Whew, what a day I've had Trying to get things into place for meeting up with di's daughter Saturday to pick up Cody/Cuddles, on top of a bunch of other stuff that has had me like and then my cat started showing signs of some problems--and of course, too late to get into a vet nearby He's been trying to pee, but no success. So I've talked with a vet to determine whether he needed to be seen on an emergency basis, or if he could wait until morning. I talked with Phoebe's boyfriend (oh, alright, he's MINE ) about 10 pm and he was going to drive down here (2.5 hours from his house) tonight and help me take him to a vet tonight if that seemed necessary, but vet said the cat should be ok until morning unless he starts vomiting or staggering. So we're going to take him to a vet in Astoria early in the morning. So.....prayers that Max's problem is easily treated and he's a peeing fool soon, please. And WOW, more kudos to the shared boyfriend, for being willing to drive me and the cat--after midnight--to Portland or wherever I had to go, to get him in. |

He's so sweet, curled up on his quilt. I know he'll do just fine. And Phoebe's boyfriend sounds like a dream. Both of you hold on to him! Barb |

Talked to the vet this morning. He said Max is doing well, and he was going to take the catheter out this afternoon and see how he did. He said there was an infection that started the blockage, and about 1/3 of this type are started by certain brands of food. I hadn't fed any he mentioned, but I did buy an odd one about 6 weeks ago, so that is likely what started it. He suggested a brand he feeds (not an expensive one ) so I'll use that one. |

Max gets to come home this afternoon My dog is going to be SO happy to see him. Probably a little happier than Max will feel like dealing with |

I'm so glad he's doing so well and is getting to come home. Poor pup is missing his bud! I bet your doggie isn't the only one who is happy he's home. I hope he continues to mend and doesn't have any more problems. |

We just got home. He sure was thirsty The good news is, he pee'd! And more good news was, when I went to pay the bill there was a mysterious $50 discount showing and the lady at the desk had no idea what it was for, so she went into the account and read a note, and all she would say is "Doctor Goza knows what it's for", but she wouldn't tell me more than that. Cool--I can handle a discount And Mr. Keeper Boyfriend had given me $100 toward the bill to begin with, so it cost me nothing Whew. I needed that. |

Yeah- a cloud with a silver lining. Sounds like good news all around. Hope Max is resting comfortably, except for many potty breaks. |

I am so glad he's home. Hope he is all well now and pees a bunch but only in a litter box. Hubby laughs at us standing out in the yard on poop patrol. With Sonny being sick for so long we monitor poop carefully. Annie |
