I hope that one day I will be able to repeat that day in Manchester somewhere in Europe for another final involving Rangers. One thing's for sure, if it happens, I will do everything in my power to be there, even if it's being held in Moscow or something like that.

League titles are great, but in my 24 years as a season ticket holder at Ibrox I've witnessed 14 league championships, 8 Scottish Cup triumphs and 13 Scottish League Cup triumphs. That's 35 domestic trophy wins in my 24 years as a season ticket holder.

But without question the highlight of my time as a supporter of Rangers Football Clubwas Wednesday 14th May 2008. For me it was better than Helicopter Sunday, better than winning the league at The Piggery, better than beating Celtic at Hampden to win The Treble in Advocaat's first season.

The fact that it was just down the road from us and so many of the Rangers family were able to be a part of it made it that wee bit more magical. It was as if the M74 and M6 had been set aside exclusively for the use of the Rangers support that day. Every bridge going south had some sort of good luck message draped from it, almost every vehicle on the road had some sort of red white and blue regalia on it.

I have to say I was absolutely taken aback by the crowds that were there, you simply had to be there to get some sort of concept of how huge the numbers were. There are Celtic fans who guffaw at the reports of 200,000 Rangers fans being there, but believe me, it was a realistic figure.

Will we see something like that again soon ? Well, you never know. When Celtic made it to Seville five years ago we were all told that it was a one-off, but less than half a decade later we had matched it.

The Champions League is where the big money is, but Rangers and Celtic are never going to get close to the final in its current format unless we can get out of the SPL and unleash our true potential. How will the new UEFA Europa League compare ? It'll be the poor little brother, obviously, but reaching the final will still be an enormous achievement, but nevertheless a realistic proposition for all Old Firm fans.
