Please keep Linda (Ottabeme) in your thoughts and prayers tonight. She wrote the following in another thread: ... please say an extra prayer for me tonight. Nothing life threatening, but I had a job interview today that would be a great opportunity (and pay increase) and it can't hurt to ask for assistance. Thanks, Everyone! Abby |

Gosh, and I was kinda worried about asking for prayers for something like a job. Sure is nice to see such outpouring of good thoughts and belief in prayer.
I took the day off because a friend is coming in town for a few hours (he lives in Miami and yes he has birds too). We haven't had rain for months, but of course its pouring today. Can't complain we need the water, but timing right now is awful. I planned to put him to work in the yard. Wanted a few branches down, a few things out of the garage and lightbulbs up high changed. Oh well, guess he will just have to take me out someplace instead.

Thought I would let you know I had a great day off visiting with my friend. We went to Jungle Jim's, Costco, Frisch's, drove around town, changed the light bulbs, went to have wings at Wild Mikes and it was a nice day even with rain. Hoping and praying that when I go to work tomorrow there is a second interview scheduled.

Still praying hard here. Sent a thank you note for the interview but I have not heard a thing. I will call the human resource mgr. late today if I don't hear something.
They had over 150 applicants. Still hoping and praying.

Omigosh!! 150 applicants!~ I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers that you soon receive some good news about this job. I just finally got a job myself after a long time looking and know how nerve-wracking it can be. Best of luck to you, Linda! |

Thanks all. I sent a thank you card to the HR who intereviewed me. I later called to followup and had to leave a voice mail.
Someone told me it could take a month if they go thru even 25 of the applicants. Arghhhh!
Well, until they say no chance I will keep praying and hoping. (I will include you Stephanie as well - as long as we aren't going for the same job ;> ) We seem to have a few things in common.
