never think that there is such a thing as a silly question - while it might sound like a  bit of a cliché, it is also very true that there is no such thing as silly questions.
 
I am not right sure whether you have already quit smoking and using nicotine or not.
If you have: big, big congratulations!!!
If you haven't: go for it!! NOW!!!
 
Will you have to put on weight?
Have a look at the Weight gain - section on  WhyQuit.Com, where you will find a lot of info and food for thought.

There are also many quitters who have gained weight in the first couple of months or so and then lost it again - and there are even people who can say "We actually lost weight!"

I copied the last two paragraphs out of another thread here on the board that might be interesting for you to read, if you haven't seen it already: "Scared to quit" ... and I just noticed that I used the word "food" there - well, at least this kind of food will not make you put weight on!
