Lennon has a long history of strutting about in Glasgow city centre looking for trouble. In his pomp at C*ltic he used to go clubbing with a team of minders and many an impertinant upstart was dismissed by his bruisers.

There is no defence for these two guys for one reason only, that they continued to punch and kick him when he went down. If it had been restricted to a simple exchange of blows with Lennon getting a second prise after starting it (which witnesses said he did) then perhaps it would have been Lennon in the dock. Because these guys continued to kick him after he went down they deserve everything they got.

The reporting of this incident tonight has been interesting of course. The always impartial BBC  started their report screaming that two RANGERS FANS! (almost shouted) had been found guilty of a brutal assault on Lennon. The report contained not a single word of critisism of Lennon himself despite evidence in court that he was blind drunk and acting aggressively himself. A fine role model for his young fans is our Neil.
