Slitherin' Flowerpots
From the book, Crafts for Little Kids
Coil these painted bug-eyed snakes around your plants for a hissing good time. These flowerpots are too cute to
be scary.

What You'll Need:

 Clear, flat glass marbles
Acrylic paints
Paintbrushes
Pencil
Terra-cotta flowerpots
Paint markers
Thick white crafts glue
 Instructions:
1. To make the snake eyes, paint the flat sides of two marbles with dark lines down the center and white lines on both sides. Let the paint dry.
2. Using a pencil, sketch the snake's head and tongue along the rim of the flowerpot. Draw the snake's body wrapped around the pot, ending with a tail at the base.
3. Fill in the area between the pencil lines with paint, but leave several dots or stripes unpainted along the length of the snake's body to paint with a second color. Let the paint dry. Use a different color and a small paintbrush to finish by making small spots or stripes. Outline the head and any areas you like using paint markers.
4. Glue the eyes to the snake's head on the pot's rim. Let dry.
