Hi everyone. I would appreciate your prayers when I have gallbladder surgery on November 6th, 8 am PST. It is a pretty routine surgery these days, and I have a wonderful Christian surgeon who has done the surgery 1300 times, so all should be well. I've never had any surgery before, so it will be a new experience for me. Thanks! Kathy |

Hi everyone. I tried to send a message on here right before I left for the hospital on Friday morning, but it wouldn't post and then I had to get going in order to be there on time. The surgery went without a hitch and Annie's mean nurse wasn't there either. My mom and brother went with me (I drove down) and my pastor, his wife and a good friend from church met us there, so that they could entertain me during the two hours before surgery. I didn't get to go home the same day as planned because of having pain from the gas they put in you, as well as nausea. This morning I was in fine shape and got to leave at about 1130 am. We stopped at my house on the way to my mom's house in order to let the dogs out. I just got home from my mom's a few minutes ago, and was able to play the trivia game. So thank you for all your prayers and thoughts. I'm on the way to being back to my mean old self. I have a little vial of gallstones as a momento of the occasion. Kathy |

Hallelujah Glory. What terrific news. So glad you got out so easily. And I didn't get an email from you but since we left so quickly, they will snailmail any I missed. I may try to call tomorrow and ask them to just hold them since I am coming back. They sure help brighten a long long day. No confirmation is sent. They keep no record of you, That's why I knew it was safe to tell you about the service. Blessings for continued healing. Annie |

Good morning Kathy, My thoughts and prayers are with you. My knee replacement had to be postponed because it's too soon after the last shoulder repair to use crutches. Maybe in the early spring. I hope you are doing well. The worst part is over. Barbara |

Kathy. My gall bladder surgeon was one of Marty's and my best friends. Went thru college together, thru med school together and we settled here several years before he finished surgical training and came here. As they took me took me into surgery, no pre-op stuff for me that time, I said, Tom if you put gas in me you better know how how to get it out before I wake up because I know where you live. I had no gas after surgery. Gotta put the fear in these men. I loved that man with a passion. He dropped dead with a heart attack at age 55, no warning at all, and I thought my Marty would die that day. He was years younger than we are. Marty did military service before college. Tom went straight to college. We still mourn him and talk about him often. They even lived in the other side of our duplex all thru med school and a half mile from us here in town. It was the biggest funeral this town has ever seen. They had to put speakers in the parking lot and it was standing room only in a very good sized mortuary. We parked at Marty's office two blocks away and walked in. Oh how we miss him. Annie |

Just a quick note to let you know that I'm doing fine. I'll write more when I have the patience to wait for pages to load. It has been a long time since dial up internet has been this frustrating to use. Is anyone else having problems with the internet being slow as a hibernating snail? Kathy |

I'm so glad you are feeling better Kathy! I sure hope the internet starts cooperating soon too! Take care of yourself and don't try to do too much at once. Aww, Annie, I'm sorry about the loss of your friend. There are several I've lost that I miss sorely too. |
