors. The limo’s engine turns off as the driver’s door opens and stepping out of the limo the driver pulls his hat back on his head and begins to walk around to the back of the limo. As he circles around he comes to the back side passenger door and opens the door. As he does a diva with high heels, a pair of denim jeans, gets out and stands up. Her shirt can not be seen underneath the black leather jacket she is wearing, with her long blonde hair hanging loosely down her back coming to a stop just above her shoulders. It’s none other than Trish Stratus. She has a smile on her face and her purse over her shoulder. She smiles at the driver as he than smiles back at her. The driver than closes the door behind Trish and walks over to the trunk of the limo using the key to open it up. He then pulls out a big suitcase and as he does this he than closes the trunk. He pulls out the handle to the suitcase and rolls it over to Trish who gladly takes it from him. She tells him that it will be a couple of hours before she turns and she should have Deacon with her this evening to take them to the hotel and the driver agrees in a way to acknowledge the fact he knows what Trish is saying. Trish smiles and nods to him as she takes her suitcase and pulls it behind her. As she does she begins to walk in towards the arena. She pulls open one of the door and heads into the arena. As she walks though the halls of the arena she imagines this being the last time she’ll have to concern herself with Mark Stone. When she walks into Tuesday Night Raw, a couple of nights after Wrestlemania 3 she’ll still be the Intercontinental Champion. The thought brings a smile to her face almost as much as the visions of her getting the pinfall over Mark does. That brought the biggest smile ever. As Trish heads down the hallway past everyone in the hallway they are giving her the dirtiest looks. Trish is not well liked in this company and that’s a well known fact that she is liked far less that Mark but at the same time everyone in this company wishes that she were their best friend. From Jamie Austin down to her ex husband Chris Jericho and even John Morrison who always seems to be popping up in Trish’s office all the time trying to get on her good side. So what if everyone in the company hates her, she wasn’t there to make friends. She had Deacon and a few others as friends and that was all she needed. She continues to walk through the halls as she finally reaches the locker room that says her and Deacon’s name. She smiles as she reaches for the handle on the door and pushes it open. Walking into the locker room, she sees that Deacon has his stuff here but he is no where to be found. She figures that he is probably out and about taking care of his pay per view promos that he has to get out of the way before his match. Trish nods as she walks around her locker room and sees a dozen roses in a vase. She smiles and walks over smelling it and smiles. They smell amazing and it just makes her giggle to herself. She takes the note off of the wire thing hanging up and they are to her from her boyfriend which makes her smile and be even more happy that she could have been at that moment knowing that he is hers and that they are forever going to be together. She picks up one of the thornless roses and lifts it up looking at it. The velvety red petals were truly gorgeous. Her eyes drifted down to the thorns spread all over the stem. They were small but sharp. The slightest slip across them could be quite painful, just like messing with the wrong person. Which is exactly what Mark Stone had done when he came after Trish and the Intercontinental Title. Mark had ran his mouth long enough finally pushing Trish to her limits. Now she was going to take him into the ring and just like the thorns on the rose she was holding she was going to prick him till he bled. That was her plan. Laughing to herself Trish runs the rose over her lips and smells its sweet smell and smiles. She puts her rose back into the vase knowing that because of the sweet gesture by Deacon tonight for the two is going to be a very long night. Walking over to her bag than she lifts it up off the ground and puts it onto the sofa as she unzips the bag and pulls out a different pair of jeans and a new tank top as she walks into the bathroom and about seven minutes later comes out in a brand new outfit. She smiles as she looks at herself in a full length mirror. She straightens out her outfit and smiles as she walks back over to the couch with her boots she had just taken off in her hand and sits down as she starts to lace them up and put them back up. All she can think about is the interview she has to go and give Todd in just a few minutes. She just slightly rolls her eyes knowing that Todd might as well just be the male version of mirror just maybe slightly smarter but not by much. She chuckles at that as she finishes up lacing her boots. She knows that may of the questions are going to be involved in deep with her match with Mark Stone. Much more serious than the questions that she had to answer at the live web chat. Rolling her eyes she slowly stands up and closes her eyes as she takes a deep breathe. Just as she does, there is a knock at the door. Trish raises en eyebrow without opening her eyes and yells come in as she slowly opens her eyes. As the door opens another women figure walks into the room as Trish rolls her eyes as the figure shows up in front of her to be none other than Chris Orton. Chris came in a strut of his own and Trish slowly folds her arms across her chest. Trish has a very curious look on her face wondering what the hell Chris is doing here in her locker room.
Trish Stratus: Ah, the great Chris Orton. How lucky am I to have you of all people in my locker room. Let me guess you came here to tell me once again how you’re going to beat Deacon and get the WGEF Championship. What’s the reason this time Chris? My ex husband is going to help you?
Chris Orton: You really need to get your panties out of a wad there Trish. I didn’t come to tell you how I’m going to beat your boyfriend for the one thing he wants most in the world other than, well, you. I came here to talk to you about your own match. Against Mark Stone right? (She nods) Yea, I thought so. I caught your chat on the site the other day and I must say it was highly commendable.
Trish Stratus: Well I am so glad that it met your high standards Chris, it was my goal the whole time. As you can see I’m extremely busy so if you would kindly get the hell out of my office it would be appreciated.
Chris Orton: You’re breaking my heart you know that? Here I came down here to wish you luck and applaud you on your chat and you throw me out? I am truly hurt.
Trish Stratus: I’m sure you are. Look Chris, I really don’t have the time to stand here and listen why you think I’m going to lose tomorrow night. I really could care less. So if that’s your sole reason for coming down here save yourself the time cause I’m not listening.
Chris Orton: You underestimate me. I had no intentions of telling you that I think you’re going to lose. Unlike thousands of people all over the world I actually believe you’re going to win. Not because you’re so much better than Mark Stone but because I truly feel in my heart that tomorrow is your lucky night.
Trish Stratus: My lucky night huh? Just when I think I’ve heard everything there is to say when it comes to this match then you walk in and out comes something entirely new. This one, however, takes the cake. So tell me, exactly how is it going to be my lucky night? I’m just dying to hear this.
Before Chris starts to answer, Trish makes her way around the desk pulling out her chair just far enough for her to step in front of it. Holding on to the arm she lowers her small frame into the chair keeping her eyes locked straight ahead on Chris. She raised her arms from the arms of the chair folding them in front of her pressing them against her chest.
Chris Orton: Face it Trish, you got lucky at Armageddon when you beat Kurt Angle. If it wouldn’t have been for you managing to break out of the Ankle Lock you’d never would have gotten the title. As tough as Kurt was you know Mark’s going to be worse. He’s much younger and quite frankly a better athlete. (Trish starts to object but Chris cuts her off) Hold on, I’m not done yet. You see, as good as Mark is I know that you’re going to be able to wiggle your way out of whatever he puts you in. I have faith in you.
Trish Stratus: So I’m going to retain my title by getting a lucky break, you have no idea how thrilled that makes me. Here I thought I was going to have to bust my ass to beat him but now thanks to you I know I don’t have to. All I have to do is get out of whatever Mark puts me in at the right time and I’m all set.
Chris Orton: Oh come on Trish the only person besides you that thinks you can stand a chance at beating Mark by skill is Deacon. Everyone else knows the truth. Mark Stone is just to much for you to handle. I’ve seen what the guy do Trishy and trust me it’s not going to be pretty for you by a long shot. As much as you don’t want to admit you know its true.
Trish Stratus: You really are funny you know that? Here you come in here and tell me how you believe that I’m going to beat Mark Stone then you tell me that Mark’s better than me. You really need to make up your mind as to what you think and just stick with it for once. It would make it a lot easier on everyone to figure out just what in the hell you’re saying. It’s getting really old hearing how great Mark is. The man has a reputation of destroying people in other federations but here he has done absolutely nothing. Hell he had the United States for two months and never defended it once.
Chris Orton: Okay I’ll give you that one but you’ve got to admit that you haven’t done all that much yourself. You’ve defended the title once in two months yet you walk around here acting like you have. And the guy you defended it against sucked. You gave him a free shot yet Mark had to earn his. What’s a matter Trish, afraid that he’s actually going to take your title?
Trish Stratus: No I don’t think he’s going to take my title simply because he hasn’t felt the need to do one single bit of promotion of any kind. All he’s managed to do is take another one of his vacations to go back down to hick country to get see his mommy and daddy so they can give him the confidence that he’s going to be able to beat me. I hate to rain on his parade but no matter how much they tell him that he’s the best wrestler to ever step inside a wrestling ring it’s not going to do him a bit of good. I’m not Triple H. I’m not going to going to lay down and let him get the easy win.
Chris Orton: I hope you’re right Trish, I really do. I would just hate to see you broken hearted if Mark were to prove you wrong and take that title from you. Just the thought of you and Deacon both being title less is truly horrendous. But hey I can see you’re a busy woman so I won’t keep you any longer. Don’t bother getting up, I’ll show myself out.
Without so much as a word Chris gets up and makes his way across the room to the door. Gripping the door knob in his hand he twists it slightly to the right before pulling it towards him. He turned around and gave Trish one final smart assed grin before stepping out into the hallway closing the door behind him. Trish reaches over to the edge of her desk grabbing a book and hurling it in the direction of the door. As she does the door swings open and Trish’s boyfriend Deacon Havok spears on the other side. Seeing the book quickly flying at him, he ducks watching the book fly out into the hallway. He looks up to make sure she isn’t going to throw anything else before rising to his feet. He makes his way across the room to Trish’s desk. Deacon walks around behind Trish, giving her a kiss on the top of the head.
Deacon Havok: What’s a matter babe, are you having a bad day?
Trish Stratus: It was fine until the world’s biggest butcher of the English language came in here.
Deacon Havok: What on earth did Chris Orton want? To give you more grief most likely.
Trish Stratus: How on earth did you know? Were you standing on the other side of that door the whole time listening to it?
Deacon Havok: Unfortunately I wasn’t or I would’ve done something about it. Judging by that sour look on your face and the fact that you threw a book across the room I take it what he had to say wasn’t a good thing.
Trish Stratus: Oh, you have no idea. First he tells me that he actually believes that I have a chance to beat Mark Stone tomorrow night then he proceeds to tell me that the only way I can do that is if I get a lucky break like what I apparently did with Kurt. You aren’t going to believe this but when it comes to actual wrestling I don’t have a chance at beating him. Isn’t that nice?
Deacon Havok: First of all you should know better than to believe anything that comes from Chris Orton’s mouth. The man is more full of shit than anyone else in the entire company. All he’s trying to do is get you frustrated so you blow your chance at retaining your title. I wouldn’t be surprised if Mark Stone didn’t send him in here to get under your skin so he can have a little easier time.
Trish Stratus: Between those two nothing would surprise me at all. Mark has done nothing but go home to mommy and daddy looking for someone to boost his confidence. That tells me that even he doesn’t think that he’s going to be able to win. It took long enough but he finally wised up and realized that he’s in way over his head. Right now he’s probably caught on to the fact that he should’ve kept the United States Title and saved himself the embarrassment of losing to a girl.
Deacon Havok: You really are sadistic today aren’t you? If Mark hasn’t already realized that he has no hope of winning one look at you right now will tell him. Heck if it doesn’t just throw something at him and knock some sense into him. He could certainly use it.
Trish Stratus: As much as he could use it, it wouldn’t help him. The man thinks he’s the greatest gift to wrestling even if I hit him square in the head with something it wouldn’t knock sense into him. A swift kick in the ass wouldn’t even help. The only thing that’s going to get it through to him is when the final bell rings and I’m standing over him with my hand raised high in the air and the Intercontinental Title in the other.
Deacon Havok: This is Mark Stone we’re talking about here. Even that isn’t going to get through to him. The second that you beat him and hold your title in the air in victory he’s going to be crying that you cheated somehow just so he can get another shot.
Trish Stratus: I have no doubts about that at all. Once he sees that he failed to get the job done he’ll be looking for anything that he thinks will help him. He’d bring in rejects from the crowd if he thought it would do him any good.
Deacon Havok: I’d be careful not to give him any ideas. The last thing you need is for Mark to get some idea on how to screw you over.
Trish Stratus: Believe me I know but I can’t exactly sit here and say nothing can I? If Mark’s that desperate for a way to win that he’d stand outside my office door in hopes that I’ll give him one that’s his problem not mine. I on the other hand have much better things to do with my time.
Deacon Havok: Who knows maybe mommy and daddy gave him some. Lord know he could use all the help he can get.
Trish Stratus: And you call me sadistic ! That was darn right horrible. (She laughs) I don’t even want to know where that one came from.
Deacon Havok: What? You know you were thinking it too. Come on and admit it.
Trish Stratus: No way buddy, I’m not incriminating myself in any way. I don’t want to imagine him at home with his mom and dad in the living room with his mom and dad seated on either side him giving him tips on how to beat me. Although it may be quite funny something tells me its best that I just leave that image alone.
Deacon Havok: Oh I don’t know. A good laugh might be the best thing and after as much hell as he has put you through in the last month you could certainly use the laugh.
Trish Stratus: You’re probably right but I’m going to save that for my victory ceremony. The second that I sit back and laugh is about the time Mark will finally show his face and spill out his latest load of insults. This time I will probably have had the baby, you and I will be married and on our way to divorce court.
Deacon Havok: We’re getting married, divorced and having a baby are we? Wow, I wish I had known I could have taken some time off or something so we could have a proper honey moon or even done something to help you with the baby.
Trish Stratus: You and me both babe. I honestly don’t know where the man gets that stuff, all I can say is he has one hell of an overactive imagination.
Deacon Havok: You ever given thought to that he’s a few fries short of a happy meal?
Trish raises an eyebrow in curiosity, trying her hardest not to laugh.
Trish Stratus: It’s definitely up there believe me. There’s definitely something wrong with him that’s for sure.
Before Trish can say another word there’s a knock at her door. She lets out a sigh of frustration before calling out for whoever’s knocking to come in. The door slowly swings open and WGEF Interview Todd Grisham sticks his head inside.
Todd Grisham: Excuse me Trish but I was hoping that I could get a quick interview with you about your match tomorrow night against Mark Stone?
Trish rolls her eyes in disgust as she motions for him to come in. Not wanting to be a part of it Deacon gives her another kiss on the head and makes his way across the room disappearing into the hallway. As the door closes behind him Trish turns her attention back to Todd, who had taken the liberty of taking a seat in one of the chairs in front of her desk. As usual he had a cameraman right there with him. Trish pulled herself off the back of her chair up to her desk. She rested her elbows on the edge of the desk as she gave Todd a look that simply told him to get started. Not wasting any time Todd motioned for the cameraman to get ready. He gave Todd a nod as he took his camera to the side of the desk quickly setting it up. Once he was ready he gave Todd the all clear signal. Todd turned his attention back towards Trish.
Todd Grisham: Ladies and Gentlemen I’m standing here with WGEF Co- Owner and Raw General Manager Trish Stratus, who tomorrow night will be defending her Intercontinental Title against Mark Stone. (Todd turns towards Trish) Trish my first question is this, ever since Mark returned to the company over a month ago he’s quickly become a thorn in your side. What’s wandering through your mind as you prepare for this match?
Trish Stratus: What’s going through my mind? Wow Todd, I didn’t expect you to come you to come up with such an intelligent question on your first try. Kudos. Now to answer your question, what’s been going through my mind is the importance of the match itself. On one hand I have one of the toughest competitors that I’ve ever had to step into the ring with and on the other my Intercontinental Title is on the line. No matter how you look at it, it’s going to be a difficult night for me.
Todd Grisham: With Mark Stone being one of the toughest opponents you’ve ever had to face, you’re going to have to put on your best effort in order to retain your title. Have you given any thought to you might be able to get the job done?
Trish Stratus: That didn’t last long did it? Actually Todd, I have given some thought to that . Not because I believe there is a chance that I’m actually going to lose but because it’s a natural part of life. If I go into this match with the idea that I’m going to win no matter what there’s a good chance that I’m going to make a very costly mistake at the right moment and give Mark the easy win. As hard as I fought to beat Kurt I’m not going to run the risk of making a mistake.
Todd Grisham: Mark Stone has not been seen around a WGEF arena since your last altercation a couple of weeks ago. Surely that’s got to concern you a little as to what he could have in store for you tomorrow night. Have you got any ideas?
Trish Stratus: Actually Todd, I don’t and quite frankly I don’t care. All I care about is that he shows up tomorrow night. What he does in the mean time is his business. He can practice modeling the Intercontinental Title in front of a full length mirror in his bedroom for all I care. He could even be sitting in the living room of his parents house telling them exactly what he wants to do to me and I still wouldn’t care and you know why Todd?
Todd Grisham: No, I ?
Trish Stratus: Because it’s nothing but talk.
Todd Grisham: Well its been said that when Mark Stone wins a match he doesn’t pin his opponents he destroys them. With never facing anyone with that type of background in your career that’s got to be weighing on your mind. I know he hasn’t shown signs of doing anything of that magnitude since he’s been here but doesn’t that worry you that you could be the first one to experience it?
Trish Stratus: No Todd it doesn’t. You see I’m not one of the many pussies we have around here who’s afraid of a little pain. If the rumors are true and Mark Stone is actually capable of inflicting that sort of pain on someone well, that’s a chance that I’m just going to have to take.
Todd Grisham: I’m sure you’ve been asked this question a million times already but as I’ve said earlier Mark Stone is not going to be an easy man to beat. It’s going to require you to be at the top of your game and to do that you’re going to have to prepare yourself as best as you can. Can you tell us how you’ve prepared yourself?
Trish Stratus: Not that its any of your business but since I won’t get you off my back otherwise I don’t have much choice but to answer, do I? I’ve spent as much time as I can at the gym making sure my body is in the best psychical shape that it can possibly be in. And before you ask, I’ve been in the ring with Deacon so as you can see Todd I’m fully prepared to take whatever Mark has to offer me.
Todd Grisham: That’s all the questions I have, but before I go is there any last words you have for Mark Stone?
Trish Stratus: Several things come to mind Todd but none that can be aired on live TV unfortunately. A shame I know but we do have censors. However, I will give you something to at least make you feel special. Mark, I know you’re at home with mommy and daddy watching every word I say thinking that you’ve got this in the bag already. Keep in mind that I’m not Candice or Evangelia, I’m going to lay down for you and make it easy. Unfortunately for you, you’re going to have to work for this one. If I were you I’d spend what little time you have left in the gym you’re certainly going to need it.
She gave Todd a look that simply said that she was done. Todd moved the microphone back towards him finishing off the interview by reminding everyone to tune into Wrestlemania 3 the following night. After he was done the cameraman gave him the all clear signal. Todd rose from his seat thanking Trish for the interview. She gave him a simple nod as she slumped back in her chair as the scene faded.
