So Trees, you're running 5 km everyday as a smoker?  Imagine how much farther and faster you could run if you *didn't* smoke!
 
As far as weight gain goes, you gain weight if you eat more and move less--not because you quit smoking.  Even if by some odd chance you do gain weight, you would have to gain almost 100 pounds to equal the health risks due to smoking.  Most likely, quitting smoking will serve as a springboard to make more healthy changes.
