This afternoon at Westroads Mall in Omaha Ne 14 people were gunned down by a 19 year old assailent. Nine of the people are dead and 5 are in the hospital. The kid was fired from McDonalds and just went on a rampage! We were in Omaha today and were doing some Xmas shopping, but fortunately did not go out to Westroads. Please pray for all the family We're waiting to hear if any friends were shot. Nan

Couple friends of mine were out shopping, but fortunately not at that mall.
Prayers for the families that will never have closure for what has happened to their loved ones.

That was so traumatic to even think about far less be in that mall...

We were about 10 blocks aways away helping the kids do their food shopping, and then were planning to go out to Westroads to shop. I started to get a headache , so we drove back to Jake and Jess's place and then went on home.
We always park at the Von Maurs enterance when we shop. I have been so glad to get a migraine in my life!!
We watched the news last night and they went thorugh all the names and what they had loved to do etc... I didn't know anyone but felt a bit like I did when the show was over. I just cried and cried. I may not live in Omaha, but it has become a second home to me over the  years. It was a horrible tragedy in a town that has never had something like this before. Nan
