Inspired by one of Nessie's replies to my covert thy neighbours ass thread and reading the where are they now? thread got me to thinking - which notable names played in the first game you attended or the first game you can remember attended?

Mine was April 26th 1986, and playing for Derby County that day were Mickey 'Fraudster' Thomas, perhaps most famous for a wonder goal for Wrexham against Arsenal in the FA Cup nand infamous for spending time in prison, as well as future Villa boss John Gregory and doomed dunce Steve MacLaren.  Rangers fans will no doubt recall Terry Hurlock, who played for Reading that day.

For Rangers, my first memory of attending a match is the Scottish Cup Final of 1976 :-

Peter McCloy, Alex Miller, Tom Forsyth, Colin Jackson, John Greig, Tommy McLean, Bobby McKean, Johnny Hamilton, Alex McDonald, Derek Johnstone, Martin Henderson. (Sub used - Sandy Jardine.)

Although I do remember attending an exhibition match when I was younger involving Jim Baxter. I remember him nutmegging a player and the crowd roaring.

For Glencairn, my first memory was the 1975 Scottish Junior Cup semi-final v Kilbirnie Ladeside at Rugby Park, Kilmarnock, and I remember our goalkeeper Tony Ward particularly.
