This Saturday sees Celtic away to St Mirren at Paisley with the game set to finish around 14:30. Rangers play Aberdeen at Ibrox with a 15:00 ko. Is it just me or could this be a bad descision by the SPL which could ultimately lead to trouble?

It only takes 15mins in the car. As well as Ibrox being next to Paisly road west which will be used by many Celtic fans on the way home.Add this to Aberdeen fans being in town in things could easily turn ugly.

The Celtic support leaving Love Street will be passing Ibrox on the motorway and on Paisley Road just as the fans are gathering at Ibrox, gary has a good point here.

The motorway around Ibrox on matchdays is usually very slow or even stationary at times, particularly when there are roadworks. There is a potential for the fans meeting on the road, yes.

i'd say it won't be much more than matchday hardmen shouting from supporters bus windows

Yeh, it's unlikely anything will happen, however there is undoubtedly the potential for something to happen.

It only takes 10 minutes in the train. The problem is that, as we all know, some fans leave matches incredibly early these days plus there are always many stragglers arriving after kick-off time at most matches.
Personally I don't expect any trouble but the police won't be happy with the scheduling I'm quite sure. We all know TV rules the game now anyway.
