It was quite refreshing to see someone from the other side being honest and brave enough to point out a lot of the negative things regarding his team that are generally swept under the carpet by the Scottish media. His comments did not surprise me as I have many friends who are fellow supporters of his team and they too regularly moan about some of what they see and hear, both at home and away matches.

I don't agree with everthing that is said, however, especially the part about being great fans in the past when things were not going well. I'm old enough to remember many occasions when they didn't exactly cover themselves in glory and let their team down. There was also many times when they deserted matches in droves long before the final whistle.

One area which I do agree with is how supporters get on the back of one or two players and no matter how hard the player tries to prove himself the fans are always on his back. At Ibrox this has been a regular thing every season and one player is always selected for the treatment. One season I even recall Wilkins getting stick from a guy behind me at nearly every home game.
