Hi Annie and all! Sorry I haven't been around much but we've been on the move since December starting with that horrible ice storm in December and driving through 5 states to Arizona in it!
It took almost 3 days and nights driving non-stop except for gas and to change the baby to get to Tuba City, Az. to spend a week in a motel with 2 children and 2 dogs for a week while my daughter worked in the ER there.
Then the nursing travel agency moved us to Flagstaff where we all suffered from altitude sickness until they moved us to Tucson. We'll be moving to Wilcox, Az in a couple of weeks and hopefully will be able to stay there for at least a year.
The good news is Catie did have her first life-saving surgery in Phoenix. She's still having some issues so we have to take her back to see what's next but at least this neurosurgeon can see she's truly sick and is working on trying to find a solution for her. The neurosurgeons in Missouri just threw up there hands and tried to say she wasn't sick because they didn't understand or know what to do for her. Hopefully this neurosurgeon wll be able to resolve all of her issues since he's the best in the country and has a ton of awards for his work and research with complex cases like hers.
I hope all is well with you and yours.
