Rangers v Celtic - Saturday 27th December 2008 - 12.30pm

So here we go.  A full week's build up. No midweek match distractions for either side, although there is the small matter of Christmas Day in the middle for the fans, but as we all know that won't stop training for either side.

The week will probably be full of the "will he won't he" regarding McGeady, which will suit me fine. That'll hopefully keep the attention off Rangers and allow us to prepare quietly.

As things stand, the Rangers team looks to be fairly predictable. The only question is whether Madjid Bougherra will be fit enough to return, and whether Walter will opt for the extra out-and-out midfielder on the left in Lee McCulloch, or stick with the more forward-going Kyle Lafferty. Knowing Walter he'll go with the more cautious approach and McCulloch, but it's hard to argue with that as the key to winning Old Firm games is always in winning the midfield battle.

Celtic's team is less predictable, however. The centre back pairing seems to change with every game at the moment, but I expect them to go back to Caldwell and McManus for this one. If Caldwell plays in midfield with Loovens at the back, that'll suit us just fine. Nakamura will play on the right, McGeady on the left (despite Mizuno's goal today), and I reckon it'll be Brown9 and Robson in the middle, with Robson elbowing Mendes or Ferguson inside 2 minutes. Samaras and McDonald will play up front.

The other big question is what antics will The Roly Poly Holey Goalie get up to this time ?

Your thoughts ?
