BEEF BRISKET AU VIN:


Ingredients

3-5 LB. Beef brisket
6 bay leaves
3/4 tsp. marjoram
1 tsp. celery salt
1 can of onion soup (do not dilute)
6 cups of sangria (fruit wine)
!/2 lb. fresh mushrooms

Procedure

Sprinkle garlic salt on both sides of brisket.  Place in shallow roasting pan, add remaining ingredients,(except mushrooms) pour wine over all. Cook 3 hrs, uncovered at 325. (till tender), turning every hour, adding more wine if necessary) Clean and slice mushrooms thinly and add during last 1/2 hour.
Gravy made from drippings.
Serves a crowd. Slice it thinly.
