Hi - the only info I have is regarding a Panama that I cared for for several years - he was over 50 years old, and sadly died last year. He was a fine old guy, but not a prolific talker. Although many species are known for their talking ability, there's never a guarantee. I never heard that Panamas were unusually great talkers, I think that title usually goes to the DYH or the YN. (And still - not always true.) Also, I would think that a Panama might be more difficult to come by - do you already know of a breeder or an available bird? Well, as I said, the only Panama I've known was a sweet character, so I'm sure that if that's what you end up with you'll love him - talker or no talker. |

Excellent choice they can be real suck-ups for attention. lol! Good site to check out: Make sure that you take the time to spend with the new sweety, otherwise they can become rather fat, and are more promne to liver problems. (most amazons can become sedentary) But these guys do make great buddies! |
