For who? Mr Murray..........Doh, after your little speech today you tell us who you are after, against all your usual rules, then what happens...........As i said on my previous post, I suspect the pressure is showing..... If Loovens signs for Celtic tonight, Murray will looses another chunk of credibility (regardless of what the player is worth or how long he has on his contract) |

Tomorrow's edition of The Herald is reporting that Pedro Mendes will sign for Rangers tomorrow for £2.5m. I'm not holding my breath, but it would be a very good deal. |

Celtic did bid for Whittaker and Thomson, but again only to try and stop us signing them after we'd been linked with them for ages. |

Ness Celtic were denied a derisory £300,000 bid for Hartley when MON was in charge! |

Oh yeh, that was seriously trying to sign him, eh ? |

Not forgetting, of course, their attempts to hijack the Kyle Lafferty deal as well. |

nessie, the fact that hartley was bidded for and celtic bid for lafferty back in january(hi jacking before rangers even bid, i don't even know how that's possible, can you explain it?) proves you wrong on both points and they did sing about scott brown at celtic park also |

Celtic's bid of £300,000 for Hartley doesn't count as a serious bid, Alltims. And Rangers bid for Lafferty in January as well, we've been over this debate before and I proved you wrong, you clearlt chose to ignore the evidence I provided (like the good lawyer you are ) and just decided to let it lie for a few weeks and pretend everybody had forgotten that. I have no wish to go down that boring line again. As for your assertion that we sang about taking Scott Brown at The Piggery, what exactly would be the point in us doing that ? We all know that you made that one up, Alltims. Another wee tip for your credibility - you won't get away with that sort of thing in a courtroom. |

Anyway, getting back to the point of this thread before it goes off into a pointless "he said, she said" debate, it really was no surprise that Loovens chose Celtic when their interest became concrete. At the moment, any player who doesn't already have an allegiance to either club will choose Celtic over Rangers, purely because they are champions, they are in the Champions League, and they are a more attractive proposition at the moment. Liewell knows that, and what he is doing is not rocket science. And the only people to blame are David Murray, Martin Bain and Walter Smith. |

Surprised by the Loovens signing, can only assume he has improved on when I saw him 2 years ago playing for Cardiff and looking an absolute liability, including a corking own goal! |

It appears Gordon Strachan may share your opinion. |

on celticfc.net, choose to believe or not
As he sat next to his new recruit, the manager revealed that Loovens had been watched by Ray Clarke, Celtic’s Head of International Scouting, for a number of years. |

The Celtic fans' thoughts on Loovens now would be interesting. |

Rangers clearly plan to screw up C*ltic's signing policy for this window by not being linked or actually attempting to sign anybody |
