The Scotsport shows of the last few years were an insult to anybody's intelligence, and as usual were packed full of ex-Celtic players and pro-Celtic or anti-Rangers journalists, e.g. McNee, Speirs, McPherson, Walker, Duffy, Nevin.

It was also billed every week to start at 11pm, but the programme never ever started before 11.10pm due to the number of adverts they packed in before it. Then they would spend 10 minutes telling us about what was going to be in the programme, then their "dream ticket" competition (prize was never anything interesting) followed by another advert break. There was rarely any action to be seen before 11.25pm, and one side of the Old Firm's highlights were always left to the very last game, just to keep the viewers on till about 12.20am.

When Virgin Media started giving Setanta Sports free to their XL package customers when they fell out with Sky, STV were the ones to suffer as nobody bothered watching Scotsport after that.
