A member of ours, Maya, has a sick tiel. She took Cuty to the vet. Here is what she said in chat: Hi girls, my latest news. Went to Vet,got X-ray on Cuty, she have liver problem.It's faled, a lot of liquid in her stomac, vet took 3 serine of it (3cc). She can't walk properly,she will die, just matter of days, maybe cancer. I don't want to put her to sleep,want to let her stay as long as can be. She is not in pain now,has a pain shot,but later .... vet said to put her to sleep. I can't, she is only 15 yrs old. Worsed thing, my sister has cancer back, now it in her liver and bones, she has a chemo everyweek for 6 mo. She is last from our family, we were together from day one, she was mom to me, we lost mom when I was 17. Say hello to Abby, and talk to you soon. Oh, Maya, such sad news, both about Cuty and your sister. I lost my sister the same way, but she was gone within 6 weeks of diagnosis......I know how hard it is to loose a sister. You and your sister will be in my prayers. I hope Cuty's passing is peaceful. Sending you hugs. di |

Thank you for everything. My dearest sister will fight,she is a good fighter.Two of us got thru a lot in Russia without parents,got jobs,got our condos,then came to America(she came alone without husband),learned english,found jobs,made normal living here. Cuty in very bad condition,she breath hard with open mouth,has stomack full of liquid but eats a little and drinks. I dont know what to do,can't put her to sleep.I call vet tomorrow again.Maya |

Maya, why can you not put her to sleep? It would be the kindest thing to do when she is suffering. I understand that it is very hard for some people but it is often necessary to prevent extreme suffering. Blessings to you. I know how you are hurting. Annie |
