Thank you for all your prayers and good wishes, everyone!
I can't believe I didn't give you an update yesterday! I meant to, but I guess I got sidetracked. It's probably Erika's fault! Sorry, Annie!
Yes, Julia did breeze the surgery. Murray and Laura say that they had to coax her to eat popsicles in the recovery room because her throat hurt and she didn't want to swallow. They got home with her just after 2:00 pm. Nenna and Grandad brought over a bouquet of miniature carnations for her just before she arrived, to help her "feel better faster", and of course she was absolutely charmed as no one has given her flowers before.
Julia long ago perfected the big-eyed, woe-begone, sad hound-dog look, and she was using it beautifully when anyone expressed sympathy to her. What a character! lol
I had just turned two years when they did my tonsils and adenoids. They waited until I was two as they wouldn't do them before that.
When my son Murray was little, he continually got tonisilitis, which then would turn into bronchitis, and one even broncho-pneumonia. I kept saying that the bronchitis was being caused or triggered by the tonsilitis, but by that time, doctors were more reluctant to do T&A's unless abosolutely necessary. However, just before he turned four years, we were moving from Dawson Creek down to Fernie, and I did not want to have to deal with strange doctors, hospitals, etc., so I was insistent that they "do" Murray before we left, so they did him in October. He never again had bronchitis! In fact, he rarely got sick at all after that.
Jason, my younger son, still has his tonsils. Odd how different siblings can be.
Sorry for the book! Again, thank you all for your concern!
Abby
