Rangers v Falkirk - Saturday, 3pm

A must-win match for Rangers, simple as that. Any slip-up will be "unforgiveable" (© TGO 2009 ). There is speculation that young John Fleck could get his first start tomorrow, and if that is the case I'd like to see him replace Kenny Miller and play in the hole behind Boyd where I think he could hurt teams. Miller is clearly still struggling from his hamstring injury and needs to be given time to clear it up. The prospect of Fleck playing in that position combined with the return of Naismith on the left could make us quite an attractive team to watch again.

It's a match we should be winning, no excuses please Walter.

Aberdeen v Celtic - Sunday, 2pm

Another one of these "hmmm, maybe" matches. Having said that, Celtic's record at Pittodrie is pretty good, Aberdeen never seem to get themselves up for the game the way they do against Rangers. Aberdeen have a better record at The Piggery in recent years than they have at Pittodrie against Celtic.

Having said that, Aberdeen are on a good wee run of form (5 wins in their last 6 matches), and they are thinking about a UEFA Europa League place now. I do expect Celtic to have too much for them though, a narrow away win for me. Will McGeady keep his place now that Celtic are back to SPL business and not playing against a first division team ?

Your thoughts ?

It would actually be a smart move by Walter Smith to put in John Fleck tomorrow because if he does well maybe scores a goal or two, Rangers fans would be given a boost of confidence as Kris Boyd seems to be on his way out

I do think McGeady will start tomorrow, lack of pace on the wings and lack of good playmaking in Pittodrie is not a smart idea and WGS being a former Aberdeen player and fan, i'd expect him to follow them enough to know that

Kris Boyd doesn't give me the impression that he's in a hurry to go anywhere, to be honest.

True but Rangers seem to want him out

Yes, but at the end of the day he has a contract at Ibrox. If he doesn't want to go anywhere, Rangers can't do anything about it. Look at Bobo Balde.

but the person who picks the starting XI, seems to be one the people who wants him to go and my point about John Fleck still stands

Walter Smith wouldn't be picking Kris Boyd every week if he wanted him to go. Walter has no say in this matter, it's David Murray who is pulling the strings here, and his puppets at the club have no choice but to toe the line.

Rangers 3 Falkirk 1

We got there in the end. I wasn't at the game but I listened to it on the radio and it sounded like we totally dominated and it was only a matter of time before we scored the goals we needed. Fleck made his debut and looked like he'd been in the team for years.

Boyd again.

Aberdeen 4 Celtic 2

Well well well, I didn't expect that. Aberdeen's reactions to both of Celtic's equalisers were excellent. On both occasions I expected Celtic to steamroller Aberdeen, but instead The Dons went back in front very quickly both times.

Celtic have now conceded 24 goals in their 22 league matches. I've never been convinced about Caldwell and McManus, and you can see how Boruc keeps his place so easily despite the constant cock-ups because Brown is rubbish, Rangers rejected him a long long time ago.

So it's "game on" now eh ?
