Saute a medium onion (chopped) and a bell pepper(chopped)
in small amount of oil
Add 2 lbs ground beef and brown
Then add:
1 small can of tomato paste
3 Tablespoons Chili powder
2 Tablespoons Whole Cummin Seed
1 Bay Leaf
2 Tablespoons ketchup
2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
2 - 8oz cans of chopped tomatoes
Dash of Tabasco
1 Cup of water
Salt and pepper to taste
Add 2 cans of beans
Cook for 2 hours
This isn't Tex-mex chili, more of a NY or Boston Chili
