Thank You Joel and to all of you who responded to my message... Well? Do you want the good news or the better news? The good news is that as of nine o'clock this morning, I quit. I squashed up my last 18 cigarettes and threw them in the trash. When I got home, I threw away anything that I associate with smoking. The better news is that my husband decided to join me on this journey (could get scary for the next couple of days) and that I'm really not having too hard a time of it so far. Let's see, it's been 8 hours... jeez, that doesn't sound like very long... but it FEELS like a long time! :-) I'm very determined and I think that's why quitting doesn't seem too bad. The withdrawal isn't very intense but I can't concentrate. I've had some juice and it seems to help. But anyway friends, I did it. I quit. One half hour at a time. :-) Wish me luck! Thanks all! AMS |
