There's one thing that unites the Old Firm fans this weekend. All of us are looking at our goalkeepers and thinking "Hmmm". Some are probably being less tactful than that, actually !

Allan McGregor was dropped earlier this season because Walter Smith felt he had rushed him back from injury and his mind wasn't right. Neil Alexander came in for three games, all of which Rangers won, and was then remarkably put back on the bench after keeping a clean sheet in Rangers' 3-0 win at Easter Road, with McGregor supposedly fit and in the right frame of mind again. McGregor returned for the away defeat to St Mirren, losing a bad goal, and followed it up the following week losing another soft one away to Hamilton Academical. Question marks were asked about the soft goals we lost to Dundee United in the draw at Ibrox, and then we had yesterday's howler.

Meanwhile, over the city, Artur Boruc appears to be the new untouchable. He has been performing particularly poorly all season now, and yet he still gets picked. Mark Brown came in for three games while Boruc was injured, and kept two clean sheets, but was still dumped back onto the bench when The RPHG was fit again.

One look at the Old Firm's goals against record in the league so far this season tells the story - Celtic have conceded 17 goals in the 17 games played so far, and Rangers 14 goals in the 17 games. Neither of these stats is championship-winning form defensively.

Your thoughts ?

i'd like to see that Dominic Cervi guy given a run out to see what he's made of, Boruc definately needs a boot up the arse to get his act together and while he's at it,he can quit the fags. I think he let alot of family problems affect him on the pitch, remember how it affected John Hartson.

On anoher note, why the Tricolour in the Hibee section, i know they were founded by the Irish but i thought that wasn't relevant to them

By the way, I was particularly impressed by the top class assist from Brown9 in the build-up.

As you can probably imagine, FF are particularly enjoying Boruc's latest "moment" :-

And from the Hibernian fans' website :-

"YOU PUT YOUR RIGHT HAND UP
YOUR LEFT HAND DOWN
YOU DROP THE BALL AND YOU LOOK LIKE A CLOWN
YOU DO THE HOLY GOALIE AND YOU TURN AROUND
NEXT THING YOU'RE 2 - 0 DOWN !"

larsson? a smoker?? really?

look at skippy and donati hardly the two fittest players in the squad.
it directly affects fitness and boruc is getting less and less quick on his feet which use to be one of qualities as a keeper. I can see Boruc looking like Neville Southall or Andy Goram unless he gets his fitness together

nope, not saying either of them were bad keepers but i'm saying boruc will lose his quick reactions which thinking about....... makes he a pretty useless keeper without

You were suggesting that Andy Goram is overweight. I met Andy Goram in July at the opening of Glencairn's new ground and he was slimmer than he was when he was a player.

Oh he was, but it never affected his performance the way it has Boruc.
