After last night's ridiculous red card, how many players would be left on the park in an Old Firm game if that team of officials were in charge of the game ?

I dont think the reasons for suggesting foreign refs is due the difference in ability its to take away the doubt of which side they support paranoia

We'd still get that nonsense. Could you imagine a referee from Italy or Holland being appointed and the paranoia that would produce ?

i think if people want to find something suspicious they will and they will take every single mistake a referee makes and turn it to a conspiracy.

least they wont be able question what football top they had in school or what school he sends his kids to

Oh I don't know about that either. Apparently Nacho Novo used to wear a Rangers strip as a schoolboy.

I personally would rather the refs were making honest mistakes rather than the dishonest ones we see on a weekly basis in this country.

As for foreign refs sending multiple players off I think that may be just what the Scottish game needs. I've often said that if a foreign ref was in charge of, for example, Motherwell vs Rangers at Fir Park it would be much easier for Rangers to win as every OTT challenge would be punished.
