I do wear a ring to show my commitment to my husband.
I have been in a situation where I work that a customer approached me and was chatting and kept trying to look at my hand. After a few minutes he said..."I was just trying to see if you were wearing a ring" I showed him my ring and told him that I was happily married for 15 years at that time. ....that ended the conversation.

Rings are like makeup. Some splash makeup on and it looks like s bsd paint job.

I have seen rings that are nice but then I have seen some that look like "Hey Look At ME!"

I wore my wedding band for many years. The head lineman told me that i better be careful with that thing on my finger. I was not worried because I wore my rubber gloves. (I knew that electricity loves gold and silver)
One day I was cutting a line down and something on that 300 foot of wire caught that wedding band. I was stretched out withthat wire hung on my ring. Guess where that ring was after that. On my key chain. I have not worn it for thirty years.

I dont think the wedding bands mean anything anymore.All that shows that yes you are married but it dont stop people from having affairs.

Being single in the upc for many years prior to being married, nothing was more humiliating than talking to a woman who would come up and introduce herself as "sister so and so" and talk for maybe 20 minutes and a few times ask the lady if she wanted to get a bite to eat(tgis would be after service) just to have both our faces turn red as she told me she was married with 6 kids.My wife and I wear wedding rings so there is NO question as to whether we are married or not.If it offends others, let them be offended unto death. I have heard preachers say "if married people would ACT like married people,,,", well then Id have to say married women should NEVER greet a single man in church and should stay by their husbands ,If their husbands dont go to church then stay with all the other women whose husbands dont go to church in a little click.They can have a sign up explaining the little group being married women whose husbands dont attend OR they can wear wedding rings.Take your pick.

I, AN APOTOLIC, JESUS NAME WOMAN DO WEAR A WEDDING RING. I HAVE NEVER FELT CONDENMED OVER IT, I ALSO WEAR A WATCH, THAT SOME CONSIDER JEWELRY.

I FIND THAT SOME ARE CONVICTED OF IT AND IF THAT IS THE CASE THEN THEY SHOULD FOLLOW THEIR CONVICTIONS.

hmm interesting comments. ..
what I would like to say is that no matter if you think wedding rings are right or wrong... today many people wear rings on just about every finger and also in different countries there is different customs on which finger you wear the wedding ring on

Billy, an electrician should wear NO jewelry.

Yea Wonder, but as a young buck lineman we know it all don't we!

I saw a mechanic yesterday who was going to do a quicky wellding job. You know, tack it and go. A speck of slag stuck to the top of that ring and cooked the top of his finger before he could knock it off.

Live and Learn I guess huh.

Well it doesn't really matter what we THINK, it is what "thus saith the Lord."

Paul says that women should adorn themselves in modest apparel. Paul mentions braided hair, gold, pearls, and costly array. Read it for yourself and be honest. Don't lean to your own understanding but lean to truth.

1 Peter 3:3 (King James Version)
3Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;

Also in I Timothy, Peter is showing that a Christian woman’s conduct should be adorned with a meek and quiet spirit, and not with the outward appearance of elaborate plaiting and braiding of hair.

1 Timothy 2:9 (King James Version)
9In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

How plain does it have to get before people actually believe it? I guess people really do just believe what they want to believe. I will stick to the script....
