While watching Rangers chase the game, I noted that Celtic were able to snuff out our midfield all of a sudden, as if by magic, then I noted that our 3 best players (argualbly) were basically to close together, and there was not clear instruction for one of them to take charge, Fergie, Mendes and Davis were all chasing the "starting ball" all very close together, they needed to spread out to force the Celitic midfield to chase more. Did anyone else get this impression, maybe the TV emphasised it more.

Davis, Mendes and Ferguson, while all good players, are all right of centre midfielders. So naturally they tend to play very narrow. Davis is playing right midfield at the moment out of necessity, however he is far more effective tucked in. Ferguson is playing the left central role that Kevin Thomson fills superbly.

It's no coincidence that Rangers have won all five Old Firm clashes that Kevin Thomson has played in since he joined Rangers, and lost all three that he has missed. He does so much for the team, all the dirty work, the sort of job that Stuart McCall used to do.

It has been quite noticeable for a few weeks now that what you say has been happening. The young Spaniard who came on recently looked very comfortable playing wide left but, as we all know, Walter is very loathe to give young guys a decent run in the team. Instead he he continues to use Adam and McCulloch who he should be thinking of selling. Lafferty also is being used as a winger when it is obvious to everbody that he is anything but. Beasley is too light and is not suited to the Scottish game. He falls over too much even when there's no wind. Burke is another who has flattered to deceive. On Saturday we desparately neede someone to calm things down and put their foot on the ball. Is Hemdani still at Ibrox?

I understand that Brahim Hemdani is injured long term.

Hemdani is injured,

for me what we needed was a leader to take hold of the situation and force a space between them, tell either Fergie or mendes to go and find space and then create, it was like watching BB football with the 3 of them playing Barry's it ma Baw game.

Oi, I was captain of my BB team, played central midfield and wore no.6 fairly often and am called Ferguson, I was never an "it's ma baw" player.
