OCC: I hate my ISP, this is twice in one week their service has been down and I've had to sit here waiting for hours for them to fix it. Ugh!!!! Okay enough of my ranting, my net finally works again so I can get this posted. Good luck to everyone and enjoy!

It was just a little over a week before WGEF Backlash would be airing live from the 1st Mariner Arena in the heart of Baltimore with a collection of great matches already booked for the event. One of those matches is the Intergender Tag Team Match saw the team of Kaylee Adams McKenzie, Chris McKenzie and Trish Stratus taking on the team of Adam Michaels, Chris Michaels and Mark Stone. The scene opens up in Montreal Canada at WGEF Headquarters and as usual Trish was in her office going over the never ending mound of paperwork while her daughter Crystal played on the floor nearby. Trish looked down at her daughter long enough to check on her then turns her attention to back to the stack of papers on her desk. Just as Trish was about to start on another pile the door to her office opened. Trish looked up to see who was coming in without being invited. Seeing that it was her assistant Karen, she quickly turned her attention back to what she was working on. Karen closed the door behind her making her way across the room over to Trish's desk. She reached in her pocket pulling out a small white piece of paper. Trish took the paper out of Karen's hand staring at it for a few seconds, noticing that it was the confirmation from the Phillips Arena about her request to hold a press conference for the following day. She nodded in acceptance as she handed the paper back to Karen for safe keeping. After she finishes the set she was working on she pushes her chair back, eventually rising to her feet. She bends down picking daughter from the floor as Karen grabs Trish's travel bag. They make their way through the building reaching the company jet. After they were in their seats the jet took off. Trish leaned her head against the seat thinking about her upcoming press conference. She hated the thought of standing at a podium answering questions from people who made Todd Grisham look smart but it was good publicity for the company and that was something she couldn't turn down. After what seemed like a matter of minutes the jet reached the airport in Atlanta. As the jet comes to a stop the pilot comes over the speaker telling them that it's safe to get off. Trish unfastens her seatbelt and Crystal as Karen gets hers. They make their way off the plane to the waiting limo that Karen had ordered. Once they were inside Karen told the driver where they were headed. He nodded in acceptance putting the limo into gear. About twenty minutes later they finally reach the Phillips Arena. They make their way inside; checking in with a tall middle aged man, she soon learned was the event coordinator. She was informed that everything was just about ready and that she was being sent to make up right away. Trish handed Crystal over to Karen and followed the coordinator over to a small makeshift makeup area, much like the ones she was used to seeing everyday. She made her way over to a director's styled chair, making herself comfortable. A few moments pass and she glances over at her watch. Noticing that she had been sitting there for five minutes she wondered where in the hell the makeup artist was. She rested her elbow on the arm and leaned her head against her fist letting out an irritated sigh as a rather annoyed look started to appear on her face. She was scheduled to get her hair and make up done before the press conference and as usual the makeup artist was late. Trish sat in the chair anxiously tapping her recently French manicured nails against the wood handles, glancing up at the clock grumbling to herself with each second that passed. She needed a way to calm herself down before she exploded on the poor woman. She reached into the pocket of her hip hugger jeans pulling out her metallic pink iPOD. Unwinding the headphones from around it she sticks them in her ears.  Holding the player in front of her face she gets to her song list, looking for a song that will lighten her mood. A few seconds later she finds the song she was looking for and lays the player down on her lap. As “First Time?by Lifehouse starts to play she leans her head against the cool concrete wall, closing her eyes. No sooner had the lyrics started she could feel the stress slowly start to diminish and not a moment to soon. The makeup artist rushed down the hall in Trish’s direction quickly getting in position behind Trish’s chair. Trish pulls her head up and turning around so that her back was facing the back of the chair, giving the makeup artist room to work.  She started with Trish’s hair, quickly getting to her makeup. Within a matter of minutes Trish was done. She slid off the chair to the floor, pausing long enough to give the makeup artist a sarcastic thank you before walking off to where the event coordinator was waiting. They made their way down a semi long hallway. Even through the thick concrete walls she could hear the low rumbling coming from the crowd inside. She knew it was good for business but she didn’t care. In her eyes this was just another interview and it was no secret how much she hated interviews. She let out a small groan as she continued down the hall, listening as the rumbling noise started to get louder. Moments later they finally reached the end of the hall coming upon a set of double steel doors. The event coordinator grabbed the handle of the door pulling it towards him. He steps inside followed by Trish. They make their way across the large room, stepping up onto a sizeable stage with a podium positioned directly in the middle. The coordinator made his way to the middle of the stage tapping on the mic to get the attention of everyone in the room. A few minutes pass and the room slowly starts to get quiet giving him a chance to speak.

Event Coordinator: Ladies and Gentlemen…welcome. Our press conference will be beginning shortly but first I want to give you some ground rules. Anyone wishing to ask a question to Miss Stratus, raise your hand and she will get to when she can.  Simple as that. Now without further adieu, our guest of honor…Trish Stratus.

Trish made her way onto the stage amongst a series of flash bulbs from the hundreds of cameras throughout the room. She was dressed in black silk top with matching pants and high heels on her feet. Her long blonde hair hung loose resting just below her shoulders. She had bronze dangling earrings in her ears. Judging by her appearance, it was impossible to tell she had just gotten off a plane before arriving. Trish made her way across the stage, stopping in front of the podium. She placed her hands on each side as she stared out into the crowd waiting for the bulbs to stop flashing. After what seemed like hours they finally stopped and the room had starting growing quiet. Trish cleared her throat and started to speak.

Trish Stratus: Welcome everyone. I’m not going to waste a lot time covering un-necessary things because quite frankly I have better things to do with my time and I’m sure you do as well. With that said let’s get right into this.

She looks straight ahead at a middle aged man who was starting to go bald with his hand waving frantically in the air. Not the type she would normally choose as number one, but hey she had to start somewhere. She pointed at him, telling him that he had been chosen. The man holds his mic up to his lips and starts to speak.

News Reporter #1:  (Before the reporter even speaks he pulls out a small spiraled notebook, flipping to an empty page) Trish, this whole thing started back at Wrestlemania 3 during a post match confrontation between you and Mark Stone which quickly went to a double team when Kaylee made her return then back to even when Adam Michaels came out to help Mark Stone. Does the adding of Chris McKenzie and Chris Michaels change the match in any way?

Trish Stratus: Well of course its changed genius, two people have been added to the match for Pete’s sake. I know for someone of your advanced age that may be tremendous but as you can see the sides are still evenly matched so to answer your question, no the match hasn’t changed. It was an Intergender Match then and it’s an Intergender Match now.

After answering his question Trish moves her eyes to the back where a young red haired woman stood with her hand waving wildly in the air. Trish pointed at her, giving her the cue to speak.

News Reporter #2: I know it was just addressed that this match stemmed from Wrestlemania 3 when you defended your Intercontinental Title against Mark Stone, where the only way you managed to keep your title was by disqualification. Along with him you have Chris Michaels, a man you haven’t faired well with often in the past. Then there’s Adam Michaels who you’ve never went up against. Looking at all of that, how do you think you’ll fair against the three of them?

Trish Stratus: Are you serious? (The reporter nods) Somehow I figured that you were. Let’s start with Chris Michaels, shall we? I’ll admit that I haven’t gotten a win every single time I faced him but I’m far from being defeated every time either. The first time we faced each other I took him to a draw then there was last year when I was part of the six person team that he was put against for pissing Courtney off. Not as bad as you made it out to be. As far as Mark Stone is concerned, I faced the man one time and I may not have picked up the win but I did what I had to do to make sure my Intercontinental Title stayed where it belonged. Adam Michaels on the other hand?you’ll find out how I fair against him Sunday night. Next question.

Off to the side an older woman with a bun in her hair stood off to the side. She seemed out of place for this type of thing but perhaps she was more intelligent than what Trish had ran into so far. Besides she was actually being polite, which caught Trish’s attention. She turned so that she was facing the woman and pointed her manicured fingernail at her.

News Reporter #3: As it was stated earlier this match started out with you and Kaylee taking on Adam Michaels and Mark Stone, can you tell us how it came to be that Chris McKenzie and Chris Michaels were added to the match?

Trish Stratus: Well leave it to the elderly to finally ask a question that makes sense. Those memory pills they give you in the home must really be working for you there grandma. Since you asked me such an intelligent question I’m going to be nice and skip the obvious comments about your age and answer your question. Chris Michaels I can tell you was added because Adam went to him begging for help. Why? Because he knew that him and Mark alone couldn’t beat Myself, Kaylee and her husband Chris. Chris McKenzie on the other hand, was added so he could get his hands on Adam Michaels for running down Kaylee and taking her out of action for a month.

Out of the corner of Trish’s eye she sees a young, not to mention good looking man standing in the far corner leaning against the wall. As Trish turned her attention towards him he winked. Trish smiled, flattered by his attention. She pointed in his direction, signaling he had the next question.

News Reporter #4: As much as this match has changed over the past few weeks it seems to have taken a whole new meaning. Maybe I’m wrong but now it seems to be more about Kaylee and Chris’s revenge on Adam Michaels then it a month ago. Pretty much putting you and Chris Michaels in the same spot. Do you feel this match involves you any more?

Trish Stratus: To be honest, no I don’t. In the beginning it was Mark got pissy cause he lost his chance at getting the Intercontinental Title and Kaylee making her return to have my back, then me having hers when Adam Michaels decided to stick his nose in it whereas now it’s just become something completely different that I have no idea just how it concerns me. Whether it concerns me or not, I’m in the match and I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure that my team gets the win. If you want to find out anything else I suggest you watch Backlash this Sunday and have a look for yourself because this press conference is over.

Trish flicked a stray piece of hair out of her face as she turned around, making her way across it to the small set of stairs she used when she made her way onto the stage an hour or so ago. After stepping off the final stair she headed down a small corridor  to the double steel doors . She gives the doors a hard shove and steps out into the hallway, letting out a loud groan in frustration as she heads down to the waiting area where Karen was waiting with Crystal. She knew she shouldn’t be surprised by those questions for some reason she was. She shook her head trying to erase the idiotic questions from her memory but was very unsuccessful. Oh well, it gave the company some good promotion even if she had to endure a couple hours of complete and utter hell. She shrugged it off and continued down the hall. A few moments later she came upon a single wooden door. She stared at the door for a few seconds looking for the nameplate, Not seeing one she peered into the small window eventually seeing her daughter playing with some blocks on the floor. She pulled the door open and stepped inside. Crystal jumped up from the floor and ran over to her, wrapping her arms around her legs. Trish reached down and gave her a kiss on the forehead as Karen handed her Crystal’s coat. Trish helped her slide it on then picked her up. Once everyone was ready they made their way over to the door, stepping back out into the hallway. Eager to get out of there and onto something more pleasant Trish quickened her pace to the point where Karen had a hard time keeping up with her. Finally they reached the end of the hall and headed towards the entrance doors. Grabbing the handle Trish stepped out into the cold, holding Crystal close to her to keep her warm. The driver opened the door just as Trish reached the limo. She climbed inside sliding over to the far end so Karen could get in, sitting Crystal between them. Just as the limo started to pull out of the parking lot her phone started to ring. She reached into the pocket of her parka pulling out her baby pink RAZR. Flipping the phone open she saw Deacon’s number come up on the caller id screen. She pressed the accept button, raising the phone up to ear as she started to speak.

Trish Stratus: Hey babe, I was just thinking about you.

Deacon Havok: You were huh? Was it something good or should I be concerned?

Trish Stratus: You’re funny, you know that? Unless you turn out to be some annoying pain in the ass with a microphone attached to your hand you have nothing to worry about. Trust me you’re far from being one of them so you’re safe.

Deacon Havok: (He lets out a breath of relief) Am I ever glad to hear that.

Trish Stratus: I’ll bet you are.

Deacon Havok: Judging by the tone of your voice, the press conference didn’t go as well as you had hoped it would

Trish Stratus: Oh my god, you have no idea. I might as well have just went to the arena and spent a couple hours talking to Todd “I’m a complete idiot?Grisham?or?(Trish shudders) Maria. I swear I never thought I’d say this but most of those people in there made her look smart. I swear if I stayed there a minute longer and I would’ve driven bamboo sticks under my fingernails.

Deacon Havok: You’ve dealt with both Todd and Maria over a few dozen times already and you’ve yet to drive bamboo sticks under your finger nails.

Trish Stratus: Note the word…yet. I swear if that had lasted any longer I would’ve ended up beating those idiots with that microphone instead of getting so frustrated that I just ended the damn thing and walked off the stage.

Deacon Havok: Isn’t the Phillips Arena pissed that you ended it before it was supposed to?

Trish Stratus: Oh they probably are but you what? I really don’t give a rat’s ass. I couldn’t handle talking to those idiots for a second longer. Not without going completely insane and I need to be sane if I’m going to give Kaylee and Chris any help Sunday night.

Deacon Havok: Of course we can’t have that. You’ve got enough deranged people on the opposite of the ring, you don’t need to join them. Besides I’m sure Kaylee and Chris would appreciate you being sane.

Trish Stratus: They probably would. Speaking of the three deranged people I have the pleasure of facing has either of them shown up yet?

Deacon Havok: Your all time favorite person is the only one so far. I didn’t pay a whole lot of attention to it but it was some TV sports thing.

Trish Stratus: (She rolls her eyes) How fantastic, this being Chris Michaels I can only imagine what he had to say. Knowing him it could be just about anything and most likely was.

Deacon Havok: I’m sure it was considering the source. If he doesn’t you know Mark Stone will. After that disqualification at Mania he’s going to be out for your blood.

Trish Stratus: Trust me I have no doubts about that. After he failed to get the job done at Mania he’s going to be out to get his so called revenge on me for the low blow. The attack on Kaylee means nothing to him and if it wasn’t for me seeing an opportunity to keep what is mine, he wouldn’t be in this match anyway. He’s just looking for some way to weaken me so he can come back and say he wants another shot.

Deacon Havok: I wouldn’t be surprised. What better time to go for a shot than when the champion is less than a hundred percent? Chris and Kaylee will mean nothing to him.

Trish Stratus: Not unless one of them goes after him, that is. Which I can’t see happening. They’ll have their hands full with Adam and making him pay for running Kaylee over. As far as Chris Michaels goes, I really haven’t the slightest clue where he’ll be. He doesn’t have a particular interest in it at all other than his usual one of he despises everyone else, so he could go either way.

Deacon Havok: If he does anything in the match at all. With not having anything in the match he may just not bother, unless he sees that he could lose. Regardless if he likes his brother or Mark or not, he’s not about to let a loss creep onto his record if he can help it.

Trish Stratus: This is Chris we’re talking about here, I know the man like a book. Okay more like pamphlet but you get the idea. He’s not all that hard to figure out, especially when his record’s involved. He’d do anything to keep it even if it means getting off his ass for once.

Deacon Havok: Fair enough, but I’d keep my eye on all three of them. Adam may be there to finish off Kaylee but knowing you’re her best friend he could very easily go after you to get under her skin more than he already has.

Trish Stratus: He’s a Michaels…I’m not putting anything past him.

Deacon Havok: Look I know he’s Kaylee’s husband and all but are you sure you can trust Chris McKenzie? You don’t exactly know anything about the guy.

Trish Stratus: Relax babe, it’ll be fine. He’s Kaylee’s husband, he knows how close Kaylee and I are. If he were to let something happen Kaylee wouldn’t let him hear the end of it. Besides she’s not about to associate with someone who can’t be trusted.

Deacon Havok: If you’re sure.

Trish Stratus: I am. (She looks up to see the limo pulling into the parking lot of the hotel she was staying in) Listen babe, I’m pulling into the hotel now so once Eric gets parked I’ll be up there within a few minutes. Okay?

Deacon Havok: No problem, I’ll be here waiting for you. I love you.

Trish Stratus: (She smiles) I love you too.

After they say their goodbyes she flips her phone closed and places it back in the pocket of her jacket just as the limo pulls into the parking lot. Eric coasts up to the front of the building coming to a stop in front of the doors. After killing the engine he gets out and makes his way around to the back, opening the left rear door. Trish slides out first holding Crystal soon followed by Karen. They make their way up to the hotel, disappearing inside as the scene fades.
