Looks like Fergie is for the off after all. Putting financial aspects aside I reckon this could be a good idea as long as a winger/wide attacking midfield player is purchased before the window closes. Davis, Mendes, Thomson & Edu provide sufficient options for centre midfield with three of them having young legs capable of providing the drive we need.
 
The question is, as Nessie raised on another thread, is it coincidence that Boyd and Ferguson are both pushed out the door at the same time? Not for me, I think that Walter & Ally have realised that Ferguson's influence on the team & dressing room is actually negative and have decided to root out the source of previous and possibly current unrest.
