He is just wonderful. I can't believe how much we have come along. I can pet him, scratch him, pet his nose, grab at his nose and play, tickle him, grab his legs, unbelievable!! I just love it. Scratch and pet under his wings too. He even stepped up once for me when he was on the floor but then he knew he was on my hand and flew to his cage. I basically can do anything with him except pick him up. I am sure after awhile he will let me. He is so much fun!!! Always playing, singing, talking. Just love it. Can you guys believe this! I am amazed. He loves his people food for sure. I have a picture to show all of you but I need to resize it and having trouble again. I will try this week and I will try to get a picture of me playing with him. Patti |

He's gorgeous! He almost looks like velvet, instead of feathers. That's a really good picture. And just calling him "Fig" instead of his longer name is cool. It fits him well. |

Hi, thanks for posting the picture. I will try adding more when I get more pictures. I will try to have my husband take a picture while I am playing with him to show you how friendly he is with me. You will be amazed! I am use to his scent now and it barely is noticable to me know. In fact, noone even mentions it anymore. talk to you soon Patti |

Hi Patti, You're fig is beautiful! He reminds me of Wheezer wwhen she was younger. I have some funny photos of Wheezie taking showers.I used to say "Be Batman" and Wheezer would hold her wing in front of her beak, so just her eyes were showing. It was so cute! I can't post a photo into the message though. I can't even change fonts. There is no bar above the message box. It's weird 'cause I always used to be able to post photos without attaching them. I know what you mean about the smell. I got used to it really fast. Only others can smell it now. Fig looks so sweet. Leigh |

Hi Wheezer is a Yellow Naped Amazon. I put a photo of her up dry and all pretty a couple of weeks ago, but not in an album. She doesn't like taking showers that much anymore since she's been sick. Although she will take a bath on her own in her cage in a bowl of water. Leigh |

Wow...! Fig is so pretty! Um... I mean, handsome. He sure looks like he's digging in and enjoying his supper there! I'm so happy for you. And happy for Fig too that he found such a wonderful new owner. You both seem very content and satisfied. Are you still in contact with his previous owner? She must miss him. Send her the pic, I'm sure she'd love to see how well he's doing. And Leigh, I'm so glad to see you... I've been wondering how you and Wheezie were doing. Has she improved any with her medication? She's such a beautiful girl. I loved the photo you posted previously of her in your living room, she looked like she belonged... she matched! |

Leigh, love the pictures thanks. Figaro is a yellow head also.
Yes I still keep in touch with the previous owner. She misses him a lot and thinks of him often. I sent the picture to her too. She was happy I did. She may come over Sat to clip his wings for me. I could do but thought it would be best for her to do.( I have been holding on to his toes and clipping his nails - no problem. ) She has been so busy with her new baby and 2 other sons. I truly can't see why she let him go, honestly, he is so good. It was sad and I know she still is sad about it.
He is so entertaining and entertains himself. My guess is the cleanup and feeding time for him. I find I worry more about him about feeding than the others as he doesn't eat as much pellets as Clouseau so I have to be sure he gets our food everyday. Of course, the pellets are always in his bowl.

Patti, I've meant to tell you that my 17 year old Blue Front Amazon eats "people food" as the majority of her food ~ always has. Next, she eats pellets. And lastly, she eats seeds, but very little. Also, loves millet spray. |
