Hi--I didnt know I had a box here! Thank you to who ever made it for me! I just find it myself.

Sis Barton,
I never belong to Emmanuel, but I was save there at a revival on a Tuesday night. I went down and I was filled with the Holy Ghost and the following Sun night I was baptise in Jesus' name. My boyfrined who later became my husband was UPC, my folks' independent apostolics.

Do you know The Haneys, the Milsaps and there was a family that had a music store over on Buckner, a big family with a bunch of kids, all very talented, can't remember there names, last name Strain, or something like that. Bro and Sis Toles, they was old time brush arbor people, she was a preacher and took the oneness message all over Texas when Pentecost was just started. I love to here her talk about them times, I was just a little girl but I remember her and him, to. Then Bro Phillip and sis Barbara Nottingham come out here to Balch Springs and start a little work in a old community building back in the woods and we help them for awhile but go on to join Bro Breon's church and get in the IMA fellowship, which I am still in. There is only 4 or 5 churches left in our area fellowship but we still have our meetings quarterly and conferences  once a year.

We kind of bounced around from one to another but we went to Bro Fred Shindoll's UPC church in Oak Cliff for a little while, but he retire and Bro. Galloway come in, he and sis Galloway have two girls, Cheryl and Carol. We left there and went into Bro Nulisch's church back then. We wasnt in good accord because we liked the different orgs and the way the churchs run was different but we did OK until he lose his job and start sitten around the house to much. Next thing I know he backslid and start drinken and smoken and pick up all kinds of bad stuff. He finely leave me but is living with his mom and going to a UPC church now, he said he pray back thru and want to come home, but I want to see if it going to last first. I dont trust him, that is sad after all these years, but he broke it, and it going to have to be him who glue it back to gather, with Gods help. I am waiten to see, sort of like waiten for the other shoe to drop, you know?

Do you no any of these folks I write about? Oh, yeah, Emmanuel is move out to Mesquite--that one town over from me, and that is a very big and beautiful church on a hill overlooking the highway. It is pastored by Bro Paul Hosch Jr.

Well, anyways, I do gab on sometimes. LOL.

Lord bless you,
Cat

Hi Sis Cat,
Happy we finally made a connection here. I believe Sis Lisa made the mail box for you.She is such a nice lady.praise the Lord for her dedication here.
I have heard of some of these folks. My husband probably knows more of them as he grew up in Dallas and Oak Cliff. I'm a Georgia girl, he and I met in 1967 when he was stationed at Ft Benning and attende my home church.
In 2004 we visited my sis-in-law and other family for a few weeks. We saw the new church in Mesquite as we drove on the interstate.
Bro Hosch only had daughters Paula and Thomas Ann. The pastor now is Bro Richard Flowers. We were still in TX when Bro Hosch retired and Bro Flowers was voted in as the pastor. Bro Hosch was pastor Emertius up til he died in 1987. My what a servie his funeral was. I miss him.Fortunately we have many of his sermons on tape and video.
Since I received the Holy Ghost in 1961 and the lord led me into the truth.I have always attende a UPC  Church.  I thank the Lord for the Truth and all the pioners of that sacraficed so much for this gosple. I see al ot of changes in many org,but the Bible and Truth will never change or God's plan of Salvation.
God Bless  and so happy to get to know you better. I will ask my hubby about these folks you mentioned.
 Blessings,
Sis Barton

I was told the pastor was Bro Hosch's son and I did not think to questoin it. Thank you for telling me, I want to visit there soon and see the inside of that church and worship with the saints there and it would be imbaressen to say something like, "You know, you dad baptise me!" or something.--LOL!!

Oh I remember the family name with the music store, Speirs. They was famous in apostolic circles, had ever kind of instrument and sheet music you could think of. I used to sing "Ten thousand angels" and "He touched me" at Bro Nottingham's church at fellowship meetings, whichever one was requested.

Do you remember them big, nice cardboard music sheets, fold in the middle and stand up so you can see to read them? Big letters and notes, to. They was nice.

That's ok Sis Cat. I had heard someone else say Bro Hosch had a son.lol many are refering to Bro Nick Hosch his youngest brother.Bro Nick is getting up there in years now too.
I heard it takes almost 2 hours to tour the new church.my what a blessing. I would need a guide for sure as I would get lost. I hope we will get to see it one day.Enjoy your visit and fellowship with them.
Bro Barton knows all of these people you mentioned. I had only heard of Bro. Shindoll and also Bro Nulisch. I never went to their churches ,but heard of them.
It is so nice to meet you. Hope you have a great evening.
