Borat's challenge on the St Mirren striker. Putting aside the last man/genuine goalscoring chance angle, the tackle alone is worthy of a straight red. Who says so? Well John Hartson for one.

Compare and contrast, David Clarkson's red card at Porkheed the other week and Borat's studs first, clearly deliberate take-out of the St Mirren striker. And people wonder why questions are being asked.

And last season's red card for Allan McGregor at Easter Road when television proved that he took some of the ball in the challenge. Even on appeal with said television evidence the red card was not overturned.

Every single mhedia pundit agrees with you Alltims, including guys who staunchly defend Celtic under any circumstance like Murdo McLeod. The only person who didn't think it was a red card was referee Willie Collum.

Now bear in mind that this referee is only in his 2nd season as a grade 1 official. Prior to that he was a referee at junior level in Scotland, and he refereed a good few games involving Rutherglen Glencairn. He had a very poor reputation amongst the junior scene and had a reputation as a referee who was red card happy.

Isn't it strange now then, given the most blatantly obvious red card, that he decides only to show yellow on this occasion ?

I watched 'The Full SPL' for the first time in ages tonight. Nice and impartial panel as usual. Barry 'elbows' Robson and Jim Duffy. It took Duffy about two seconds to tell us that a yellow card was the correct decision because, apparently, Borat tried to pull out at the last minute

I watched on till the Rangers game whereafter the analysis talked about Rangers & Aberdeen for a couple of minutes before the conversation was turned back to C*ltic. I immediately reached for the off button.
