OMG.....I am so sorry!  Leslie and I had been on IM discussing Sarah and found a lot of info on such tumors.  I had so hoped they would be able to safely remove the tumor and suture the area.  She was such a lovely girl and I know how much you and the kids love her.  I'm sure she knew how much she was loved and cherished.  My heart goes out to you and your family. 

Erika, I am so sorry about your loss.  Losing a pet any time is devastating, but at Christmas....so much more so.  I hope, before long, the boys can remember all of the good times they had with Sarah.

I am so sorry hearing about your beloved dog, Sarah. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your boys. It is so difficult losing a long time pet. They are members of your family and the pain of losing them goes deep!! In time the pain will ease and all the good memories you all had with her will be what you remember. Hugs!!

  - for all your prayers and kind wishes. Sarah was such a sweet dog, and was only 7. I'd gotten her from a friend at barely 6 weeks old. She had to be weaned a bit early because her mom had been bitten by a rattlesnake. She is and will be greatly missed for quite some time to come. It's going to be hard learning to live without having a dog. This is the first time in my life I've not had at least one. The boys are taking it hard, but quietly. I'm not quite sure which is worse, seeing their looks & their quiet questions or the loss itself and the helplessness that goes along with it all. I'm so thankful for this group and all of you - without which I'd surely be insane. (OK, Ok... I know I'm at least half nuts now, but not totally insane... yet. lol)

 I know we talked about this last night, but I wanted to tell you again how sorry I am. A dog's love is honest and pure. I'm so sorry for your loss .Nan
