Without a doubt the highlight of 2009 is Manchester. It's a pity however that the memory is slightly soured by what happened before and afterwards.

 

It's beyond argument that the Scottish game, driven by one prominant club but with everybody acting to their own self-interest, put every obstacle possible in Rangers way leading up to that day. Assuming I'm still around I suspect I'll be moaning about this in 20-30 years time. I'll certainly be casting it up every time somebody tells me I should be getting behind "the Scottish team" when C*ltic or anybody else is playing in Europe.
