What in the hell is going on here? Seriously…I want to know. Because I can honestly tell anyone reading this that I don’t like it one bit. In fact it really pisses me off. If things were going to go down this way it would have been nice to be let in sooner so I could make some other arrangements instead of finding out at the least possible second and have to practically kill myself in order to make this situation even the slightest bit pleasant. Not like there’s any way I possibly can. I have six people I have to try and beat and by myself to boot. Kind of makes you feel like a lamb being tossed in front of a lion that hasn’t eaten in a few days. You just know you’re going to get killed. Looking at it that way doesn’t make it any better for me let me tell ya. In fact it makes it look worse. If that’s actually possible. If I had even the slightest clue that this was going to happen I wouldn’t have accepted this because it’s far from what I wanted to do. Give Chris Michaels one more chance to gloat that he got a victory over me. I hear his mouth run far more than enough and I really could do without giving him another reason. But hey, it’s the situation I was dealt and I have to deal with it. I’ve made up mind that I’m not going to let this bother me and I’m not going to waste my time crying over things that I can’t change. It’s not like it will do me any good anyway. All it does is make me exhausted and make my giving myself a fighting chance that much harder. It’s hard enough already, I don’t need anything to help it along. Sure having help would have been nice but this is one of those times in life that you learn to make it on your own. All I can say is the next time that I even consider doing another tag team match I really hope that someone either slaps some sense into me or I have the wits about me to do it myself. Lord knows I’m going to need it. I take on enough work on my own and I certainly don’t need to take on more than I know I can handle. I haven’t the slightest clue exactly what’s going to come out of this but I can assure anyone that’s reading this that it’s not going to be pretty. In fact it’s going to be far from it. It was just a little less than a week before WGEF Judgment Day would be airing live from the Amarillo Civic Center in the heart of Amarillo, Texas with a collection of great matches already booked for the event. One of those matches is the Tag Team Title match between the teams of The Rock and SVD, Chris and Courtney Michaels and Trish and Deacon Havok. The scene opens up in Montreal Canada at WGEF Headquarters and as usual Trish was in her office going over the never ending mound of paperwork while her daughter Crystal played on the floor nearby. Trish looked down at her daughter long enough to check on her then turns her attention to back to the stack of papers on her desk. Just as Trish was about to start on another pile the door to her office opened. Trish looked up to see who was coming in without being invited. Seeing that it was her assistant Karen, she quickly turned her attention back to what she was working on. Karen closed the door behind her making her way across the room over to Trish's desk. She reached in her pocket pulling out a small white piece of paper. Trish took the paper out of Karen's hand staring at it for a few seconds, noticing that it was the confirmation from Cold Pizza about her upcoming appearance on the show for the following day. She nodded in acceptance as she handed the paper back to Karen for safe keeping. After she finishes the set she was working on she pushes her chair back, eventually rising to her feet. She bends down picking daughter from the floor as Karen grabs Trish's travel bag. They make their way through the building reaching the company jet. After they were in their seats the jet took off. Trish leaned her head against the seat thinking about her upcoming television appearance. She hated the thought of sitting on a couch pretending to be enjoying herself while answering questions from a man who made Todd Grisham look smart but it was good publicity for the company and that was something she couldn't turn down. After what seemed like a matter of minutes the jet reached the airport in New York. As the jet comes to a stop the pilot comes over the speaker telling them that it's safe to get off. Trish unfastens her seatbelt and Crystal as Karen gets hers. They make their way off the plane to the waiting limo that Karen had ordered. Once they were inside Karen told the driver where they were headed. He nodded in acceptance putting the limo into gear. About twenty minutes later they finally reach the ESPN Studio where Cold Pizza was filmed. They make their way inside; checking in with a tall middle aged man, she soon learned was the show’s talent manager. She was informed that everything was just about ready and that she was being sent to make up right away. Trish handed Crystal over to Karen and followed the semi bald man over to a small makeshift makeup area, much like the ones she was used to seeing everyday. She made her way over to a director's styled chair, making herself comfortable. A few moments pass and she glances over at her watch. Noticing that she had been sitting there for five minutes she wondered where in the hell the makeup artist was. She rested her elbow on the arm and leaned her head against her fist letting out an irritated sigh as a rather annoyed look started to appear on her face. She was scheduled to get her hair and make up done before the press conference and as usual the makeup artist was late. Trish sat in the chair anxiously tapping her recently French manicured nails against the wood handles, glancing up at the clock grumbling to herself with each second that passed. She needed a way to calm herself down before she exploded on the poor woman. She reached into the pocket of her hip hugger jeans pulling out her metallic blue iPOD. Unwinding the headphones from around it she sticks them in her ears. Holding the player in front of her face she gets to her song list, looking for a song that will lighten her mood. A few seconds later she finds the song she was looking for and lays the player down on her lap. As “What Is It?by Baby Bash starts to play she leans her head against the cool concrete wall, closing her eyes. No sooner had the lyrics started she could feel the stress slowly start to diminish and not a moment to soon. The makeup artist rushed down the hall in Trish’s direction quickly getting in position behind Trish’s chair. Trish pulls her head up and turning around so that her back was facing the back of the chair, giving the makeup artist room to work. She started with Trish’s hair, quickly getting to her makeup. Within a matter of minutes Trish was done. She slid off the chair to the floor, pausing long enough to give the makeup artist a sarcastic thank you before walking off to where the talent manager was waiting. They made their way down a semi long hallway. Even through the thick concrete walls she could hear the low rumbling coming from the crowd inside. She knew it was good for business but she didn’t care. In her eyes this was just another interview and it was no secret how much she hated interviews. She let out a small groan as she continued down the hall, listening as the rumbling noise started to get louder. Moments later they finally reached the end of the hall coming upon a set of double steel doors. The talent manager grabbed the handle of the door pulling it towards him. He steps inside followed by Trish. He leads her to a plain blue curtain and instructs her that the host, Jay Crawford, would be ready for her in a minute. Trish nods staring at a small TV screen hanging from the ceiling. Jay was doing his usual opener which consisted of going through the top storylines of the day. Trish braced herself against the wall letting out a yawn. She was bored and didn’t care who knew it. Finally after what seemed like hours Jay finishes the headlines and announces they have a guest in the studio. Trish pushes herself off the wall just as Jay calls out her name. Her theme “Time to Rock ‘N?Roll?plays over the p.a. system as Trish makes her way onto the stage. She smiles and waves at all the fans that are cheering for her. Turning her gaze towards Jay she gives him the same type smile as she makes her way across the studio to the set. Jay led her over to an off chair positioned behind the coffee table before taking a seat in the chair to her right. As the music slowly starts to fade and the fans do as well Jay reaches over shaking Trish’s hand. Jay Crawford: Let me go on the record as saying that you’re such a beautiful woman, way to beautiful to be getting in the ring and wrestle with men. I’ve seen some of the men that are in that business and someone such as yourself could be setting themselves up for serious injury in a match like this. Trish Stratus: Why Jay?if I didn’t know better I’d think you were hitting on me (She laughs). I do appreciate the compliment; it’s not often that I hear something so nice. Jay Crawford: Jumping right into this, I know I touched on this earlier but this Sunday you’re going to be competing in a Fatal Fourway match for the Tag Team Titles which is going to be far from an easy match. Being a match made up of mostly men and you being one of the two women in this match. Does that change at all how you look at it? Trish Stratus: Not at all Jay. Being one of the only two women in this match isn’t even a factor for me. What I’m concerned about is getting the Tag Team Titles and finally bringing some class back to the belts. Jay Crawford: Looking at my notes here I see there’s some pretty big name teams involved in this. You’ve got The Rock and SVD, Mister Nyman and your ex husband Chris Jericho and of course Chris and Courtney Michaels. No matter what way you look at it you’re going to have your hands full. Is there any team in particular you’re keeping a closer eye on? Trish Stratus: To be quite honest Jay, there is only one them in there worth keeping an eye on and as much as I hate to say it it’s Chris and Courtney. The rest, to be honest, really don’t belong in this match. Let’s start with SVD and The Rock. You have SVD who quite frankly is in way over his head. The man lost the Television Title on his very first title defense to Justin Black. Doesn’t exactly spell out a tough challenge to me. Then you have The Rock, who should’ve done himself a huge favor and stuck with making his crappy b rated movies. Then we have Chris Jericho and Mister Nyman. The only challenge on that team is Nyman and he isn’t even that much. After being married to Chris, I can assure you he’ll come up short. That leaves us with Chris and Courtney. Both are quite tough competitors on their own and putting them together makes them almost impossible to beat. Jay Crawford: Almost impossible? Sounds to me like you doubt that you’ll be able to get passed them. Trish Stratus: On the contrary Jay. I realize my record against Chris is far from the best but it’s far from the worst either. In the few times we’ve faced each other I’ve managed to get a couple of wins over him. He’s one of the toughest we have to beat but he is beatable. As for Courtney, I’ll admit I have to get a win over her but hey there’s always a first time for everything. Jay Crawford: Rumor has it that your husband Deacon Havok isn’t going to be able to appear this Sunday and team with you. Surely his not being there is going to put an extra burden on you. Are you going to be able to get the job done alone? Trish Stratus: To be honest Jay, I haven’t had a chance to talk to Deacon since our honeymoon ended so I really have no idea if he’s going to be able to show or not. Don’t get me wrong if he does appear it will make it quite a bit easier to win but if he doesn’t then well, I have no choice but to go it alone. Jay Crawford: If you have to go into this match alone it’s going to add a whole degree of difficulty for you, especially with the added degree of facing six other people. Exactly how does one prepare themselves for this? Trish Stratus: There isn’t an exact way to prepare yourself. If by some chance Deacon isn’t able to be there and I have to go in this alone against six people then it’s pretty much going to be a slaughter on my end. Especially where Chris and Courtney are concerned. Either way Jay, if Deacon doesn’t show it’s definitely not going to be a very good night for me. Jay Crawford: Well Trish. Thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to stop by. I want to wish you the best of luck this Sunday. It was my pleasure to have you with us today. (He turns towards the monitor) Remember you can order Judgment Day at nine o’clock eastern time live on pay per view. Trish, thank you again for coming by. Coming up next a more detailed look at the Judgment Day Card?stay tuned. Trish flicked a stray piece of hair out of her face as she turned around, making her way across it to the small set of stairs she used when she made her way onto the stage an hour or so ago. After stepping off the final stair she headed down a small corridor to the double steel doors . She gives the doors a hard shove and steps out into the hallway, letting out a loud groan in frustration as she heads down to the waiting area where Karen was waiting with Crystal. She knew she shouldn’t be surprised by those questions for some reason she was. She shook her head trying to erase the idiotic questions from her memory but was very unsuccessful. Oh well, it gave the company some good promotion even if she had to endure a couple hours of complete and utter hell. She shrugged it off and continued down the hall. A few moments later she came upon a single wooden door. She stared at the door for a few seconds looking for the nameplate, Not seeing one she peered into the small window eventually seeing her daughter playing with some blocks on the floor. She pulled the door open and stepped inside. Crystal jumped up from the floor and ran over to her, wrapping her arms around her legs. Trish reached down and gave her a kiss on the forehead as Karen handed her Crystal’s coat. Trish helped her slide it on then picked her up. Once everyone was ready they made their way over to the door, stepping back out into the hallway. Eager to get out of there and onto something more pleasant Trish quickened her pace to the point where Karen had a hard time keeping up with her. Finally they reached the end of the hall and headed towards the entrance doors. Grabbing the handle Trish stepped out into the cold, holding Crystal close to her to keep her warm. The driver opened the door just as Trish reached the limo. She climbed inside sliding over to the far end so Karen could get in, sitting Crystal between them. Just as the limo started to pull out of the parking lot her phone started to ring. She reached into the pocket of her parka pulling out her baby pink RAZR. Flipping the phone open she saw Kaylee’s number come up on the caller id screen. She pressed the accept button, raising the phone up to ear as she started to speak. Trish Stratus: Hey girl, I take it you got my text message. Kaylee Adams McKenzie: Of course. Sorry I didn’t call you back sooner girl but I was in the middle of a quick workout session with Mike. Trish Stratus: Wanting to give Jason a good hard ass kicking are you? Remind me not to get on your bad side. Kaylee Adams McKenzie: The little prick deserves it after the shit he’s done. He’s made a big deal about me not moving on and having a problem with him screwing Serenity. I couldn’t give a rat’s ass who he crawls into bed with. Trish Stratus: It’s just his way of getting to ya girl. Ignore him. You’ve got two kids to think about, not what crap Jason’s giving you. Kaylee Adams McKenzie: Oh don’t worry I am. So tell me how was your appearance on Cold Pizza? Trish Stratus: Ugh…that’s something I’d rather not think about for a very long time. Kaylee Adams McKenzie: That bad was it? Mike had it on during our training session and from what I saw of it, it didn’t look to bad. Certainly not near as bad as some of the other interviews you’ve done. Trish Stratus: Oh my god, don’t remind me. Granted this guy wasn’t a total idiot like ninety percent of the others but still I could’ve found better things to do with my time than sit there and answer questions about who I think is the most challenging opponents or whether or not Deacon is going to be there or not. Kaylee Adams McKenzie: (She laughs) He actually asked you that? I’m sorry Trish but that’s way too funny. How on earth did he expect you to answer it, say ‘Yes my husband isn’t going to be there and I’m going in this alone? Trish Stratus: Knowing him I’m sure he did. Hey I haven’t talked to him since we got back from Santa Monica, I haven’t the slightest clue if he’s going to be able to be there or not. All I know is that if he doesn’t then I’m pretty much screwed cause there’s no way I’m going to be able to last against six other people by myself. Kaylee Adams McKenzie: You don’t really think he’s not going to show up are you? I can’t see Deacon leaving you alone to face six other people especially with two of them being Chris and Courtney. Trish Stratus: To be honest Kay I really don’t know. I try not to take stock in the rumors going around, otherwise I’d be full out crazy by now. If Deacon isn’t able to be there then there’s a good reason behind it. This isn’t Chris after all who was never around. Deacon wouldn’t leave me high and dry without having a reason. Kaylee Adams McKenzie: For your sake I hope not. You had enough problems when you were married to Chris, you certainly don’t need anymore. Trish Stratus: You’ll get no arguments from me on that one. Either way I’ve got more than enough to think about. I’ve got to find a way to have any hope of getting through this without getting totally destroyed. Which I can honestly tell you doesn’t look to promising. You might not be the only one retiring tomorrow night. After getting my ass handed to me I might be joining you, after I get out of the hospital that is. Kaylee Adams McKenzie: Don’t go talking like that. Everything is going to be fine…you’ll see that. SVD, you can beat. Your pain in the ass ex, you can beat. Mister Nyman, you can beat. The Rock, you can beat as well. The only ones you have to worry about is Chris and Courtney and Courtney hasn’t been around an arena in awhile so it might be as bad as you think. I think you’re letting what this guy said get to you. Trish Stratus: I can’t help it Kay! I’m busting my ass here and I have no idea what’s going on. It’s very frustrating. I’m seriously getting to the point where I don’t even care how this match comes out just as long as I’m able to walk out under my own power. If Deacon is there and I have some help then great but if not, then I’m prepared for what’s going to happen. Kaylee Adams McKenzie: If anything right now all you have is Mister Nyman and Chris Michaels, you can handle that on your own girl…trust me. As many times as you’ve dealt with Chris you know him like the back of your hand so there’s nothing for you to get stressed over. End of the day you can beat him, you just have to believe you can. Trish Stratus: Oh I know I can but I’m not going to hold my breath on the issue. If I win then I win, but if I don’t…it’s not like I’m not used to losing already you know? It’s not like I really care. The only reason I got into this match in the first place was because Deacon thought it would be the perfect thing to make us one of the premier couples around here. Kaylee Adams McKenzie: If I didn’t have this ass kicking with Jason you know I would so have your back on this. Trish Stratus: I know you would Kay and believe me I appreciate it. Kaylee Adams McKenzie: Have you given any thought on what you’re going to do in case Deacon isn’t there? Trish Stratus: You mean other than doing my best of not having my ass totally destroyed right? (She sighs) To be honest Kay, I really don’t have a plan. I know right now the only one I have to worry about is Chris but still I can’t focus entirely on him or I’m going to end up taking more of a beating then I will now. All I’m going to do is go in there and do what I have to do and hope for the best. Nothing else I can do really. This just isn’t how I pictured this match to go in any sense you know? Not that I pictured actually winning them but still. Kaylee Adams McKenzie: You could have fooled me with that interview you gave on Cold Pizza. Trish Stratus: What can I say, I’m a damn good lair? Hey listen Kay, we’re pulling up to the hotel so I’m going to let you go. After the two say their goodbyes she flips her phone closed and places it back in the pocket of her jacket just as the limo pulls into the parking lot. Eric coasts up to the front of the building coming to a stop in front of the doors. After killing the engine he gets out and walks around to the back, opening the left rear door. Trish slides out first, followed by Karen. They make their way up to the hotel, disappearing inside as the scene fades.
